It looks like they are finally making their way over to the USA after almost a half a year of waiting. These specific ones were located at a Wal-Mart in San Antonio, TX for two bucks a pop.
From the looks of it, these are the first wave set, so you can use this post to pick the one you want (Assuming the packaging hasn't changed at all)
So go check your Wal-Marts!

This makes me a happy pony. It's about time those make their way to the US.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY
ReplyDeleteNightmare Moon is happy...RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!
ReplyDeleteMight have to do a little traveling to get to the nearest Walmart, but OK.

DeleteFINALLY SHEESH.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! About time! Now to just get the later waves, and Big Macintosh!
ReplyDeleteBTW, what's going on with the comment section?
Is this me or the comments are completely *yay*ed?
ReplyDeleteYay! We are happy! blind bags we can get a hold of!
ReplyDeleteDid posts get changed again or is our comp freaking out?
We like branching replies!
DeleteWe would like pages of 200 comments to return!
Are these in Britain yet? Because I have a serious need and money left over from xmas
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple moulded ones in tesco, packs of 4 (Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash) with individual ones of those 4 and Applejack... No fluttershy :(
DeleteAt least not in the store I tried. I ended up buying a rainbow dash and modifying it myself :D
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteNow they gotta bring them to Europe.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Now, I can make the pony army I've always dreamed of for Warhammer 40k without having to go to Toys R Us!
ReplyDeleteHasbro, grab my money! *grab* PONIES!
ReplyDeleteI can buy about 15 since I have $30!
ReplyDelete:awwwwwyeah:
Well, we do have that one set of Blind Bag pony toys for $25 here of course. But the individual ones are cool. Cheap too.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, Maquabra, it's not just you. lol
>Twenty-something year-old male buys tomatoes, peppers, sour cream, and nine My Little Pony dolls.
ReplyDeleteCashier: "Nothing suspicious here."
If they are in the US it's just a matter of time till they come to Mexico now i'll just wait
ReplyDeleteI know where I'm going after work! Between ponies and my crippling Transformers addiction I'm not ever going to be able to save money.
ReplyDeletetook long enough
ReplyDeleteYeah, no idea how they decided to do the merchandising on these.
DeleteThere goes all my money.
ReplyDeleteCOME TO OHIO TINY PONIES
I live in Texas!
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaaaand I'm off to Wal mart! Peace!
Yes! Finally, US Bronies can get individual blind bags! I bought the set from Toys R Us about a month ago, but that included only the Mane 6 and six other random ones that aren't available in the blind bags.
ReplyDeleteI know what you're talking about, I have that one as well, but I'm glad there are others that I don't have that I can now get.
DeleteMakes me hopeful that they'll bring over the newer ones eventually as well.
Sadly though, it still looks like Fluttershy is still molded after the Rainbow Dash figure.
Finally! Now it should be just a matter of time till they Migrate north to Canada!
ReplyDeleteDat receipt. Tomatoes... Cilantro... Jalepeños... PONY PONY PONY PONY PONY PONY PONY PONY PONY... Sour creme...
ReplyDeleteOh Woona in a washbucket...
DeleteI LOLed so hard at this reciept!
Two bucks each? Damn, something tells me they're going to fly off the shelves, those crystal and metallic ponies, so good.
ReplyDeleteWith some luck, maybe Canada will get some love too. If anything, maybe we'll see more of these on sites like Amazon and Ebay.
Flutteryay! I can't wait to see them here in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSS! Finally! Must go to Walmart NOW!
ReplyDeleteSan Antonio? I'm going to Walmart :D
ReplyDeleteYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's about time. New look to the responses again, I see... now with branching replies. The board is full of change now that's it's flush with 100 million hits.
ReplyDeleteJust double checking... these are only from the first wave, right? Not the batch with Big Mac and Berry Punch and Carrot Top and such... Were those later ones also identifiable from a code on the outside of the packaging?
DeleteBlogger decided to update it right after I did mine... Hopefully I can get everything back to normal somehow.
DeleteYes, from what the article said, these are the first wave, but hopefully with this will come the later waves. I hope anyways.
Delete1: but I likes it this way Sethisto
Delete2: Aw... first wave problems...
SHOPPING SPREE'S ON, EVERYPONY!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know if those will be in Canadian Walmarts? I want some too. D:
ReplyDeleteFINALLY!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust in time for my tax refund! Hasbro, you can has all my money.
ReplyDeleteWow, sucks to be my friend. He bought them all from over here in New Zealand and had them shipped (no pun intended) to America.
ReplyDeleteTime to spend the bits!
ReplyDelete*Works at Wal-Mart*
ReplyDeleteI patrol the toy aisles everyday (wrestling toys and Ponies alike) and now I have even more to be on the lookout before. I am so friggin' excite.
mfw I live across the street from Wal-mart.
ReplyDeletemfw I don't have a car and it's raining like a mofo outside.
mfw I don't have an umbrella.
BUCK YOU, MOTHER NATURE!
Find a coat and hold it over your head! You must get the pony swag! IT CALLS TO THEE!
DeleteHere
DeleteYou
Go!
remember: everything can be solved with pinkie!
So how does this work? You buy a bag and you don't know witch pony you got until you open it? If that's how it works, then thats pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI foresee a trip to Wal-Mart in my future.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally buying pony figures.
ReplyDeleteWoot ponies now in Wal-mart now I don't have to make odd excuses to go to Toys R Us
ReplyDeleteYESSS!! mostly show-realistic ponies. Time to get me some merch. But things get to Corvallis awfully slow. Maybe a Portland walmart will get them soon...
ReplyDeleteI'll probably get some, since I have 100 dollars in uncashed Christmas checks...
ReplyDeleteHmm, junk food or ponies? Not even a choice. PONIES HERE I COME..I mean...if you don't mind...
ReplyDeleteI've never felt more motivated to buy pony toys. This is actually within my grasp!
ReplyDeleteBrb, going to Walk Mart guys
ReplyDeleteAbout time. I'm gonna make a walmart run tonight!
ReplyDeleteBring them over to New Jersey! This brony demands it!!
ReplyDeleteNow we need those in Canada. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, they've managed to make it across the pond to the US, but they haven't made it across the stream to the UK :/
ReplyDeleteWhere am I? I want me! Unless they have inaccurately portrayed me, in which case I want it repainted or put out of my sight...depends! Hold on a second before I leave for not even I know how long, what happened to the comments? They have changed yet again.
ReplyDeleteNow if only these were in Northern California...
ReplyDeleteSan Antonio you say? That Wal-Mart is only about 10 minutes from my house. *gets in car and drives off*
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES!!!
ReplyDeleteI WILL PURCHASE AS SOON AS ABLE
...which is unfortunately two weekends from now... -_-
Just this once, fml. Darn midterms.
@Sparky Luck Your friend's situation is unfortunate, and I read your profile so please, if you ever visit Equestria, just don't ever role play as me here, you could be arrested without my intervention...
ReplyDeleteI actually meant to say 3 hours ahead of the clock here, I'm leaving for a bit now.
ReplyDeleteWait, this is in San Antonio?
ReplyDeleteYes!
San Antonio...awesome....AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteFirst wave blindbags? Sweet, we don't have these anymore over here in germany. I'm still missing Glittering Pinkie Pie and Glittering Rainbow Dash (also normal Rainbow Dash, but we have those around here anyway). It'd be awesome if an amerifriend would want to trade one or both of those for some of my wave 2 blindbags.
ReplyDelete@NDupree93
ReplyDeleteGrabs NDupreee93 with hooves and shakes brony...
BUCK MOTHER NATURE!!!
Run across the street and FLAUNT dat wet mane for PONI!!! RUUUUUUUUN!!!
LOLOLOL!!! /)^O^(\
I want that Pinkie Pie. WHEN THEY GONNA COME UP NORTH TO GOOD OL CANADA?
ReplyDelete...EH?
Well, i'll at least get Roseluck, if it's the old set.
ReplyDeleteI live in Portugal and still it hasn´t reach here. Oh, well you can say "It finally arrived"
ReplyDeletehaha were they making salsa?
ReplyDeleteyummm salsa and ponies, best combo ever!
Time to use my wal-mart employee discount card for something AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteAww... Nesting comments, and the general post box not to mention NUTHIN' SMALL, have disappeared for me now.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, Blind Bag ponies have appeared ON THE DAY that we hit 100000000.
☾ OH MOST WONDERFUL OF ☽... Err... I mean Oh most wonderful of nights!
damn, i was just at walmart :/ wish i had seen this earlier.
ReplyDeleteI hope they've hit Washington also. I need my Rainbow Dash figure.
ReplyDelete@richfiles
ReplyDeleteYeah that system is gone (let's call it the blogblog system).
I'm glad because it wasn't worth the trouble of the incredibly slow loading time and another site to allow scripting for.
If you want to add some ghetto nested replies then check out knighty's Equestria Daily Greasemonkey Helper.
It works with normal Greasemonkey in Firefox, the half Greasemonkey implementation in Chrome, and the ghetto Greasemonkey addon in Safari. Not sure if it works with Opera.
It adds many features which make comments easier to use. One of them shows replies to a comment when you hover over a reply link next to the parent comment. It also helps a lot with Drawfriends.
@Sethisto
ReplyDeleteI FREAKING LOVED THAT STORY!!!!
So...
ReplyDeleteONE QUESTION!
Were these located with the rest of the pony toys, on a standee, on an aisle cap/end, or were they located entirely separately, in the section often kept close to the registers, that feature all the trading cards and bling bag style collectibles of other brands?
This was never brought up.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteOne guy over on ponychan said they were with the pony stuff.
I'm gonna look for these over the week end!! >:3
ReplyDeleteI was heading to Wal-Mart this weekend to grab a new bag, might have to pick one or two of these up. Not sure how I'll justify it to my dad, but I'll think of something ;).
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'll have to make a stop next to Wal-Mart after class tomorrow.
ReplyDelete@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteSite slowdown???
Really?
I am THE EXPERT on site slowdown! My 2004, Apple Power Mac G5 is around 8 years old now, can't even run the latest OS, Flash, or Firefox, and is an absolute boar to use...
And I never noticed any significantly changed load time in the comments section... Nothing that put me off anyway?
I'm usually the first to whine... Heck, I once whined to Seth about embedding youtube videos without direct links. I block flash from preloading, so the embeds don't load, but without link... well... I still have to load them. I don't even bother to watch most vids on youtube. I just dump the links into my prefered download tool, and bring them local to my hard drive. If I like, I load the youtube page (flash still off) and click like and or fav.
And MY SLOW derp infested computer didn't give me any trouble with the new commenting, other than an inability to "load more comments"
I'll take that nested thing in a HEARTBEAT, if they return pages to >200 comments pages!
That was a thing of beauty!
Okay, first Fluttershy reaction.
ReplyDeleteyay.
Now M. Bison.
YES!!! YES!!!!!
YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteAw man, I'd be excited for this if it wasn't Wal-Mart.
ReplyDeleteHopefully other stores will be getting them.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteGot you beat, I still have a 1998 G3 imac on OS9. I love that old gal. OSX just isn't as good. Before I got my laptop I put that baby next to my sofa and used it as a really ghetto laptop by putting the keyboard on my lap.
Must have been buggy then, I can believe that different systems would experience different load times. For mine it added at least 3 seconds before the page was fully responsive and a further 2 or 3 seconds before the page was finished loading and could be refreshed instead of stopped.
It's gone now anyway so we have the original comment system back, and knighty's greasemonkey script works again :D yay.
Lol @ your way of watching YouTube embeds. It hurts on mobile too. No matter how much people talk about flash on mobile, youtube embeds on a mobile phone are slow and destroy your data allowance.
I think Seth should always put direct youtube links in posts with videos. Maybe at the start when listing them, make the list items links. Wouldn't require any complex html.
First the USA.
ReplyDeleteThen THE WORLD :D
Y U NO sell in CT :U
ReplyDeleteFinally, finally, finally. I got the 4 and 12 packs already, but that 4-pack could use a Fluttershy and Applejack to round 'em out. Guess I know where I'm going soon.
ReplyDelete@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteI kneel before my king of slow! Hail ye, king of the almighty OS 9!
It's sad... If OS X had all the fancy effects stripped away, it'd be SO MUCH FASTER! I try to go through new releases of OS X and disable things like shadow effects and transparencies... But I haven't done that in ages, since I've not been able to update in ages. PowerPC was left in the dust.
I still got one of those old Bondi Blue bubbles. In a corner!
Also...
\Ow0/ FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU
I forgot to plug my car in!!! Now it'll take longer to run to Walmart! (here in Minnestota, plugging your car in doesn't refer to hybrids or EVs... It refers to plugging in the block heater, to warm up the engine from this frigid flank winter, enough to even get the poor hunk of iron to have a chance to start).
PS... I hate winter.
Random? Reminds me of the days when I collected Pokeman cards. There's no super, rare, holographic Pinkie Pie is there?
ReplyDeleteOh man, this might awaken a dark side of me.
I also noticed on the receipt: Tomatoes, cilantro and sour cream... If somepony is making tacos, you should give me some. ^_^
ReplyDeleteANYWAY. I'll definitely take a look in the Walmart near me tomorrow. Although most stores in Florida are usually pretty sparse.
I will have to check out my local Walmart when I get a chance.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Ysalamiri
ReplyDeleteSorry, USA was first blocked by Central Europe... They got Blind Bags first.
Wow... just like on EqD
Awesome, now those awesome fillies just need to make their way to Australia. It isn't fun being stuck with first/second generation ponies.
ReplyDelete@PinkiePi
ReplyDeleteThere's a clear sparkly Pinkie Pie!
The sad thing is I'm pretty sure these are going to be sold out constantly because of us. For 2 dollars a piece, who is going to buy one? Particularly the mane 6 are going to be always gone.
ReplyDeleteAt least, for a while.
YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteBison.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteYou don't update macs, you just buy a new mac :P
If you're butthurt about PPC being left behind by x86, then some poetic justice might be coming soon. With windoze 8 being developed for ARM, x86 might be getting some pain. I think a possible step could be x86/x64 being just for gaming rigs, and most consumer things being ARM.
I love winter.
Well, seeming this is in Texas, probably not a good idea to get caught buying things like this in public (or Walmart- it's where all the rednecks there go) because the religious/right-wing propaganda there is extremely strong and abundant. Anyway, next time I go to Walmart, I'll be sure to pack an extra 50$ to go buy the new products. I'm quite excited, actually.
ReplyDeleteA little out of charactrr moment for me, but honestly, who cares what the crazy people think?
Delete@hyreia
ReplyDeleteThe mane 6 are EASY to find. just order the Toys R Us Pony collector set. It has the Mane 6, 6 more recolors, and I've bought it for $25 before, so if you're lucky, about the same price as blind bags (though usually it's $30).
I have like 3-4 COPIES of the Mane 6 already. it's the alts I'm gonna be interested in personally... Though you can never have to many Pinkie Pies to cut in half, glue to oval shaped refrigerator magnets, and then put blue and orange rings around the borders of the ovals... Portal Pinkies are best Pinkies!
my god i live two hours from San Antonio. i hope these are in laredo because im like two hours away from it
ReplyDeleteWOOOO!!
ReplyDeleteWill scavenge around Walmart
damn it and in Australia they are like $4 each and there isn't enough of them in stock at my local Toys R Us store
ReplyDeleteI love how he bought all the ingredients for salsa as well
ReplyDeleteWait, I'm looking at the original post and although we know there is a Lyra (or Heartstrings) BB pony where is she on the identification? Does this mean they stopped shipping her or something?
ReplyDeleteI just want my Lyra, or my Twilight, that's all I ask.
sweet! now I can make my space mareine army. Lets see pegasus jumppacks, earth pony tactical marines, unicorns for characters, oh and sparkly and clear ponies for special weapons.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to find them on the Walmart website, anyone else have this issue?
ReplyDeleteJust in the off-chance anybody was intending to check around places, neither of the Walmarts in Lawrence, KS have them.
ReplyDelete@Vurtax Lyra (Heartstrings) is part of the third wave of blind bags. This is the first wave. Looks like we'll have to wait a while longer to get her in the US).
ReplyDelete@Salculd
ReplyDeleteThe ones I checked in Kansas City didn't have them either. In fact it looks like most of their Hasbro stock has been cleared out.
just went to my local wal-mart in middle of nowhere arkansas and they weren't there gonna be checking nearby towns later cause i want all of the mane six
ReplyDelete@archiveit Well darn, Good to know though when she'll be coming. I love Canon Lyra (Heartstrings) yet deeply DEEPLY despise Fanon Lyra.
ReplyDeleteits time to buld my pony army to wallmart!
ReplyDeleteHeya, I'm from Lawrence, KS too.... confirmed also that there are no ponies. I called Walmarts from Olathe and Topeka, they don't have em' either. Let's give it a week.
ReplyDeleteBut dun dun dun, I have pony merch competition in Lawrence!
Huzzah! I have some of those figures!
ReplyDeletehttp://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/384378_167057866735075_100002925879416_273626_1343252402_n.jpg
Are there... stallions yet? Cause I just gotta catch em all.
ReplyDeleteAAAAWWWWWWW YEA! Its time to clear the shelve of the Wal-Marts.
ReplyDeleteDoes anypony know if they've been spotted in or around Austin? Tis where I live.
ReplyDeleteAnd where In Wal-Mart would these be located? In the regular toy isle?
The third wave hasn't even appeared in Europe, they have only been seen on Taobao. We are going to have a long wait.
ReplyDeleteOH WAIT, SAN ANTONIO? Wow, that's close to where I live. #OccupyTexas
ReplyDeleteI Want Ponies, I Bucking Hate walmart
ReplyDeleteMan, it's about time. I'll have to check out the walmarts around here for them.
ReplyDeleteAnyone seen these in Alabama?
ReplyDeleteToo bad I already had both wave 1 and wave 2 imported into the US from Germany. :D
ReplyDeleteAlas no ponies in my local Walmart yet...hunted all over for them =(
ReplyDeleteWill have to keep checking back, there are some ponies i must have from that set xD
well i went to my local walmart and took a good look around for them, i guess that they dont have em yet.... i walked out sad.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Blind Bag will be available in Denmark especially the Applejack Blind Bag.
ReplyDelete@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteSays you... Had my old G3 over clocked 225% when I still had it! rechipped and bus/processor ratios all tricked out.
My G5 may not be impressive in the processing front, but It does wield 18 TB of storage, including more internal bays than it shipped with, plus a second TOWER of SATA interface drives, and 3 monitors (1 HD, 2 >HD)
You can buck the Apple system with some well contrived effort...
You should have seen my old Color Classic... G3 processor, TV tuner, DVD with hardware rendering... in a Color Classic housing! LOL!!!
My 20th Anniversary Mac had SSD before it ever became common (thanks to a dual slot IDE to compact flash adaptor).
At least those last two machines still run Mac OS 9! :D
Macs CAN be upgraded, if you are willing to work for it...
The greatest loss though, in my transition to Mac OS X... The loss of ResEdit... I miss that program.
Well... Enough about Macs being stretched farther than Jake from Adventure Time in the episode where they are trying to find that psychic war elephant thing...
MY WALMART HAD NO BLIND BAG PONIES!!!
--Rarity WAH!!!--
In fact... they very nearly had next to no ponies. The shelves are looking very bare. Just like Target looked 2 days before they got the new Celestia toy, the CMC, Fashion RD and FS, and the train.
Cross your fingers... I live in MN, and stuff tends to trickle here slower than the "big" states. I'm hoping this is a good sign they will soon be appearing.
I've also noticed a number of new blind bag displays for other brands. Marvel, Halo, Lego, and others. I certainly hope that this marks a trend of stores showing interest in these types of displays here in the US. If these sell well, it means it will be more and more likely for us to receive the additional waves of blind bags.
I silently mourn the dude that paid $205 for Fluttershy last year...
...
...
...
May your wallet rest in peace, Amen.
@richfiles
ReplyDeletelol, I was joking, but I liked your story.
18TB is a lot of pr0n.
If we had a Wal-Mart, then I'd be happier. It's still pretty cool though.
ReplyDeletewell i found em... but i didnt know about their identifiability. so i got 2 re-colored ones. its cool, i can always go back out and pick up a few more!
ReplyDelete@MuffinN~, @DaOsoMan
ReplyDeleteWhere did y'all find your ponies?
Checked both Walmarts in the Woodlands (TX) today, no bags. :(
ReplyDeleteI wanna know what SECTION of the walmart these were found in?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could buy these without going to Walmart, but sacrifices must be made for pony. :]
ReplyDeleteI have my eye on the glittering Pinkie Pie and Twilight. <3
@jodyjm13 they were right next to the ponies regular toys.
ReplyDeletemy wall-mart has forsaken me they don't have them and i checked 3 different stores living New Mexico sucks
ReplyDelete@DaOsoMan
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reply!
Checked every Walmart in a thirty mile radius, no blind bags, going four towns over tomorrow to my old town, that Walmart has never let me down! Must have ponies!!!
ReplyDeletedid anypony spot them in Wisconsin? c:
ReplyDeletei havnt actually gone to walmart yet but i dont want to drive all the way there just to come home empty handed.
I know that feeling LOL. No ponies after four stores makes me a sad brony
Delete@Sketchyan the question is where in wisconson. i live in chicago. there is actualy no walmarts in the city limits, but there is one just outside the limits right near my house on the south side. when i found out, i went there but they didnt have them displayed, then i went back today. they had new stuff displayed and i found em.
ReplyDeleteA lot of times, some regions get ponies one week, and other regions get them a week or two or three later. Wal-Mart is kinda casual that way, at least with toys. (Probably because each store has the power to decide to order more or less of certain things, and probably because of how the WM truck delivery system works.)
ReplyDeleteGiven the bad road conditions in some parts of the US, we may have to be patient.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too. There's been an increase of blind bag toys all over the place.
All I have to say to this is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J6-3l3hCm0
Now to storm my local Walmart in search of them, if only it wasn't so out of my way.
inb4 this entire thing is a cleverly devised troll and everyone is wasting their gas for nothing.
ReplyDeleteI live in LA and we don't have them.
We get stocked more frequently than heartland america.
WE'VE BEEN TROLLED
@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteLOL! I do video, so drive space is my friend. HD rings in at 5 GB an hour.
"Pr0n? What even is that? Ah don't know what y'all er even talkin' bout! Clearly Ah've never heard of non've this pr0n before! Honest!"
http://mylittlefacewhen.com/f/835/
The previous statement has been been given the following rating.
http://mylittlefacewhen.com/f/1526/
I kid, I kid. I've always been a media collector. When i was young, I had 2 VCRs, and boxes of tapes. I'm just glad I can save the stuff I record in much less space now, and much easier! I have a quarter TB of MP3s too. Back in the day a local radio station did an "A-Z music week" (which was WAY longer than a week). They pretty much played their entire library. I had a pair of VCRs alternating recording to capture the entire play through. I had started building a goofy "boom box" made with a VCR tape deck with heads from an 8 track player. The 8 track head allowed for 4 "programs". If you had a 6 hour VHS tape, the thing would store 24 hours of stereo music on one tape... And then I discovered micro cassettes, and then shortly after, MP3s.
I was, and still am, such a nerd...
And that's why Twilight an Luna chill on the end table at the head of my bed! :D
Gonna have to check Walmart again tomorrow, to see if they filled any of those empty pony shelves yet.
@moopMASTER 2000
ReplyDeleteLE GASP!!! <--(That's fancy for "GASP")
BP must be behind it!
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteI'm all too familiar with recording in HD, even with fraps' compression the videos take up lots of space. At least the game I made replays for (fleetops) doesn't tend to last more than an hour or two.
I'm different with my music, I like to listen to most of my library, so I only keep the songs I actually think I'll listen to again, hence I have under 4 GB of music. I also don't have audiophile ears, so I use a lower bitrate of mp3 than most.
I've never come accross an album and kept every single song from it. If I get 4 songs from an album then it's great IMO.
I still got my VHS tapes, don't have my VCR plugged in so no real point. I just don't feel good chucking stuff that cost money. I chucked some old software I don't use anymore yesterday. The CD version of Britannica 2006 and a crappy audio editor/cleaner.
I don't have any pony merch yet, if I did buy any, it would probably need to be a show accurate FS. I don't have a lot of masculinity left, but I'd be willing to sacrifice it for a show accurate FS.
Checked both Wal-Marts in Virginia, Nothing yet :(
ReplyDeleteTO THE WALMARTS! o_o YAAAY!
ReplyDeleteChecked my nearest Walmart in Georgia. NOTHING!...yet.
ReplyDelete@DaOsoMan
ReplyDeleteyes i live in southren Wisconsin right by Chicago. Prefect thank you! I will go on my quest for ponies tomorrow!
@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteI've only found a few CDs that I love every track (or at least almost every track) of.
Natalie Imruglia
. Left of the Middle
. White Lilies Island
Gigi D'Agastino
. L'Amour Toujour (like all but a song or two from disc 1, Disc 2 is Meh.)
. L'Amour Toujour II (EVERY SINGLE SONG, on BOTH CDS. EVERY SONG!)
Pink Floyd
. Dark Side of the Moon
. The Wall
Sound track to .Hack/Sign
Sound track to both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas
My sound system is a Sony 7.1 receiver with 8 Bose bookshelf speakers, with optical audio from my computer. I like me my high bitrates. :D
I've only ever splurged once for audio, and that was it. Before that it was either computer speakers, or the mono out on my old Commodore 1701 monitor.
--
Well, stopped in my local southern MN Walmart again. Still nearly empty pony shelves, and still no blind bags. Shall check again tomorrow.
Persistence shall pay off.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteThe closest I've ever come to an album like that is James Darren's This One's From the Heart.
I use a gaming headset (Creative Fatality) that cost a score.
The Wal-Mart in Wilkesboro, North Carolina has them.
ReplyDelete@Present Perfect I second this! Come on Ohio Wal-Marts, give me ponies!
ReplyDeleteThey've also been spotted in Dayton, OH, and today my very lucky friend found some in a Walmart in Seattle, WA. Looks like I'm going to be checking my walmart every day.. :P
ReplyDeleteIf you are in New Philadelphia, OH, they are available. I can't say for certain if you can get the ones you want, as I might have taken the last one of the type, but there are plenty left.
ReplyDeleteI rung up my local Walmart here in the sophisticated town of Mountain Home, AR (yeah right), run the UPC code found on that Walmart receipt some fellow brony provided here on EqD, and they said they had some in stock. So I headed over there roughly thirty minutes later to see if I could find them (and to run another errand), but had no luck. I then asked for help, and got someone who works in the toy section to help me look. She ran the UPC code on her portable scanner, and though it recognised the code as belonging to the blindbags, it said there were none in stock.
ReplyDeleteWell, you can't say I didn't try. I might call the shop in Flippin to see if I have any luck there, but since that Walmart is smaller, I'm pretty doubtful I'll have any leads.
Still, it's weird that on the phone they found the toys on their system and said they had some in stock, and later I was told there was none. Oh well, computer derp I guess... /pinkieshrug
tl;dr
Baxter County of Arkansas has no blindbag ponies, I searched high and low, searched high... and low.
Blind bags have arrived to western Wisconsin! Righteous!
ReplyDeleteFound more in Texas in the Plano area. Only picked up two since I just did car repairs, but if I have any money left over after the next paycheck even more ponies I shall buy!
ReplyDeleteMan...
ReplyDeleteI was going to travel to out of town today to extend my search for blind bags...
I stopped to eat, and then decided to hit the library before heading out of town. My tie rod broke just as I left the library parking lot... VERY happy it broke there and not on the highway! /)O_O(\
Now I can't go driving to find blind bags... but I'm also not dead, which turns out is pretty nifty! :)
I'll have to wait for the car to get repaired now before I have new ponies. T_T
Oh well. My day could have been a LOT worse.
Also...
Anyone who bought the blind bags in the US still have your receipt, and know what the SKU for the blind bags would happen to be.
That number would make it possible to call stores and ask if they have the item in stock.
@Sothalic I just found some of these in Maine, and they have distribution information for Canada on the back. It shouldn't be much longer! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to go searching for these this week. It seems like people have been finding them around Illinois/Wisconsin, getting my hopes up.
ReplyDeleteI found a few at my Wal-Mart here in VA, once, about a week ago but I haven't seen them since. Come on Wal-Mart just put the bloody things online so I can buy them in bulk!
ReplyDelete@Archimer
ReplyDeleteWhat product number shows on the receipt, assuming you bought some?
If someone will post the SKU number, then we can at least call our local Walmarts and have them do stock checks, instead of wasting fuel.
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteFACEHOOF THROUGH MY CRANIUM
Thanks for the person who pointed out that the reciept was posted as an image. My session saver places me at the last comment I left, so I honestly didn't even realize that receipt was pictured...
I feel like such a pony's flank for derping so hard.
There are not enough facehooves in all of Equestria to account for my level of derp.
derp derp, I'm a derp
yay woo hoo
ReplyDelete+24 Blind Bag Get
The Walmart of New Ulm, MN must have got these sometime between yesterday and today, cause I went in Monday evening, and they did not have them. I call today, and now they do have them...
Then i showed up, got their ONE still full retail box of 24, and now they are back to having none.
That's OK... If corporate sees that they sold 100% of the new product in less than 36 hours of it hitting the floor, they should be smart enough to know to restock.
yay!
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteYou must have got some strange looks when cleaning out his entire box of merch.
Oh well, selling them all is good for the shop too.
Aren't you worried you might have got a duplicate in your box of 24?
Or is it the case that BLINDBAGS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY?
@Sgt Byrd
ReplyDeleteI can vouch for the fact that the retail box:
1: Contains 24 individual Blind Bags.
2: Each blindbag has an embossed number stamped behind the flap right of the display peg hangar hole.
3: each retail box contains bags numbered 1-24, with no repeats.
4: I've gotten to #12 so far, and it so far, matches the Wave 1 charts perfectly.
Can't say i really got any looks. I think people assume you're buying them for gifts or something. Now... If I'd have gone in, coat unzipped, wearing my 20% cooler shirt...
Then I'd get looks! :D
LOL, Took the whole display stand when I rang up my purchase too! The retail box is actually quite cool. The top flap double folds and folds in behind the product, to form a very nice display box.
ReplyDeleteEach retail box they get doubles as it's own stand, so it's totally cool to take it if you grab the last one! :D
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Maybe you can store your complete season DVDs/BDs in the box if they ever get released.
Seems kinda silly that they put numbers on the blind bags. They had to know that even a dedicated child could figure out a simple system like that.
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. Three walmarts have the tags for the ponies but no ponies...yet. Tag reads as MLP Kiosk. I'm going to call tomorow to see if they have it in stock tomorow! I'm so psyched!
ReplyDeleteSku# 653 569 63247
ReplyDeleteI've looked at all the info I know about the miniature size pony figures, and have assembled it here, for those who just "Gotta catch 'em all". :D
ReplyDeleteThe Toys R Us 12 piece "Pony Collection Set" is NOT part of the Wave 1 Blind Bags, or the wave 2, or even the Wave 3. They truly do feature 6 unique ponies not available else where, as far as I've ever seen.
I have the TRU 12 piece set, and today, I got a complete retail box of all 24 Wave 1 Blind Bag ponies.
If you are a completionist, you will want to find ALL THREE of the waves AND the TRU exclusive. For reference, the TRU set includes:
Mane 6
Gardenia Glow (Rarity Mold)
Sweet Song (FS/RD)
Skywishes (FS/RD)
Peachy Pie (PP)
Coconut Cream (AJ)
Beachberry (TS)
I repeat... These are NOT included in the Wave 1, Wave 2, or Wave 3.
So far, there appear to be a grand total of 66 UNIQUE Blind Bag ponies in existence.
06 x Mane 6 (Repeated in EVERY set or wave)
47 x Unique recolors (Mares)
04 x Unique recolors (Stallions)
06 x Special Edition Mane 6 (Glitter)
03 x Special Edition Mane 6 (Glow)
The Mane 6 get repeated for every Wave of the Blind Bags, so I only included them once in the count. Total Number of Blind Bag/Set ponies is 84, if you count repeats.
Given the above counts, I would expect Hasbro to eventually release at least, a minimum of one more set or wave in this scale. The reason, I suspect, is simply to finish the "glow in the dark" variant of the mane 6, which is not yet complete.
ReplyDeleteOf course... Hasbro is MORE than welcome to release as many of these as they like, As long as they include more background ponies, and more stallions, and more molds!
Well, today I scored Rarity and Pinkie Pie. There were three more, but none of them were any show featured ponies (which is all I really want).
ReplyDeleteSo since they were almost out, I'm gonna check back tomorrow to see if they restock.
They ARE in Albany, Georgia!
ReplyDeletei have looked in three different walmarts in Knoxville, TN ever since this post 1st popped up.... and still havnt found a thing :/ damn u TN and your lack of ponies!!!
ReplyDeleteFor anyone still looking, try Walmart Supercenters. The first two I tried were regular Walmarts and didn't have them. The third I went to was a Supercenter and found them in the toy section by the other MLP stuff.
ReplyDeleteGuess what Sacramento ponies!
ReplyDeleteI have found my first NORTHERN CALIFORNIA batch of ponies!!!! Bought 8 bags, including glitters. Got to the box the day after it was put out and the mane 6 were already gone. City of rosevile. My other walmart has em on order. Probably gonna by the box as soon as it comes in!
Yay middle of nowhere. I have resorted to re-buying off ebay for some TS pony, but I would prefer to buy the rest from Walmart/Toys-R-Us. Voting with dollars FTW!
ReplyDeleteWho knows, maybe something will finally get through to the marketing team.
OMG DYING! I'm 0-2 in Houston. Friggin walmart is so crazy to visit. This pony no likey! the hunt continues.
ReplyDelete[still hunting for shelf to display his properly on] I got them all, any idea on a street date for the next wave?
ReplyDeleteI can say for a fact that as of today, both the Wilton Blvd and Centerville Rd Wal-Marts in Delaware do not have the blind bags. I can however, say that a Walmart in I believe Chester, PA has them, as a friend showed me the ones he got.
ReplyDeleteyeah i was with tempest searching today... rather disapoint they didnt have any
ReplyDeleteGood news! I just went back to the Centerville Rd. Wal-mart in Delaware, and as of 2 hours ago, they have the blind bags! I scored myself a Minty (Applejack recolor, even though I was going for the Dash/Fluttershy recolor Lily Blossom) and the glittering Rainbow Dash. Tomorrow, I'm probably going back for the glittering Twilight and Pinkie Pie because my mother wants them.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is still checking this, I'm 2 for 2 on Walmart Supercenters, and 0 for 2 on regular Walmarts.
ReplyDeleteSo Supercenters are your best bet.
