Sorry, #5, but I first found the Scatman song from an old DBZ AMV - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVxFv55yrNI - and it still is my favorite music video for that particular song. Nice try, though.
1. Like the show, not a fan of the theme song. The video does have a lot of awesome effects that I did appreciate, but some things ponies just can't save.
2. This was a well-produced PMV, very intricate and great use of the dialogue as well. As for the music, the melody was kickin, but not really liking the shuffle in the backbeat.
3. What I love most about movie trailer PMVs is that it seems that people work extra-hard to make sure everything lines up. And that is awesome to me. I almost want to see this movie now.
4. The original is a YouTube classic, and I appreciate the execution of this PMV. Unfortunately, all the cheering on the track is very distracting, it detracts from this video just a little bit.
5. It's great to see with all the dubstep out there, that PMV artists are still using traditional dance music, especially this song. However, would this really be a 'simple' PMV? Not really sure on the definition anymore.
Disappointed I didn't make the cut this time, but I don't have a problem waiting in line. See ya tomorrow.
I'm sorry, but if Trixie becomes a pastafarian I will have to assassinate her. I can't handle seeing another pasta monster related incident and she's basically bating one to come after her.
@the invincible Absolutely agree on #5. Saw it this morning and loved it. TommyXe's PMV's can be called a lot of things, but "simple" isn't one of them.
#1 aahhh memories... #2 DANG! EPIC PMV! #3 I always have liked movie trailer parodies. #4 Really? Wow, everything had something to match. #5 Scat? You don't see that every day. This is, also, a well made PMV. Not all of these were actually "simple".
#1 lolwut? #2 HARDSTYLE MUSIC! I was wondering when somepony would do this. #3 One of the better trailer PMV's I've seen. :D #4 Me love you long time. #5 FINALLY! One of the best I've seen!
@the invincible It is not really a simple PMV since it is from TommyXe. Most likely reason it was put here is because it was incomplete. He said that he did not have enough material to work with and that syncing to the song proved difficult.
I unfortunately had the dumb idea to click on the "Teens react to MLP" link at the end of Ponydance. I know they're children, so I will resist the urge to strangle them through my screen.
#1 Not familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh but this is rather legit. #2 Interesting song but I think the whole thing kind of falls flat, canon dialogue with different background music. #3 "My cholesterol's a little high" "WHAAAAT?" Very nice overall. #4 Holy hell. 11/10. I don't know if the audio is from something or not or if it's mostly from something and it's edited or if you just threw all this together but it is beyond amazing. I'm very picky about music but I approved over 90% of the songs used. And the big butts part, flawless! #5 Hah hah hah...what? I liked the frames.
G.I. Joe gets a big-budget movie! And so does Transformers! Why can't Hasbro's other big property get a theatrical movie? There was a movie in the eighties, why not in the 2010s?
@the invincible I decided to use the original video with all the cheering so I don't have to cut the music and save time (yes I'm a little bit lazy^^). Another advantage is that the music detection of Youtube doesn't block the video, what is a big problem in Germany and I know a lot of Bronies in Germany ;)
Upon closer inspection, #4 video is much better and clearer with the proper equipment. If you've got bad computer speakers like I do, headphones are recommended.
That's a neat little trick, too. I have this one video that's being EMI-blocked right now and can't be seen in the US. I wonder if I put a little static over it, then maybe it'll get through.
It's funny how i knew it was cereal before i even looked. Also all the PMV's were great, but spikeman takes the cake for me. Sometimes classics are just what is needed.

ReplyDeleteI have no idea what Spikeman is doing there in 5th place unless it's some kind of saving the best till last system. Top vid.
