I actually had all of these filed into the Episode followup post, but I decided to split them off and post them up separately! A bunch of people decided to try cooking Chimicherrychongas up themselves, and surprisingly enough, it worked like a charm. Check more out after the break!

ReplyDeleteDuuuuude, the first one. Sooo hungry now.
ReplyDeleteOh wow.
ReplyDeleteExhibits #241,897 through #241,902 on why this fandom is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteEeyup!
ReplyDeleteI know what I'm doing for my next meetup now!
My god.
ReplyDeleteMy god, my god my god.
It's...
BEAUTIFUL.
The real question is: How annoyed does Rarity get when you eat these?
ReplyDeleteDo want!!!
ReplyDeleteBoy does this fandom really move quickly...
ReplyDeletealso: I'm hungry
Want so damn much...would make a damn good dessert with Aussie cherries!
ReplyDeleteI haven't eaten today and I won't eat in a while... But so hungry =( <--über sad face
ReplyDelete!!!~chimichanga~!!!
ReplyDeleteSome of those look very appetising, others, however, were quite the opposite.
ReplyDelete@Dͪ͊ͦḮ̘ͯS̔̐̓C̹̔Ã’͓͙̫R̀͠͞D͙̫ Hahaha, nice.
ReplyDeleteSweet mother of god.....
ReplyDeleteIt is spelled Chimicherrychanga.
ReplyDeleteBy Celestia's beard, I must make some of these.
ReplyDeletenow im hungry
ReplyDelete~This is now a pinkie pie & Deadpool thread~
ReplyDeleteDeal with it
Somepony get us a recipe! I really want to make some!
ReplyDelete@Sugar Cube
ReplyDeletelearn from the master
Just throw some cherry's into it at some point
Those look amazing I want those now!
ReplyDelete@Dͪ͊ͦḮ̘ͯS̔̐̓C̹̔Ã’͓͙̫R̀͠͞D͙̫
ReplyDeleteI though all threads were Steven Magnet threads.
But hey, Im a Filly and have no idea what this is.
HEY! THERE SHOULD BE AN MLP COOKING EVENT!
ReplyDeleteThe last episode is so great it even feeds the viewers
ReplyDeletePurplePony I agree wholeheartedly with your suggestion!
ReplyDelete@Dͪ͊ͦḮ̘ͯS̔̐̓C̹̔Ã’͓͙̫R̀͠͞D͙̫
ReplyDeleteWhat about Pinkie Pool?
That first one looks fantastic.
wow great job, especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I seriously love this silly fandom. You all are awesome. :)
"You look so.. delicious." - Spike
ReplyDeleteGod DAMNIT Seth, I'm hungry already and you're not helping in the least!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me hungry.
ReplyDeleteI gotta make see if I can make this in the next few days.
ReplyDelete@Celestia
ReplyDeletePinkiepool and Deadpool shouldn't be in the same place at the same time, but neither should Pinkie pie and Deadpool... either way the poor 4th wall wouldn't be able to handle it i'm surprised the poor thing has held up for this long.
Do want
ReplyDeleteDamn that looks rather tasty.
ReplyDeletei like this.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm hungry and it's 3:18AM >:I Damn that looks delicious..
ReplyDelete...Everything went better then expected.
ReplyDeleteI guess we have some really great cooks in this fandom. If I'd tried this, it would have ended up like Sweetie Belle's toast.
Cherry Chimichangas, didn't sound bad at all when it was first mentioned in the show. I don't know why everyone is so excited.
ReplyDeleteThey are just fried burritos.
SO HUNGRY.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with My Little Pony
ReplyDeleteSometimes McDonald's has these fried cherry pies. Taste-wise, they're probably similar to what's in these photographs (although I imagine the homemade ones would taste better).
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want to go eat unhealthy deep-fried fast food, thanks.
I don't normally like Cherries, but I'd totally slam my face into this Pinkie Pie Style (and then eat it).
ReplyDelete@Kawaiipikachu
ReplyDeleteBecause Pinkie Pie mentioned it
I throw my fork at the screen but nothing happens.
ReplyDeleteI think I shouldn't do that
Is anypony else still on a derpy buzz?
ReplyDeleteI somehow gained five pounds looking at those delicious cherry beauties. Curse you, hips & thighs!
ReplyDelete@palaminopegasus
ReplyDeleteAcrtually, Pinkie Pie created it XD
the first one looks great.
ReplyDeleteI don't even LIKE cherries and I'm salivating.
ReplyDeleteI've got to go down to Traverse City and get me some REAL cherry paste.
ReplyDeleteI am so hungry seeing all these ;_;
ReplyDeleteI need a Youtube cooking and eating video stat.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting this before the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteFandom thank you for not disappointing me.
It might go better with crepes than with tortillas...
ReplyDeleteHah, I knew it'd be done. This fandom never ceases to surprise me. Well done, guys!
ReplyDeleteI often wonder, though, if the writers of the show put these original ideas ON PURPOSE just, and only just, so they see whether or not the fans actually TRY them in real life.
"Hey, let's make Applejack cook the nastiest cupcake ever. You think the fans will try that? Holy shoot, they did! Uhm..."
"Hey, let's add an old, raggy doll for Twilight. Done? Okay, let's bet on how long it takes the fans to make one."
"Hey, let's add a mix between chimichanga and cherries. Done? Great, now let's see if they try it as well! I'm not attempting eating one of those until our ginea pi--OUR DEVOTED FANS try them, I mean."
Of course, it doesn't always work...
"Hey, let's have Pinkie Pie operate a PARTY CANNON, like, it's a cannon that fires parties! Done? Okay, let's see how they work THIS one up! *time passes* Huh. Nothing yet? I guess we pushed too far..."
Awesome. Now all we need is a video tutorial... please!!!
ReplyDelete@Maximiliano
ReplyDeleteYou have a point there... A party cannon must be made!
Why do I wake up to things like this, my sixteen hour nap and Derpy is still top of the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm so hungry now.
Haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday, now to find breakfast today. My eye is so dehydrated from all the happiness.
Now the real question is: When will Deadpool make a reference to these?

ReplyDeletesorry
ReplyDelete@PurplePony Pony has now begun the conquest of cuisine! Soon all shall be Pony! >:D
ReplyDeleteThey all look so gooood.
ReplyDeleteI hate that I can't cook.
Man that was fast! Bronies really don't fool around when it comes to this show. I mean did they JUST get done watching the episode and immediately set out to make Chimicherrychongas? I'm not complaining, that is awesome. I'm just surprised how fast they move. I want one, I think I'm going to try it out too.
ReplyDeletewant.
ReplyDeleteBut what about chim cherries ?
ReplyDeleteForget these, I'm having double chocolate chip muffins in honor of post-Derpy day. :D
ReplyDelete@Mike
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure a crepe would survive being deep-fried though.
@L4R63N7
ReplyDeleteYeah, I woke up to it and now I've had my breakfast I can go back to adoring the wondrous Muffin Queen.
Good luck with figuring out what kind of cherries to use, whether or not you'd use powdered sugar after frying and how long you have to fry em' for.
These do look quite delicious, and are making me quite hungry. Better go eat ;)
ReplyDeleteWhy can't I eat these? They're inches away, but everytime I try to touch them I feel a computer screen.
ReplyDeletePinkie, you scare me with your knowledge of whether something coming from your head (of all ponies) actually would work or in the real world.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a HUGE Derpy fan (I like her well enough) but even I gave a little squeal when I heard Dash call her Derpy and when she actually started speaking. Sounds to me that her second cute quirk is the fact she has a lisp.
This is a wonderful image to wake up to. I have a feeling I'm going to be attempting to make some of these in the near future.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many people I can fool into making this without knowing where it's from.
ReplyDeleteChimmicherry
ReplyDeleteCherrychonga
Chimmicherrychonga. That IS a fun word!
I wonder if the writers have seen this, and if their reaction is "dear God, what have we done?" or "just according to keikaku..."
ReplyDelete("Keikaku" means "plan")
MOTHER OF GOD.
ReplyDeleteThat's some hangover food right there....
Hah! I should've known we wouldn't be the only ones trying this. I'll have a video of our experiment up sometime soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI can definitely predict that these are going to be a lot better tasting than baked bads, but at least 20%. I can't wait to try it.
ReplyDelete#4 here! @Arcticwlf and @MikeWe, we used crepes instead of tortilla, and it deep fried just fine. We maybe overloaded the crepe with cherrygoo, but otherwise it was so delish. The crepe didn't burn in the oil either - just got nice and crisp and flakey.
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie is proud of all you chef ponies *nods*
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculously awesome, and I expect no less from this fandom.
ReplyDeleteI already wanted to do this, but now I can almost taste the wonderful creation...
*sadface* I was going to make these. Much different than this though... because I'd been thinking of making a cinnamon sugar (something wet to bind and I don't know what, butter/margarine maybe? Egg?) topping to deep fry it in, because tortillas by themselves are kind of plain...
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious. Now I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteWhy cant we buy this in stores?
ReplyDeleteA Deep Fried Burrito filled with Cherry.
ReplyDeleteYou just know that somebody is going to make and serve these at the next brony con, right? It will be delicious and awesome. Now, if only there were a con within 500 miles of me... >_>
ReplyDeleteLmao. So, if ponies say to bake it, we'll follow through with it? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a good thing I'll be eating in a bit, or these might be torture, lol.
A quick Google search seems to suggest the idea already existed before Pinkie Pie came up with it! Clearly someone created a time machine, went forward in time and stole the idea off PP. That is the only theory I'm happy with!
ReplyDelete@Taunt
ReplyDeleteYES. YOU MUST OBEY YOUR PONY OVERLORDS. :D
oooooh! looks tasty!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so damn good! I want one!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious :D
ReplyDeleteYou missed WhiteOut's
ReplyDeleteHe had them cooked and eaten before the second episode finished: http://askwhiteoutpony.tumblr.com/post/16235535421/so-pinkie-inspired-me-and-i-made
I wants one T^T
ReplyDeletedat pic #4
ReplyDeleteLoving and tolerating the furries just got easier... which isn't to say it wasn't already... but you get the point.
I do a cooking article for my local paper and I am totally making some Chimicherrychongas.
ReplyDeleteThese... actually look pretty tasty.
ReplyDeleteJust looking at these makes me feel like I'm gonna puke. Mostly because they look so ridiculously sweet.
ReplyDeleteI guess I have something else to add onto my shopping list for brony day. Hopefully there will be a recipe out by then, I'm not the best cook.
ReplyDeleteI made the last one, they were absolutely awesome and yummy! I am making a bunch of mini ones for the Austin brony meet this coming weekend ^_^
ReplyDeleteSometimes imitating what you see on TV isn't such a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteWhich will win out: my curiosity as to how they taste or my hesitance to eat deep-fried food?
Seriously, what can MLP not do? Now we got new idea's for food, and they look fantastic!
ReplyDeletei was gonna make one but i got no cherries.
ReplyDeletemust buy cherries.
pinkie will be proud.
Buy cherries! But buy pitted cherries. If you have to pit them yourself (like we did in #4 - or are we #5? Second to last!), you'll end up with MURDER FINGERS.
ReplyDeleteWhich is fun.
Until your husband eyebrows at you for wiggling MURDER FINGERS in his face.
They look awesome! I'm going to need to make these now.
ReplyDeleteI want one!
ReplyDeleteMe 3!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard Pinkie mention these, I knew that somepony would make them and get us a recipe before the end of the day. I love this fandom.
ReplyDeleteI must have the recepies!
ReplyDeleteRecepies or didn't happen! D=
ReplyDeleteI'll tell my GF who is a Baker and LOVES Pinkypie to make them, then... I'll submit pics or didn't happen xD
WANT WANT WANT
ReplyDeleteA cherrychanga is mashed up cherries in a tortilla that's deep fried. CHERRYCHANGA. Great name, huh? OOH! But maybe I should call it a chimicherry. Ooh, that's good too. Which do you think sounds better? Cherrychanga or chimicherry? OR what if I combined them?! Chimicherrychanga! What sounds the funniest? I LIKE funny words! One of my favorite funny words is KUMQUAT! I didn't make that one up. I would work at a kumquat orchard just so I could say kumquat ALL DAY! KUMQUAT KUMQUAT KUMQUAT! AND pickle barrel! Isn't that just the funnest thing to say?! Pickle barrel, pickle barrel, pickle barrel! Say it with me! Pickle barrel, kumquat, pickle barrel, kumquat, pickle barrel kumquat, CHIMICHERRYCHANGA!
ReplyDeleteT-T) So delicious looking... Deadpool would be proud of you!
ReplyDeleteDoes nopony else here realize that a chimicherrychanga is pretty much exactly a Taco Time cherry empanada?
ReplyDeleteFairly common desert item round where I live. Still delicious, but when they popped up in the show I just thought the writers had hit a mexican restaurant recently.
ReplyDeleteSo it's more or less a deep fried crepe with a tortilla?
ReplyDeleteI would have, but the diet im on at the moment is basicly vegan.. -.-
ReplyDeletelooks like pancakes.....or Strudel......
ReplyDeleteI knew this was coming as soon as it was mentioned in the episode! *sigh* I wish I still had my deep fryer. >.>
ReplyDeleteHeh. That was fast. Cherry chima chunga!
ReplyDeleteUgh, now I got a craving for one of those :<
ReplyDeleteGot my video up! Step by step of my friend's own recipe for chimicherrychangas: http://youtu.be/ZbQb5BXN448 So delicious! /)^3^(\
ReplyDeleteWhy in the hell do you not post a fur affinity warning? i don't want to go onto that s**t.
ReplyDelete@Dusty
ReplyDeleteAh, the famous brony tolerance... You know you can't see anything "adult" on that site without being a member, right? What's the problem?
Well that certainly did not take long. I will have to try these myself.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! I gotta make some now!
ReplyDeletehaha I wonder if these will become popular like Spaghetti Tacos from iCarly :D
Now I'm really hungry for some. I think a friend of ours who was over this weekend had some because of the episode, or something very close to them anyway. Can't remember now. But they certainly look good. Especially those in the header image, dang. Nice presentation with that.
ReplyDeleteO Celestia why must you torture me with visions of... Chimicherrychangas wat is that and why does it have to torture me with how tasty it looks
ReplyDeleteI knew this would happen. And I'm happy
ReplyDeleteAre these made with tortillas?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure exactly how that would taste, especially with corn tortillas. Perhaps it would be better with flour ones, but still.
@palaminopegasus Now I have seen the episode itself, so it just took a couple of days for the iTunes version tom pop up on youtube.
ReplyDeleteI;m hungry....
ReplyDelete@ShiningStar
ReplyDeleteSome were made with tortillas, it looks like. We made ours with crepes, though: http://youtu.be/ZbQb5BXN448 :)
Will definitely keep these in mind next time get a sweet tooth. As will have to try and make them.
ReplyDelete@Dusty
You do know you can hover over most links to see where they go before clicking on them right? Also, each time EQD has linked there that I have seen, have had no issues at all with the content. Just a general rule of thumb with the internet, don't go looking for trouble on sites you are not comfortable with.
looks delicous
ReplyDeleteDiabetus.
ReplyDeleteFor real this time.
And once again, the creators of the show have inadvertently created something AWESOME.
-Delta-
I will be attempting this dish.
ReplyDeleteEven though Pinky was SERIOUSLY getting on my nerves too these did sound pretty awesome! Do want! Someone should post a "how to" recipe :D
ReplyDelete@Maximiliano
ReplyDeleteThe working party Cannon was made actually. I saw it here on EqD a day or so after that episode.
SO AMAZING >.<
ReplyDeleteI must try this sometime.
Bronies get stuff done!
ReplyDeleteand it's Delicious stuff!
You know, I have to wonder if anyone has considered of just putting together a My Little Pony cookbook. Just think of the cupcake recipes alone.
ReplyDeleteThe last one looks like a Connolie . Omnom
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteDANG, those look scrump. I needa make one. :3 LOVE the little Applejack with the last one, and the rubber band tying her mane...:3 Looks like just the type of thing she'd bake--well, ya know, if'n it had apples.
ReplyDeleteJ/k...I'm sure AJ loves fruit in general. Much like me. 8D Nature's candeh, yeh know!
chimicherry? cherrychanga? chimicherry? cherrychanga? chimicherry? cherrychanga?
ReplyDeleteSomeone should introduce this recipe to Mexicans.
ReplyDelete
