Damnit, someone beat me to the punch!
Maybe I'll read it
ReplyDeleteSure, I have a free while. The SCIENCE! additional tag makes it look awesome :P
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
ReplyDeleteIT'S TALON
MUST READ
looks pretty interesting
ReplyDelete"These are their stories."
ReplyDeleteTonk Tonk!
@pmcollectorboy
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I was thinking when I read that part!
Dang, now I kinda sorta wanna read an MLP Law and Order fic...
X-Files with Ponies? That would be... kinda canon actually, with all the stuff in everfree.

Can I just state that this whole thing was hilarious? Because it is. Especially the part with Twilight as a mad scientist. That part just killed me.
i just found this guy... and it was awesome
ReplyDeleteDaisy bell. This statement is false. It's a trap. Step 3: question mark.
ReplyDeleteDear author, you're awesome.
Also, around the middle there is Sweetie Pie instead of Sweetie Bell.
And one more thing...
ReplyDeleteRover's Universal Ripsnorters?
Is this a refence too or am I being paranoid?
This is absolutely hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThat was flippin AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteSo many references.
Very funny, and very episode-like except with a little more meme/shoutout intensity than the episodes could ever reasonably have.
ReplyDeleteIt's also wonderful how many stories in the fandom I could be referring to with a comment like that.
Anyway, since the tag says incomplete, I can't wait for more instalments - guessing they'll be somewhat-related oneshots.
(Oh, and there's a Terminator reference that others seem to have missed so far - Fluttershy delivers the iconic "Come with me if you want to live".)
@ZebrasArePoniesToo
ReplyDeleteYes actually. It's a reference to R.U.R., Rossum's Universal Robots, the name of the Czech play that first introduced the word "robot" to the world.
@Andrew
ReplyDeleteYay I was right ^^
I hope you write more chapters, this one was totally loltastic!
As long as we're counting references, 'Dr. Neighnian Soong's Oy, Robots' is a reference to Dr. Noonien Singh, who invented androids in the Star Trek universe, and also to Isaac Asimov's 'I, Robot' stories.
ReplyDeleteSWEETIE BOT IS MOST OPTIMAL PONY
ReplyDeleteSeems a bit drawn out for the whole idea, but I can't say I didn't like it.
ReplyDeleteWhat Sporky Hooves above me said. Kinda dragged on after a while, and it might've been better to split this up into three chapters rather than one long schlog. Still, quite enjoyable.
ReplyDelete@Recamen
ReplyDeleteOriginally it was split up into three chapters, but the pre-readers insisted I make it into one big entry.
That had me laughing so hard at work that I could hardly put it down. The references, the jokes, the logic paradoxes and their reactions, tops all the way.
ReplyDeleteYou've done it again.
You also bring up one of the greatest mysteries of MLP:FiM, just who the hell was living their before Twilight moved in? I always assumed the mad scientist gear was from her own collection, but now I wonder. It was rather convient that there was an opening wasn't there.
