Pinkie Brew: Rock Edition? Hell yeah! Someone needs to remix that Sweetie Belle robot song now.
We also have a remix of everything, and a Cutie Mark Crusading piano version.

ReplyDeleteWow, it's practically been a music marathon here today, and that's a good thing. First was a pretty interesting version of Pinkie's Brew, and I liked it. Second sounded just beautfiul. And as a pianist myself, I was blown to the other side of my room as I listend to the third one. The perfect blend of beautiful and awesome. And how can you not like the CMC slide show.
ReplyDeleteI loved the third one it was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo much music! This is the 4th consecutive music post!
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll go check out this Pinkie's brew remix.

ReplyDeleteYou also may recall there was absolutely nothing posted yesterday, because of SOPA.
Listened to the first one yesterday and loved it. After that I ended up re-watching Friendship is Witchcraft...again.
ReplyDeleteThe CMC Prelude sounds like a track from Final Fantasy X/X2.
ReplyDelete#1 Hah, the way this one started out... then it pretty much stated what I was also thinking. :P Anything with Tombstone apart of it is bound to be more dynamic than that. It turned out to be a fun take on Pinkie's Brew.
ReplyDelete#2 This one has a fun and upbeat little beat to it.
#3 Rather decent piano piece. I enjoyed it.
Good music. Happy anniversary to everypony! yay!
ReplyDeleteReally good music! :D Loving the first one.
ReplyDeleteAnother Bronyfied cover? Definitely gonna check it out, love his stuff.
ReplyDelete#1. Saw Tomb working on this and he did an excellent job with it.
ReplyDelete#1. This one was super high energy and lots of fun. I found myself banging along with the beat and enjoying the double bass. The little "WUT?" bit at the beginning could be awkward for multiple play-throughs. I might be tempted to trim it before dropping it on my PMP.
ReplyDelete#2. This one felt like it was slipping on the beat a lot of the time. It's not a bad song, but it felt sloppy.
#3. This is a super impressive piano piece. The arrangement is very energetic initially and much more somber later; building up the excitement and then faltering with failure. Arrangement-wise though it feels short. Maybe it's just my predisposition to this style of musical storytelling, but I'd expect a hopeful reprise at the end.
As for the recording there's a couple of places where the song was cut up by editing in the You Tube video. Given that it clearly has the part actually played by actual human hands, and this is by no means an easy piece, I'm going to let it slide and call it awesome. But if they wanted to put the cherry on top: a single take, clean play through would make this a perfect work.
