Apparently we are popping up absolutely everywhere with thanks to BroNYCon. Some positive, some negative, and a few are just small references.
I'll keep updating this post as they come in, so keep an eye on it!

Yay! The world is ours!
ReplyDeleteAnd the good just keeps on giving
ReplyDeleteI must take flying lessons in order to make it to the next one >:0
ReplyDeleteAll your pop culture are belong to us.
ReplyDeleteInch by inch we shall cover the world.
ReplyDeleteWell as they say there's no such thing as bad press.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I could use any of these articles to write about for my English class! :D
ReplyDeleteWell as they say there's no such thing as bad press.
ReplyDeleteSomepony say something positive, I had to message some thoughtful hater of all equines elsewhere and I seriously want to cry now, somepony hold me...
ReplyDelete@ftfc
ReplyDeleteI thought it was two months ago..
@ Luna
ReplyDeleteLet me throw you a party
@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteWe bronies will love you. :D
Who will take over the entire world first? China, or bronies?
ReplyDeleteWe both have spies everywhere across the world
Just once I'd like to read an article where the author doesn't treat the pony community like something that needs to be justified.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteI would hold you, but Celestia would kill me...
If there are any fellow bronies in the New-Brunswick Canada province, we would love to meet you MonctonBrony@groups.facebook.com
ReplyDelete@Dͪ͊ͦḮ̘ͯS̔̐̓C̹̔Ã’͓͙̫R̀͠͞D͙̫
ReplyDeleteWe take it over every other week!
@Princess Luna
hugs We all love you!
*sniff*:) Thanks. This guy had an argument about how we were not as good as other things and it was relatively demeaning. Before anyone asks though, I will not send them someplace horrible with many of my justified banning aliases, since that doesn't put a good image on Equestria as a whole, does it?
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteIts hard not to love ya luna.
All in all the stuff writen here was positive, and I am glad I found this fandom when I did, I think we all are :D
Resistance is futile. We shall shake mainstream society itself. >:D
ReplyDeleteLinking to a Gawker article about bronies is never a good idea.
ReplyDeleteResistance is futile, we shall dominate everything that exist. We will shake mainstream culture itself! >:D.... or not.
ReplyDelete@ Everypony
ReplyDeleteI say we make our own city where only bronies are allowed and we all work in harmony
ALL BELONG TO US!!
ReplyDeleteWe're pretty much our own culture by now, right? It would probably be possible to start our own country. Seriously, I bet if we all pitch in like 15 bucks, we could buy, like, a Pacific island. Bronesia in 2016, that's my goal.
ReplyDelete@Pinkie Pie It's called Canterlot, it's as close as Celestia could get without unbearable trouble. However it depends on what side of the 4th wall you are mentioning.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had our own forums to talk in.
ReplyDelete@DCJoeDog
ReplyDeleteIndeed
@Ponkie Pie
ReplyDeleteI call Military Genrel
We sure are gaining plenty of momentum, aren't we. Considering all that was going on during Saturday, I'm not surprised we've popped up in a few articles here and there. I really didn't see any negativity in the articles posted here, though I'm kind of wary about whatever Gawker posts about us since that article they did after Ponyarchive was shut down. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteI am talking to you when I say this, not the character who you named your account after. Haters gonna hate. Poinues gonna pwn. That's the way the world works. In all seriousness, if you love something, chances are, somebody is going to try to stop you. Look, this is an inperfect world. Ponies, bronies, haters, trolls, and civilians (non-internetters) all live in it. This is life. It isn't fair. But one thing that you can do about it is ignore the hate and embrace the love. I will leave you with this. Please remember that there are always people who will love you.
Who wants to have their names on a request to the blog ponies for a forum tab? Who wants to actually type it if anypony agrees on it?
ReplyDelete@DCJoeDog Close enough?
ReplyDelete@ Travis
ReplyDeleteI call being minister of parties and fun
@Bombedrumbum Thank you, now don't break the roles and rules and let me fix the 4th wall before a pink mistress comes shooting through the other side for what wouldn't be the first time.
ReplyDeleteTo all the bronies saying that we need our own forum, i've just gathered a bunch of brobies from here on EqD and formed BROHOOF HQ
ReplyDeleteWill definitely claw my way to the next BroNYcon, fo sho!!
ReplyDelete*bronies
ReplyDelete@naahdude
ReplyDeleteIndeed. The comments section on that article is quite, interesting to say the least. Though it was nice to see that not everybody was negative.
@ Luna
ReplyDeleteIt just happened
@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteLife is an unfair event that we as people must turn to make it our advantage, sure every now and then something or someone will come along and rip out the joy you had, making you want to just give up. Speaking with experience on this, ignore the haters, sometimes you may need to get ruff but otherwise no, feel happy about those around you.
Focus on the many good things, not the one bad
@Bombedrumbum But how...so fast? and isn't this a comment's page from a different post? that's what the title looks like. Sorry for exploding questions but please explain.
ReplyDeleteINVADE ALL THE THINGS
ReplyDeleteGawker and a lot of the commenters there are pretty negative. Though it's nice to see the more accepting commenter's there, some who are bronies themselves.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteHere's our current invaded post/chatroom/forum
In all honesty, I think that this is the largest "group" of bronies here on EqD
@ Luna
ReplyDeleteJust go to newest and scroll down and go to the last and click bla blah new horizon
@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteWow that kinda makes me a double agent then
lol Haters gonna hate and Gawkers gonna gawk.
ReplyDelete@Eversor Mundius
ReplyDeleteLolwut?
I'll ask again:
ReplyDeleteAnyone that went to BronyCon, that got good photos of the VAs among other good shots, and that are willing to put them for use on Wikipedia, please let me know.
Both the MLP article and the respective VA articles could use your photos.
All these people meeting up while i'm stuck in my dorm room here in Lincoln. The Brony population in the UK would seem to be exceptionally low. :(
ReplyDeleteI forgot who it was that said it during the VA Q&A. I think it was Nicole Oliver. But one of them said that as long as we enjoy the show, we shouldn't have to justify it to anyone else. And that's what I say to all of you. We know why we enjoy the show, and we shouldn't let the baseless rantings of the haters shake our confidence in the show and the fandom. If anything, it's the haters that are being childish and immature for jumping to conclusions about us simply because of the show and the fans it has attracted. We know the kind of people that we are and we shouldn't let ANYONE make us think otherwise.
ReplyDelete@ CityFlyer502
ReplyDeleteWell said.
I'm glad I managed to avoid the cameras so far
ReplyDelete@Pinkie Pie Thank you, and sorry for delayed response, I was downloading the 8-bit Winter Wrap-Up, their sure are some nice songs composed where you live, 8-bit just octouples the fun.
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum Right you are exploded drunkard, we do have a lot of dedicated ponies here.
@ Luna
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is drunkard it's me not Bom Bom
Interesting how the guy at the end of the last article seems to be a pre-FiM brony.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna Hug.
ReplyDelete@Pinkie Pie Not to offend or anything, I was just judging by his name, which has "rum," "bum," and "bombed" within.
ReplyDelete@Flare Yay! I'm open for free hugs anytime, I understand the photograph was creepy to some though...
ReplyDelete*randomly comes in*
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
Ingore them. They don't know anything about open mindedness and such. Just brush them off and go on with your pony buisness.
@Luna
ReplyDelete*hugs* and thank you for helping me on going to Los Angeles the other day!
@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteCANS.WMV!!!!!!
My name mispronounced!!! I have posted my username's pronounciation many times here!!
IT'S NAMED AFTER A FREAKIN' TREE
@Sunset Sprinkles Yes, not to sound sarcastic I just won't answer the inter-dimensional hate-mail. And forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm but is that a new profile picture?
ReplyDelete@Sunset You are quite welcome
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum Sorry, it's just that I don't know much about foliage.
Is it me or the fandom is spreading just like Vocaloid did and is still doing? I don't know if take over the world but we are definetly getting known by a lot of people all over it, and that's fine for me, I just hope new bronies don't misjudge anything about the show and keep the values, that the love and toleration message never fades and if this whole thing we all love has to disappear sometime, then I hope it does so in a good way, with a nice ending.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteIt's fine. Check the last comment on the first page of this post for an explanation.
Even Sunset Sprinkles has his own OC now!! Now if I can only convert my profile pic's Rarity thing into an OC of my own....
ReplyDelete@Haze Oh I love that pop group, they exist outside of Equestria?
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna You can bet they do, they are well-known by different races now, including humans, I also bet Lyra would find this to be a very interesting fact.
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteYes...is it not good? I tried to make my ponyself, Sunset Sprinkles as accurate as I imagined him to look.
I noticed at least one of those places used some of the probably less-than-stellas images they had. Go figure. lol There were some news agencies lurking around too.
ReplyDeleteI want that security shirt really bad
ReplyDelete@Tree named non-exploded most likely not a drunkard
ReplyDeleteWell that makes sense now, and if you want an OC there are a couple ground rules that assure you don't end up with a monstrosity of a pony with unfitting qualities of a Mary Sue. I almost wrote a fanfiction once, decided coming from me it would be a bit much...
@HMorris73 that was me.
ReplyDelete@Sunset You avoided what I just posted not to do, congratulations.
ReplyDelete@Haze The one who acts human? I haven't met her but I'll say something about it.
I think I saw trading cards as well
ReplyDeleteOur friendship shall bring forth the sun!
ReplyDeleteAnd these articles contain exactly and precisely why I love this community beyond anything else. Thanks to all of you, guys!
@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteIt's not that hard to make an OC.
I made mine a blank flank because I honestly havent found out what makes me special. I need to join the Crusaders.
@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, princess.
I love ya, Bronycon, but I think you don't exactly give the best impression of the community. If you want to get an impression of Bronies, lurk Ponychan for a while. Don't go to a meetup. Those are just creepy overload for outsiders.
ReplyDelete@Sunset Sprinkles
ReplyDeleteCool OC!
I'd make my own if I knew how
Yeah.....ima just do a slight change to my profile pic to make an OC. Not a Gary Stue, mind you, but a decent, good-looking OC
ReplyDelete@Travis Smith Your OC, though not a self-insert is a Gary Stu correct? You can't illustrate one of those perfectly, I've never seen it been done. You could illustrate Prince Catastrophe though.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I'm going to get off of here after checking the next post because Celestia is very mean and won't let me keep typ
@Haze: what you said earlier about the fandom's potential, albeit unlikely, death, rings true and clear. If and when we ever do lose our momentum, I certainly do hope it's in a good manner, not in the way that some fandoms have simply imploded.
ReplyDelete@Travis
ReplyDeleteThanks! ^^ just go to the Pony Creator on DA.
@Sunset Sparkles WILL DO
ReplyDelete@Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteI could try buy I need to find an Alicorn shot then, I'll check the dA creator Sunset mentioned.
With all this talk of OC's, just reading through the comments, I'm thinking I may need to update my picture now...
ReplyDeleteI did read Gawker's article last night (I'm a rabid follower of Jalopnik --Gawker's sister blog-- and the headline on Gawker made me go into it).
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of biased comments on both parts. Non-bronies reacting as supposed (scratching their heads, trolling, hating, whining) and while some bronies kept their heads cool, some others took the offense and gave trolls some meal to eat.
I'm gonna tell you something: we bronies are following a self-imposed mythos and philosophy based on love and tolerance. When you counter-attack trolls, you aren't loving and tolerating the manure out of them.
Let the parasprites try to find something to munch. When they don't find anything to satisfy their hunger, they just go away. Keep it civil and calm.
P.S. We aren't the only fanbase being mocked by Internet trolls. Trekkies are maybe the most stigmatized, so we're kinda fortunate to love small colored little horsies.
The above two comments are true.
ReplyDelete@DELC17
ReplyDeleteReally? Well then I have to ask, how did you feel when the new show came out and the number of older MLP fans exploded the way it did?
Well we already have Equestria I guess setting up camp here on Earth will be somewhat of a small vacation
ReplyDelete@the invincible I do agree, I'll send you all my money!
ReplyDeleteI'm checking out what Sunset said.
ReplyDeleteEhem* Atention fellow bronies of ohio who couldnt go! Next time lets orginize some sort of hardcore carpooling and all drive together! That is all.
ReplyDelete@HMorris73 I felt happy, since ponies were becoming more accepted by guys and I felt like less of an outcast
ReplyDelete@Haze
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what I'm afraid of too. Now of course we don't have nearly as many people in our fandom when compared to Vocaloid, the idea of growing too quickly and new bronies not holding to the values that we do now is possible. It is those values that keep the fandom in check. One reason I left Vocaloid was because it was quickly inflating and growing out of control, and no one cared about how the actual program was being represented within the fanbase. There were flame wars all over the place about Vocaloid A being better than Vocaloid B or why one fan character was better than another. The Western users of the music program would struggle to be noticed while prepubescent fans would argue amongst themselves over trivial matters. While MLP: FIM is starting to be noticed a bit more, as long we can stick to love and tolerance the fandom can grow without collapsing in on itself.
One of the main reasons I love this fandom is because we're all friends here. No one is against another and differentiating opinions are met with acceptance rather than hate. Hopefully, over time, the Brony community can grow into something far greater than it is now and set an example for other fandoms.
@DELC17
ReplyDeleteI see, that's good to hear. ^_^
@Victory Star
ReplyDeleteFive of us drove there in one car from Columbus. Ten hours each way, so it wasn't too bad of a trip either.
Different people, different opinions.
ReplyDeleteI see nothing wrong here.
I do agree that ponychan is swimming in it's own filth and waste...
@Steve Jobs like a bath? Or a melting pot?
ReplyDelete@Octavia sadly, nobrony is near where I live, and none that would want to carpool with me for that long.
@UltraChao77 so very true.
@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteAs in human waste, turd, shit.
That place is the epitome of AIDS.
It's also the first time I agree on /Co/ with something.
@ octavia
ReplyDelete:D awesome! Now if we find more and wait...everything will be... PINKIE KEEN.
AWWW YEEAAAAHHHH.
@Steve Jobs
ReplyDeleteOkay
@Victory Star
ReplyDeletelol Well, you know about our Ohio Brony community, right?
@Steve Jobs
ReplyDeleteholy shit! steve jobs? ponys brought you back to life...YAY. step 1 my fellow ponys is complet, onwords to step 2, take over the news.
A few short video interviews:
ReplyDeletehttp://timetoplaymag.com/playforum/2012/01/my-trot-through-bronycon/
Writeups, audio retrospective, convention maps etc:
http://mlponies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=947
So far those two articles (and the small Kotaku refference on their yearly schedule) don't seem negative at all. It's a fairly objective view of the event, and was a lot of fun to read.
ReplyDeleteAdding this to my tags so I can keep track of it!
We shall fill the world with Ponies!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy no cons in Scandinavia?
ReplyDelete
