Now this is a crossover I would never have expected.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds interesting, but what is it a crossover of?
ReplyDeleteSins of a Solar Empire... an RTS game that barely qualifies as having a story line.
ReplyDeleteHuuum, might be interesting but I will wait until it has more parts.
my view ticker doesn't work in chrome. on a second note, this story seems interesting.
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY RECOGNIZE THAT PIC! It's an actual achievement in Sins of A Solar Empire, where you randomly find a planet with space ponies on it.
ReplyDeleteWait wait wait, you're telling me that Sins had a storyline?! How did I miss this?

ReplyDelete@CelestiaBut SOACE have space ponies, was unavoidable
ReplyDeleteSins doesn't have a storyline, just some short back story as to why these three factions are fighting. Fun RTS though.
ReplyDeleteI loved SoaSE. I'll give this a shot, even if I question it's... umm... story credentials?
ReplyDeleteI always felt like I should make up my own story for each play session, so I don't see why it couldn't involve ponies!
ReplyDeleteI'm already reading this on FIM, and I'm enjoying it greatly
ReplyDeleteDespite having absolutely no knowledge of Sins of a Solar Empire, I am really enjoying this one. Just got done with the first chapter, and now I'm gonna dive into the next one.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I did not even know that there was a brony presence in SINS, is...their a group for this at all?
ReplyDeleteSins of a Solar Empire! The hours I've sunk into that. Gonna read this asap.
ReplyDelete@CWrebel23
ReplyDeleteIf anything is even remotely geeky/nerdy, there will be a Brony presence in it.
The header image reminds me of the false glory that is the Sporum.
ReplyDeleteThere were space ponies, they worshiped space ponies. But they shun MLP ponies...
Achieved: Yes
ReplyDeleteHa! That achievement has driven people to wits end to find the planet and have never found it. I played it and didn't even care about the achievement just to find it unlocked one day. XD
ReplyDeleteConsidering there was absolutely NO real story behind SoaSE, this should be interesting, but I am wary by the description...It has to wait anyway, still finishing Fallout: Equestria. Why are ponies so good with video game crossovers?
This looks like a good story.I'll read it when I got time.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! Someone listened! Screw that Starcraft stuff. Sins of a Solar Empire is where it's at. >.>
ReplyDeleteThank you to whomever wrote this. Now I'll get to work on a My Little Homeworld.
ReplyDeleteEventually.
Finished the two chapeters currently up. Very good. Looking forward to more!
ReplyDelete@Jimperator
ReplyDeleteI suppose, hahaha.
But still, would be interested in getting a regular Brony SINS group going...
That's not a joke, BTW. There really IS a Space Ponies achievement.
ReplyDeleteNow if only I can get my capital ships to bear the cutie marks as insignia.
now this is one crossover i was not expecting. looking forward to it, though.
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that all I can think of is Perry Gripp's "Space Unicorn" song when I read this?
ReplyDelete@Select Few
ReplyDeleteRead the tags.
Hmm, not sure if want. The only fic that completely trashes the setting of the show that I enjoy is Son of the Emperor.
ReplyDeleteHoly sit someone else found that!
ReplyDeleteAnd made a crossover!
You people never cease to amaze

ReplyDeleteA Sins crossover?! Well, this could be interesting! Sins is a great game but, yeah, the story doesn't go beyond the intro cutscene...
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. I remember this peculiar achievement. The first time I installed the game and played it I obtained it upon colonizing and exploring my very first planet. Months and a re-install later, it has continued to elude me till this day. Rather, the day I stopped playing this game.
ReplyDeleteChapter 1 shows promise. Looking forward to more. Part of me wants a massed Novalith cannon bombardment to happen in this story.
Ah, SoaSE. Remember how i played it. Fun was playing with ma friend, and wtching how huge fleets of fighters engage in combat. Or even attacking Pirates from 2 sides.
ReplyDeleteAnd still never got this achievment.
Impressed that someone actualy started to write story with space theme on here. Looking forward to read it all.
This is off to a really great start. The writing is above reproach, the characters are all great and the worldbuilding is really immersive. And I say this knowing nothing at all about the source material. I can't wait for more!
ReplyDelete@The Wulf
ReplyDeleteSOASE is just as much a 4X as an RTS. It's really difficult to impose a storyline on an Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate game.
A Sins of a Solar Empire crossover...
ReplyDelete...ME GUSTA...
I saw the image, and was like OMG SoaSE? Then I couldn't stop loling at the fact someone finally did this. XD
ReplyDeleteI just realized, Rainbow Dash's callsign is "Starbuck".
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, this is amazing. The attention to world-building has me hooked, I need more.
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a pretty good story so far. Can't wait for more :)
ReplyDeleteVery good. Love MP sci-fi crossovers and Sins is one of my favorite games. Can't wait for more :D
ReplyDeleteDAMN, this is better than I thought, please continue, I will definitely folks this story
ReplyDelete@me *follow
ReplyDeleteAnyone here A Sci Fi writer? If so contact me, Because I have a plan!
ReplyDelete@The Editor
ReplyDeleteI'm currently contemplating a Sword of the Stars crossover.
What did you have in mind?
This is very good...can't wait to read more!
ReplyDelete-Bloodpool (Nemo potest resistere)
I hereby declare the star rating system to be completely defunct and useless.
ReplyDeleteNo mention of the Advent?
ReplyDeleteConfound these space ponies, they drive me to lose sleep! Must have more!
