What is this new look on EqD (or blogger I don't know really), I like it, I can also identify Seth's comments easier with that Happy Trixie is Happy image at the right.
@S008 Even English speakers can be confused at times due to differing dialects. After all, you only have to look at the total horseapple-storm that was the posting of the description of that cider-based episode to see that. Half the posters were confused and thought we would have drunk ponies while the other half were getting ticked about people thinking the ponies would be drunk, and so on and so forth.
@ToySoldierScratch Of course I speak this English, it's necessary for communicating between realms, but I don't understand since even though most sentient creatures in Equestria have apposable appendages, ponies don't really have pinkies and she...oh, duh. I should know that...
For anyone who's never seen Sweeney Todd before, avoid the Johnny Depp version. The story is intended as a dark comedy, but the director of that adaptation forgot the comedy and overdid the dark.
To the person who said she had blonde hair: take a look around 16:03. You can see Princess Celestia, Granny Smith, and her father's hat on screen at one time. The hat is undoubtedly yellow. Granny Smith's hair is much closer to the color of Celestia's coat. So at the very least, it's much more white than yellow.
All these people never seen Sweeney Todd or know what a pinky is make me sad.
And I must disagree with a previous comment: DO check out the Johnny Depp version, its awesome. But the old films and musicals are nice, I suppose...as is the original story/legend.
I am always reminded of Sweeney Todd when I think about the fanfic I shall not mention here so people have less nightmares, and I personally think the fanfic was inspired by it.
What's that rule? Rule 63? I can't remember, anyways that's one of the few gender swap comics I didn't completely dislike. Most of them are cringe worty.

For those of you who are confused:
ReplyDelete#2: Mrs. Lovett is a baker in the film "Sweeney Todd". She baked the worst pies.
Also #1 is great! I like guy-ra! ^^
I love that Lyra's in both comics.
ReplyDelete@NonoPony
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. Sweeney Todd reference is so much win. If they can do art of Kermit and Miss piggy, they can do ponies, too!
I had to look up the key words in #2 to get the joke >.<
ReplyDeleteI did not watch Sweeney Todd
Aaaand now I have "The Worst Pies in London" going through my head.
ReplyDeleteWhat joke is that first one referring to?
ReplyDeleteLyra has the best facial expressions.

ReplyDeleteFor all the confused non-english speakers. "pinkie" is the little finger.
ReplyDelete@#2 Who the heck is Celesta?
ReplyDeleteNon-English speakers should probably learn English before visiting English or American blogs.
ReplyDeleteBy the by, "Guy-ra" makes me think of "White-ra".
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite comic artists! Yay! Also, noticeable change (for the better) in the mobile version of the site. Did I miss something?

ReplyDeleteYes. All my money.
Guy-ra is the best thing I've seen since... well... I don't know. It's awesome, and that's all that matters.

ReplyDeleteOn an unrelated note: when did the comment system on the mobile site change? Cause this is nice. :-D
Lol. Guy-ra is decidedly best pony. For this hour, anyway.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone who's never seen Sweeney Todd before, avoid the Johnny Depp version. The story is intended as a dark comedy, but the director of that adaptation forgot the comedy and overdid the dark.
ReplyDelete#1 Dat "Guy-ra". lol Look at Bonbon in the last panel, thinking over said possibilities of having two Lyra's. ;)
ReplyDelete#2 Hah, that pinkie pie. Silly Pinkie. :P I love Lyra in the window of the third panel.

#1 HEY OH! Funny that there's no difference in their manes though.
ReplyDelete#2 I don't get it <(-_-)>
