ReplyDeleteJust watched Lesson Zero again, and found the cupcake frosting scene even funnier. After all, Twilight was worried about who would get more frosting when there was an extra cupcake. So what was she planning to do with the extra one before she dropped it on the library's floor?
Also been thinking about the origins of Celestia and Luna. They were not involved in the Hearth Warming Eve episode. The banner might of just been symbolic of the new harmony between the 3 tribes, also at the time unicorns controlled the rise of the sun and moon. So maybe Discord or the 3 tribes created the princesses. After all Discord showed he had the power to remove horns and wings, so what stops him from giving them?

Piracy has its ups and downs, but I'd rather know what I'm getting into before I buy something. I wouldn't just go out and purchase MLP:FiM for myself if I didn't know anything about it.

And there is nothing in the rules that invalidates MLP from any category. The driving rule is that it needs to be released in the US on the (specified) media during the award qualification time, which is January 1st, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
I'm assuming I'm just running into some sort of political, "This award show is anti-Vancouver productions" or something like that. In order to be a voting member you have to prove you are actively working in the animation field, and I'm assuming most if not all of the voting members are Hollywood only.

They are a bill in the Legislature which some ignorant and corrupt politicians who are in the government only for money, fame, and/or power are trying to pass because they are wanted by companies in the media industries (which already plagiarize within themselves, but refuse to admit it) that "donate" them money for "campaigning".

If these bills pass, thousands of bronies will be unable to watch the show or new episodes because they don't get The Hub. Many of us rely on YouTube and streams for access to the show.

Getting real for a second. I don't think there's a good chance that SOPA/PIPA will pass, especially after the major spotlight it's recieving. It's good to show support and rally against it, but remember, the sky isn't falling.

While it would definitely hinder many of us, I doubt it will stop us. After all, look how successful Prohibition turned out, and that was before the internet existed at all. We would find a way, especially as long as VCRs and DVRs exist and postal services still operate.

I really cant say how up and down this day had been, went to walmart, found the blind bag ponies in the trading card shelf, AND THE IDENTIFICATION STILL WORKS!!!! i got clear rainbow dash, the 2 clear twilight sparkles, and the clear pinkie pie. along with the only 3 of the mane 6 they had, rarity, pinkie pie, and fluttershy, then at toys r us (i work there) i found a box in the back storage room, we had just got a new shipment and it was on the truck i was unloading. so i sneaked around the manager and i popped open the box, found another set of the clear ones, and the rest of the mane 6 in regular paint, rainbow dash, twilight, and applejack (i payed for them, of course) but then......equestria daily is doing THIS!!!!!

ReplyDeleteAt first, I couldn't go to sleep without watching an episode. 24 days later, I went into withdrawl. Quitting cold turkey sucks, let me tell ya. So a week later, I found EqD.
And now I lurk the blog almost 24/7.
(I swear, I'm not downplaying withdrawl. It's just that pony withdrawl is serious, too.)

ReplyDeleteBefore Ponyarchive.org got shut down, i downloaded all the episodes in 720p cc, up to episode 11 of season 2. now i just clip em 1080p from uploaders. i have all the episodes downloaded, so i marathon em every once and a while. i also have a youtube playlist i stream over my bluray players youtube app. not really withdraw isnt a problem for me, its the lack of pic updates (i save the ones i like on my pc :) and the little news tidbits and info that leaks into here for us to read.

@Hawklaser You do bring up a good point there. When you restrict something, that's when people are at their most creative. Though it may require jumping through hoops, people find a way to get to what they want/need.
