Loved all these songs (Of course I'll love #2 because I helped write it)
I had a lot of fun doing the song with Cats, And I love these other 2 as well!I hope Cats and I show up next to great songs like this again sometime soon!
I am the person who wrote and recorded the first song on this list. I know my vocals can use some work, I hope to get remastered versions of this and my other songs on my YouTube channel. Also, my main inspiration was MandoPony. Thanks for the feedback people.
It seems that of all the vocal music on EqD to date, I haven't liked about 95% of it, and all for one of two reasons: 1) People who really shouldn't be singing, or 2) Terrible recordings/poor equipment used to record.
If dedicated people could fix these issues, either by having talented friends/collaborators sing or ponying up $100 for a decent mic/computer connection, I think I would like a lot of it. Not trying to be harsh, but I'm serious when I say that there's a LOT LOT LOT of talent that isn't coming through because of it.
I can speak on behalf of yelling at cats, that him and I have both spent well over 100 dollars on our equipment, and his recording quality is actually quite OK seeing as his set up is just starting out, and as for mine, I could have better quality if I had more money, I've been use 4 pillows and a Red lobster Napkin for a stereo processor...
@Discordian Beats Believe me, I appreciate the fact that you take pride in your art and want it to be good. I'm basically just generalizing the last 6 months or so of original vocal songs I've heard. As a musician, producer and sound engineer, I get seriously frustrated when I hear stuff that sounds like it was recorded with an iPhone, and I guess I just sorta snapped. Primarily, I want to see artists succeed and only be held back by the limits of their abilities, not technical garbage.
@baschotaria I used a chorus effect on the acoustic guitar. @Ravey thanks To everyone conserned: I also think I should have tried to sing a little louder or even an octave higher. I could just increase the volume on Garage Band.
Oh I feel you, brother. ppl recording on the PC mic that came with their mom's Gateway in 1998 and shit. lol
The sound quality on Dragon Tears is not a problem at all. The DB's vocals are a bit muffled and YAC could use a DeEsser, but other than that this sounds fine. Keep in mind that Hip-Hop is VERY forgiving as a genre when it comes to sound quality - Wu-Tang and Big Daddy Kane's classic debut albums had TERRIBLE sound quality. Hell, professional recording equipment is one of the things that ruined Jedi Mind Tricks imho.

Videos 1 and 2 are kewl but the 3rd is some kind of random sounds mixed with The Best Pony. If it was meant as a joke, I don't get it :]
VastaKustuta#2 and 3 are very nice
VastaKustuta#3 is great! I was worried it was going to go all dubsteppy at 01:30, but fortunately it didn't.
VastaKustutaI enjoyed #1 because I don't hear alot a good acustic song. And the theme was very nice as well.
VastaKustuta#2 Loved this song because of the what it toches on, I hope Spike never actualy grows up and leaves!
For the third I liked it alot, and and even if it didn't have the snipits of Pinky Pie in there it would still be a great song.
#1 The song is really sweet, but I just can't recognize anything pony related at all in it :( At least mention her name ;)
VastaKustuta#2 That's more like what #1 should've been, nice one :D
#3 Interesting, well done

#1 Great song, guitar sounds a little thin though
VastaKustuta#2 Well I already love YAC sooooo
#3 It threw me off in the beggining, then the drop happened, so i'm sold
@baschotaria I used a chorus effect on the acoustic guitar.

@WhoovesDerpy Try Derpidety. Really freakin' good.
VastaKustutaLove #2! Very smooth vibe, almost a Common or The Roots feel to it. Yeah, anybody who knows shit about rap knows what a huge compliment that is.
