It's vocal time! We have some rap (That has a really creepy ending, but everything leading to it is good!), some Apples, and a parody of Take on Me. Enjoy!

ReplyDelete#2: Monty Python "Lumberjack" parody? !!!
You really should have had that in the description...
That image. It is adorable.
ReplyDelete"And he bucks all day."
ReplyDeleteI missunderstood that a tad.
No.2 is still bloody brillient!
Yeah...that first one was really, really creepy, but it was good until the whole wearing someone's skin...
ReplyDeleteI digress, that image is extremely cute and I love everypony in it XD
The second was amusing. Not much more to say, but that's what you were aiming for, right? :)
Third one was a little off, but the idea behind it is interesting :D Mostly in the chorus part, than anything, but your voice was a little low in general. Otherwise, I enjoyed it!
Wow... that first one. Not a bad parody. Lots of conflicting feelings on it though. lol I'll start out with the singing. It was alright. I felt the pronunciation and strong projection seemed a little off or misplaced in certain parts. But not bad overall. I knew you were going to kill off Twilight at the end. lol The last verse is what really surprised me though. As I'm sure was your intention for anyone listening to it. It started off kinda cute. But then it progressed into creepier and creepier. I know that was the intent of the later part of the fourth verse though. :P
ReplyDeleteUmm... not entirely sure what to say to the second one. lol Not sure if it's meant to sound like that or if you need a much better mic. :P It's a cute silly song definitely. Might benefit from a better mic and a little work on your singing. But for all I know, it's meant to sound like that. :P
Haha, Take On Me. I love that song. So going to have to listen to the original after that now. :P The singing is so/so. I'd say practice singing a bit more. But other than that... this is actually a really cute fun song. :D
*wonders if #1 has an instrumental w/ background vocals*
ReplyDeleteMeh, decent music here and there, keep it up dudes. :D So-so parody's.
ReplyDeleteThat... That first one... Wat.
ReplyDeleteI'm...
Yeah, I'll skip on downloading that one.
Second one, oh god yes. That's just straight up hysterical. Download!
Aaaand, third! I can already tell I'm gonna enjoy this just be what the title is, and what it's parodying. I just know I'll be downloading this one~
XD Smartypants...
ReplyDeleteStan......Twi
ReplyDeleteDamn....really liked it though and the other ones.

ReplyDeleteThat Stan parody was awesome for the most part. It sorta lost the tension/creepiness when he said something along the lines of, "When I eat something good I imagine I'm tasting you." Because that was hilarious to me.
ReplyDelete#2 My reaction, "wait that tune sounds familiar..." "Oh no"
ReplyDelete*face hoof*
I am disappoint at the bronies lack of knowledge of quality hiphop. I know the original song and I love it, so I figured I knew what was coming and I did....until he started talking about "Wearing Craig McCracken's skin" and imagining he's "Tasting Lauren" whenever he tastes something good.
ReplyDelete....that's just grounds for a restraining order. Now when she goes to Bronycon she's gonna constantly be on the lookout for Big Bird (yeah I know that's not how he spelled his name, but that would be a definitive identifier).
Since there's an Instrumental Music post already, why not a Filk/Parody Music post too? Since that's all this one is.
ReplyDeleteLol'd at number 2
ReplyDelete#1: Ooo, a Stan parody. It was pretty well done overall. He speaks clearly and keeps with the flow of the beat, creative lyrics too. The last part was the one that interested me the most. I wonder if he really meant that or if it was just a joke to insert at the end of the song.
ReplyDelete#2: This one made me giggle a lot, really cute and silly rendition of the Lumberjack song. I loved that part of Lesson Zero where Big Mac ran off gleefully with the Smarty Pants doll, so it made me even happier to see a music parody made out of that. The only thing I'd change about it is making his singing voice a little clearer and lower in tone. Otherwise, great parody!
#3: Decent take on Take on Me. It seemed like every now and then the singing got slightly off-key and wasn't always clear. But the mixing and editing was quite smooth and harmonious. 7/10
For those who want it, the author of #1 (friend of mine) also posted another version on Youtube that lacks the creepy "Wearing Skin" part.

@wackypony
ReplyDeleteIt does. Look up "Stan - instrumental". Actually, the OP probably should've mentioned the original to begin with, so that people might not be so creeped out by the parody.
I thought The Apple Farmer song was official.
ReplyDeleteThree different parodies? :)
ReplyDeleteEminem, Monty Python, and a-Ha!?
Nice.
