The Pony Creator on Deviant Art has invaded the top 2011 favorited submission list.
Considering the 31,000,000 works of art added in 2011, I'm pretty sure this is a major testament to how huge the pony thing has grown!
Onward to 2012!

Awesome!
ReplyDeleteUseful program, that.
O: I wanna see. :3
ReplyDeleteIf you scroll further down, you'll also find that three pony groups made the ten most watched groups this past year!
ReplyDeleteDA is a silly place.
ReplyDeleteGood work, General Zoi. <3

ReplyDeleteI feel like such an idiot for not having come across this before. *Facepalms* Oh well, still lot's to learn apparently.
ReplyDeleteBut on topic, congratulations to General Zoi!
Deviant Art was just told to KNEEL BEFORE ZOI!
ReplyDelete(I apologize for the very old reference and/or bad pun.)
And a happy 2012 to everyone! Enjoy it before the Mayans wipe us all out!
yay ponies are taking over the internet!
ReplyDeleteLol, 5 mins before i came to EQD i saw that on DA.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to General Zoi! I've him to thank for my snazzy profile pic on here as well as gravatar!
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the three pony groups in most joined!
ReplyDeleteAlready seen it on DA's notice.
ReplyDeleteI say we made huge progress.
One thing I realized when I was making myself version of pony is that it's easier if you DRAW YOURSELF.
No joke.
The pony creator is nice and all, but it does have some limitations that cannot be used.
Maybe this is why I love to draw stuff.
Looks like a fun thing to try out.
ReplyDeletePonies took over DA groups.
ReplyDeleteYES! Bring on 2012!

ReplyDeleteActually, I only see the pony creator as a guideline to use if you don't know what exactly to draw when you're drawing your pony. You can make it as close as you can, then of course, you can draw your own pony based on it. That's how I did it.
I can see why this program is so well liked.
ReplyDeleteDamn straight! I fricking love this thing.
ReplyDeleteIt's mostly the merit of the Pony Creator's purpose.
ReplyDeleteThe two groups, however...
An awesome creator tool. That's how I made my Marc Bolan pony :)
ReplyDeleteis it bad that i can make Fluttershy in only 2 minutes on the pony creator
ReplyDeleteWow, I just discovered this, it's great!
ReplyDeleteI think its going to get a bunch more favorites, I just found it. It was crazy useful, they have like, a billion manes o.O
ReplyDeleteI was finally able to make my pony! yay!
So much OC.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sadly, that program HATES me. Whenever I try it it starts going crazy and flashes randomly. What's the problem?
ReplyDeleteHere are some news: we are awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, those aren't news.
Wow, that means we have reached a critical mass where we can move in groups and overwhelm any statistic... Bronies, I am proud. (especially for the good art, that is. ^^)
ReplyDeletethis thing is the vain of many artists -.- god i hate that flash
ReplyDeleteI expected this :D
ReplyDeletedon't mean to sound like a snide jerky artist, my art skills are incredibly limited, but I prefer to draw mine from scratch :p
ReplyDeletebut I did start with the creator, so yay :D
Ummm for anyone who dosen't know, General Zoi is a mare, not a stallion. It was in the ponycode compilation post for anyone that cared to read the description.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention also that three pony groups also hit the most watched list.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it's just people saving it for future works.
ReplyDeleteYeah it's not sir. It's madame for those who think the creator of the pony creator is a guy.
ReplyDeleteLol I just saw that before coming to EQD XD
Don't forget, you can save your pony creation by going to the Advanced tab and copying the ponycode to a text file. The ponycode compilation journal post has most of the main ponies.
ReplyDeleteYou can do the same for accessories and poses, so if you create a particularly useful outfit or pose, you can trade them with friends.
I'd like to see ponycodes added to the MLPFiM wiki.
I've known about the Pony Creator for a while but this is the first time I've tried it out. It's amazingly versatile (although there are one or two things you can't do, like move the wings in the pose manipulation section). I'm no artist, but that's not what I'm using it for; it's great for visualising/ maintaining a list of OCs when writing fanfic. Kudos to the creator.
ReplyDeleteAs someone with no ability to draw a pony whatsoever, this program's been the only means I have of depicting my OC.
ReplyDeleteFor that, I cannot thank you enough, General Zoi. *brohoof*
@ Spark cloud, I've had issues with the Pony Creator before and had to use download tab in dA. It should work better for you.
ReplyDeleteMasterLuigi452 and Jay6, That's what I mainly use the Pony Creator program for, as a guideline for my hand drawn character later.
Sorry to say that anything I made on the Pony Generator gets more likes and faves than my hand drawn stuff does. It's kinda depressing.
As someone who has limited experience/skill in drawing anything non human I found this to be a useful tutorial of sorts. And it's fun to play around with in general.
