They've already used link unponified and with Twilight Sparkle.
If you can write a story where Epona ends up in Equestria and goes on a quest similar to Link's. That horse has got to be doing something when Link isn't around to pet or ride her.
Once, my mechanic, Mel,and I TP'd Rainbow Dash's House. We had to rent a cherry picker to get up that high! Next thing we know, there are chickens in the trunk of a Buick in the showroom.
@Sebbaa I think it comes from the episode "The Stare Master", when they wander off into the Everfree Forest in search of the lost chicken, Applebloom calls Scootaloo a chicken, then proceeds to call for the chicken by saying "Scootaloooo! Scoot Scootaloooo!"
I said similar not exactly like one of Links quest, copy and paste style stories make for poor reading when you already know the ending. Why not try an original story while using a few set truths of the Zelda formula in the pony universe, in fact have Epona drop in carrying several of Links rather blantantly magical items.
Then try to figure out how a pony could possible use them when they weren't designed for it in the first place.
Epona would also have to be a clever and cunning earth pony.
The rod that allows you to control statues? That'd give just give you control over Discord and would be considered over powered, unless his powers won't work while he's still turned to stone.(It did take him more then a thousand years to get out the first time.) Thus all he would be able to do is talk or move to the will of the rod's holder.
Think a little further outside the box then that and then you'll have something. Discord isn't incredibly evil, just chaotic.
On that note, what of the horse call? Would that be like a soothing, everypony-in-earshot-stops-what-they're-doing-to-listen thing, or painful like a dog whistle?
Fear the cukoos I learned my lesson(Flashback he remembered the time when he hit a cukoo a lot and raging chickens came at him and killed him "Shivers")People always remind everyone to never I mean never make Scootaloo angry O_O
This is a wonderful comic. The jokes a little old, but still funny. The ponies a are on model, colorful, expressive, and well shaded. The background is vibrant and detailed. I certainly hope the artist does more comics/pics in the future.
If your talking Epona's Song, then only Epona would react to that as it seems every incarnation of her tends to end up listening to it while growing up. Thus it would probably be soothing to every other pony and meaningful to Epona.
If your talking whistle grass, then soothing at the least.
In any case Epona would likely want to find out who could possibly know her song that's only played or sung in Hyrule.
Also, Applejack might take a liking to Epona's Song considering how Epona is always raised on a farm. I can think of a few good lead ups to a brick joke for that.

ReplyDelete@wackypony You mean Greatest right?
ReplyDeleteFOOLS
ReplyDeleteYOU HAVE AROUSED THE WRATH OF THE CHICKEN QUEEN
If someone made an actual Zelda crossover, would one make Epona the heroine, or would one just ponify Link?
ReplyDeleteScootaloo is Filly Hatcher, she hatches chickens and they make her their hero. Also they are vicious and invincible.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget Mega Cuccoo exist as well!
CALOOKA CALLOO!
*hugs Scootaloo*
ReplyDeleteIt's alright, at least you have the most unstoppable power of all. The rage of the Cuckos!!

My forgotten childhood is once more rearing its ugly head.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this?
CHICKEN SUMMONING POWERS, ACTIVATE!
ReplyDeleteOnce, my mechanic, Mel,and I TP'd Rainbow Dash's House. We had to rent a cherry picker to get up that high! Next thing we know, there are chickens in the trunk of a Buick in the showroom.
Coincidence?
Or was it... something more!
That was so awesomely cute!
ReplyDeleteThe chickens have been summoned!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Took me awhile to figure out what happened. Love Sweetie Belle's face in these, but in the third panel I think Scootaloo has gas.
ReplyDelete*Whoops, FOURTH panel. I need to go back to magic kindergarten and learn to count.
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite things have found each other yet again!
ReplyDeleteSweetie Belle is Zelda!
ReplyDelete@D. Shadows Hmm..m I think you have something there. Suggestions? Any preference for which incarnation to base it upon?
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Twilight Princess with Luna as Midna, Discord as Zant... but wait, that leaves Ganon, doesn't it...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of OOT the whole time when I saw the title.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, TP doesn't have the Revenge Squad, does it...
ReplyDeleteThe Scootaloo chicken joke, again.
ReplyDeleteFinally used cleverly for once.
Scootachicken will never die, will it? It's ingrained into the deepest crevasses of our community.
See, this is what happens when you keep calling Scoots a chicken. She goes chicken on you! Hahaha. Very clever comic.
ReplyDeleteWhere does this Scotaloo Chicken joke come from anyway?
ReplyDelete@Sebbaa I think it comes from the episode "The Stare Master", when they wander off into the Everfree Forest in search of the lost chicken, Applebloom calls Scootaloo a chicken, then proceeds to call for the chicken by saying "Scootaloooo! Scoot Scootaloooo!"

@D. Shadows The more I hear it, the more I like it. I can see a pony using the Gale Boomerang, maybe some bombs...
ReplyDelete@Senior Waffles
ReplyDeleteoh! now i get that scene. thx.
@D. Shadows I like it... Ooh! Ooh! Dominion Rod on Disord Statue! She drops it and some jerk accidentally frees him with it!
ReplyDeleteIn Twilight Princess (which needs a comic of Twilight Sparkle), don't you actually become the cuckoo?
ReplyDelete@Multiversity
