Actually Scoots can indeed fly, look at the beginning of the Cutie Mark Chronicles, she flies - my only guess is why she doesn't normally fly is because she likes her Scooter and the town is Earth Pony based and she doesn't really need to fly
@JollyXercis She hovers briefly, she doesn't sustain flight. Otherwise, yeah, I believe scootaloo doesn't fly because she was raised in a non-flying environment and is actively discouraged from flying due to caretakers yelling at her when she takes off. So it isn't that pound can fly super early, its that he hasn't been discouraged from flying yet.
@JollyXercis I agree. Scootaloo prolly CAN fly, but insead uses her wings to give her a boss edge on the scooter. (hint hint SCOOTaloo SCOOTer) I propose this to be considered fanon!
1. The effects were amazing, and it really feeds into the whole 'madness' theme we got going here. Really that was just a great episode. I just wish this had been a little longer.
2. The melody was fantastic, and the visual effects were astounding as well. A lot of people won't really get the twitchy-style vocals, but I thought it worked really well. It reminds me a bit of an early Girl Talk album.
3. This one had me laughing through the entire video. I heard the song here before, and I couldn't have asked for a better video for it. Great work!
I actually thought that Babys of both types had surges, and Pound cake will lose his ability to fly that well when he gets older, and then regain it when he becomes fully grown.
"Once he gets his wings going, he'll be all over the place" was Rainbow's warning. Which is what happened!
Of course, that warning came disguised as regular Rainbow Dash enthusiasm, while Rarity expressed hers in a more worried tone. With the way the episode went, Rainbow's line was clearly meant to fulfill the same role as Rarity's about random magic surges - to foreshadow the episode's events. I would think Rainbow knows just as much about pegasi foals as Rarity knows about unicorns, but because she's the less "serious" one, ponies take her warnings less seriously. Kind of unfair!
Any one else remember the little cherub pegasi at the end of FiM, Pt. 2 that put the flowers on Luna? I'm figuring it has a lot to do with the wing to body size ratio.
Or maybe Scoots is a bit stunted and is undergoing physical therapy to get her wings up to full strength. Whatever the case may be I'm sure our little chicken gets a happy ending.
@GoldenSandslash15 is right, there was a decent second of hovering there.
I'm guessing that, just like there are Big Macintosh-sized stallions and Caramel-sized stallions, certain pegasi are just better at hovering than soaring. Take Fluttershy for instance; she doesn't do much soaring, but she does hover a lot.
first one just doesnt sound nice.... the lack of understanding possible lyrics was annoying the second was more of the same. might have been good if it was understandable the third one was pretty good even if the voice was kinda annoying the beat and lyrics were good

ReplyDeleteI thought they did explain how Pound Cake was able to fly so well.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is cool and the third one is hilarious x)
ReplyDeleteWhat would Twilight Sparkle do? Descend into madness.
ReplyDeleteI like the part in the third one where he says "Books".
ReplyDelete>like they did for Carrot
ReplyDeleteI THINK YOU MEAN LIKE THEY DID FOR PUMPKIN
Carrot Cake is the dad.
They were all fun to listen to. And the first one I think sums all of us up perfectly when we're in the middle of a mental breakdown.

ReplyDeleteOk. Thats was fun. #3 gave me a good laugh. Well made and clever. Good job all 'round. :)
ReplyDeleteBut #1...what

ReplyDeleteTIM LOVE CHICKEN!!!
ReplyDeletecouldn't resist
Wow, you sure know how to pick'em, Cereal.

ReplyDeleteThree was the best thing ever. OF ALL TIME.
ReplyDeleteThough the thing I find exceptionally funny is that the original "Brian Boitano" version is absurd and over-the-top while this one is just accurate.
"When Brian Boitano built the pyramids he beat up Kublai Kahn..."
"Once he gets his wings going, he'll be all over the place" was Rainbow's warning. Which is what happened!

#1 Eeyup.
ReplyDelete#2 I liked the background music and Rarity is best pony.
#3 You just won an internet!
ЯЗЬ!
ReplyDeleteI still don't think Pumpkin Cake's conscious command of powerful magic that not even Twilight has done yet was "a burst of magic". But whatever!
ReplyDeleteYeah, these were fun. Especially nice job on "What would Twilight Sparkle do?"
ReplyDeleteJOHN JOSECO
ReplyDeleteWell it's about time someone did number 3.
ReplyDeleteI made a reference to south parks Brian Botano song months ago.
This fandom is a little slow, but does things very well.

ReplyDeleteI approve of #3
ReplyDeleteRandom videos will get me insane for a moment!!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause of #2, I watched the episode "lesson Zero" again!!!
ReplyDeleteОго!! Первый меня поразил! Это известный русский прикол про рыбу. Я не ожидал увидеть его здесь.
ReplyDeleteWow! First - I was amazed! It is well-known Russian joke about the fish. I did not expect it here.
third one is hilarious and the first one is a complete mental breakdown
ReplyDelete#3.
ReplyDeleteProof that Twilight is best pony.
You know, Scootaloo DID fly during "The Cutie Pox" during the "We'll make you feel better, Apple Bloom / No you won't" montage.
ReplyDelete@N.e.k.i.t Аминь, брат!
ReplyDelete#3 LOL Twi you are awesome :D... if only you were here to see this :P.

The second one was awesome. I don't think people realize how hard it is to make a voice thing like that
ReplyDeleteFirst two were pretty good (although 1 was just...bwahuuuh?), but #3 really took the cake.
ReplyDeleteAnd assaulted me with it.
first one just doesnt sound nice.... the lack of understanding possible lyrics was annoying
ReplyDeletethe second was more of the same. might have been good if it was understandable
the third one was pretty good even if the voice was kinda annoying the beat and lyrics were good
3. That was most entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI...was just thinking about a version of "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" about Twilight yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI had absolutely no idea such a thing existed. And I am disappointed. The voice is very annoying. If I had a microphone, I'd totally give it a shot.
Also, "Rarity" gives me an idea...The Zutons' Valerie, ponified.
