Dat third one
VastaKustuta2nd
VastaKustutaYay I wasn't the only one that thought of the simpsons monorail song when I saw the flimflam brothers.
VastaKustutashouldn't that second one and first one be under simple? Or did personal preference give them upgrades?
VastaKustutai definitely thought of the "Music Man" when watching the flimflam bros.
VastaKustutaMusic Man and Simpsons?
VastaKustutaYES!
AN epic PMV for an Epic song!
VastaKustutaNumber one is genius!
(っ◕‿◕)っ Yay

VastaKustutaMy reaction to all three of these can be summed up in one expression :D To be honest I like Ya Got Trouble better then Monorail just fits better I guess.
VastaKustutaThe post switched the PMVs order on me.
VastaKustuta2. Out of sync in a few spots, but getting the whole song done this quick is impressive.
3. Lip sync is nearly perfect, great job!
Eh. That's not the best Monorail sync up I've seen, but it isn't that far short.
VastaKustutaAw, third one forgot the, "Mono- D'Oh!"
VastaKustutaFor those who think the Flim Flam brother's song in any way shape or form sounds like th eMonorail song, please remove your ears and return them for either a refund or a new pair because they clearly don't work.
VastaKustutaYee-Haw, someone did this!
VastaKustutaJust this morning, on the S.S.C.S.6000 discussion, someone wanted this done, and I know I did. Marge Vs. The Monorail meets MLP FTW!!!!
This is the best monorail mix

I really enjoyed the number 2 and 3!
VastaKustutaIt makes me sad that people first thought about the Simpsons rather than The Music Man, but at least the Monorail song is a reference to The Music Man, so in a round about way they get to the reference.

VastaKustutaA Turn of the Century traveling salesman selling a product in the form of a showtune while the audience chants something the background.
Maybe the Flim Flam song is different as far as how it's musically structured, but the general tone behind it is very much the same.
Sigh, tried enjoying the Monorail pmv, but kept thinking how cool it would have been if Phil Hartman was still around and might have voiced the Flim Flam Brothers.
VastaKustutaIt still hurts even after all this time.
@naahdude
VastaKustutaYes. That's the exact one I was thinking about.
@Thar The first one uses custom animation, and that's not simple in any way! I think the second and third ones got preference because of how fast they were completed.
VastaKustutaYou misplaced the '/'...
VastaKustuta@Jason New Era
VastaKustutaCheck this one out >u<

Drats, my monorail video is now redundant.
VastaKustutaI've now seen 3 people do the Monorail song. It's really popular.
VastaKustuta@mattwhite924A reference to a reference? Still doesn't beat "Art of the Mattress" which was a parody of a cover, of a cover, of a cover.
VastaKustutaAm I the only one who is getting a little bothered with people going on the original vids that this ep referencing and posting about this show referencing it?
VastaKustutaOverall, the first video is really nicely done.
VastaKustutaThe last one was inevitable and not at all unwelcome.
VastaKustutaWow... I think this is the first time I've watched a video before it came up on EqD. But a great animation for a great song.
VastaKustutaThe other 2 PMV's were good, too, especially considering the time.
Number 2 was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the episode..... Thank you to who ever did this!!!!
VastaKustuta@CaptainDash
VastaKustutaAll we need is for William Shatner to do a spoken word version of it to complete the list of things that can be done to a song.
JackleApp's Griffin must be the most cheerful undertaker trapped behind a black-and-white filter ever.
VastaKustuta@naahdude
VastaKustutaWow, that one is so superior its not even funny lol.
@SuperGiantRobot

NEGRO PLEASE
I KNEW IT. It's like this fandom is a hive mind and I'm a part of it. I predicted at least one video of this before the day was out.
VastaKustutanow someone sync up Flim Flam brothers footage with the milkshake speech from There Will Be Blood.
VastaKustutaMonorail! Monorail! Monorail!
VastaKustutaAnother song that you'd usually only find in a musical and that half of us will hate and half of us will love?
VastaKustutaSounds AWESOME!
#3 Simpsons did it! Mono-D'OH.
VastaKustutaNever seen the original #2 but I love how so many songs of thiers reference old songs and bgm's from other movies. Is #3 also a reference to the second one as well?
VastaKustutaWhile we're on #3...AT THE GALA!
VastaKustutaSpike: Gala...D'OH!
@naahdude
VastaKustutaI completely agree. While the Flim Flam Brothers song does have its own sort of originality, the general sales pitch song thing has been going on in musicals since the early 1900s... look it up.
Fuck the Simpsons (jk) but seriously they didn't do EVERYTHING first.
So yeah what you said is a perfect way to put it.
Mono... D'oh!
VastaKustutaThat was fast.
VastaKustutaI never thought of anything, not even the monorail song when I heard the flimflam song.
VastaKustutaI'm probably the only person that thought the flimflam song is nothing like the monorail song.
monorail
VastaKustutalolol
first one is the best
@slizardmaster
VastaKustutaYes, both the monorail song and the Flim Flam's Opportunity song are based on Trouble from The Music Man, about a fast-talking con man who blows into a hick town and sells them on the idea of forming a marching band (to keep their children from taking up idle vices) with no intention of delivering.
I'm happy to see that not only is the original inspiration (Music Man) clearly acknowledged, but that the fandom is knowledgeable enough to recognize & appreciate the homage. "Simpsons may have done it" already, but even that was a while ago.
VastaKustutaMusic Man isn't my cuppa tea, but the world would be quite boring if it were filled with only things I like.
