It was streamed on HaxMega during a commercial break. I lost it completely when Pinkie started opening the drawer. Too funny! And fast too. They must be able to put together stuff crazy fast.
This was created earlier before the episode and the only missing part was the kid (its one stationary frame of the foal moving). All that had to be done was have him quickly traced and ported into the precreated scene and viola it seems like it was made quickly.
The creator only had to make one standing frame for Pound Cake, the rest was already done. Same thing happened with the Epic Pie Time video; the Zap Apples were added in the short time between the episode and it's release.
I'm gonna guess that most of this was produced before the episode, and the moment with Poundcake was put in right after the episode (Or maybe during the episode itself).
Hey look everypony, the comment box is back! Or is it just me? It wasn't here about 3 hours ago. Anyways, this was pretty funny.... in a disturbing manner....
I don't even care if this is a Cupcakes reference or not, it's a proven fact that out-of-control toddlers can drive almost anyone insane. Seeing as Pinkie is already somewhat insane as it is and her Epic Time persona is even more so, this is hardly a stretch.
<opens drawer with only 4 knives in it <pulls out handscythe Wat. Anyway, have to give them credit in terms of efficiency. less than 30 minutes after the vid was put up? Madness!
HAHAHA lol @ people complaining about Cupcakes. Pinkie is only expressing what everyone who's had to deal with little kids like that are all thinking.
I, personally, applaud the team behind this. Hilariously funny, and having most of this done beforehand, only to wait for the episode so they can get some of the finer details, gets props.
Ok i could have sworn this would have turned into something like childsplay. with the kids standing side by side at the end of the hall saying something like "we see you". of cource pinkamina works too.
@HMorris73 well gee, sorry if I hate being tiresomely reminded that there are "people" among bronies who actually enjoy seeing ponies getting horribly tortured and killed by a retarded, over-exaggerated, out of character version of pinkie pie. serious or not, I have way too much empathy to find any type of dark humour that involves torture of innocent characters "funny"
>those kind of vids make me sick. how do these people live with themselves?
You make it sound as though they had actually harmed a child, as opposed to making a short cartoon about a fictional character briefly considering harming a child.
How do they live with themselves? By having a sense of humor. Their sense of humor obviously differs from yours, but that doesn't make them terrible people.
>-400 respect for the team behind this, really -.-
That's pretty childish. If that's truly your basis for judging people, then I don't have much respect for you either.
>serious or not, I have way too much empathy to find any type of dark humour that involves torture of innocent characters "funny"
Believe it or not, I am much the same way. But I recognize that there's a difference between real malice and a harmless joke. You don't have to find it funny, but you shouldn't find it worthy of righteous indignation.
@Firespikez Way too many assumptions here. First of all this vid isn't exactly the full-on Cupcakes-style grimdark you're talking about, not everyone who likes it is going to be a fan of that sort of thing. Second you seem to think anyone who finds that kind of character subversion at all amusing or interesting is some kind of psychopathic monster, which just isn't true.
For those whining "drawer with four knives... pulls out a scythe" one, it's a sickle, two, it's Pinkie Pie. Have you heard of her? Our beloved fourth-wall-breaker and mistress of hammer-space? Hell, in this episode alone, she teleported into the nursery and was seen in two places almost at the same time, conjured the acoustic properties and ambient sounds of a comedy bar, and managed to put a diaper on a cloud and then juggle it.
@HMorris73 I said I hated being REMINDED of it, I never said the video was a full on shitfest.
they may not be psychopathic monsters, but they're either trolls with a twisted and dark sense of humour or they have a grudge against one of the characters to even remotely like anything about it. or maybe they're one of those people who get sexually aroused by gore or just thinks everything involving it is "cool" and that violence is always the better option, thus completely spitting on all the lessons experienced in the show, and that's what pisses me off. I won't consider this whole cupcakes shit to be on the brony side, no matter what the excuse thrown at me. most replies are just troll bait anyway.
This joke's getting so tired. I never liked the fact that that fic was so popular and got such a following, but I'll admit some jokes could be funny. But now it's not even creative or funny anymore.

ReplyDeleteYou foals
ReplyDeletePound Cake is wielding a bottle of Applejack Daniels... Pinkie, that's not responsible drinking!
ReplyDeleteKnives in the drawer -> Pinkie pulls out a scythe.

Still its impressive.
That was scarier than pinkamina.

ReplyDelete@Select Few Seriously? I think that skips over impressive and dives right into creepy.
ReplyDeleteGreat video. Someone linked to it in thr discussion, that's how I saw it.
ReplyDeleteSweet title pic too. It's too bad Gamecube didn't last; I would have totally played Pinkie's Mansion.
those kind of vids make me sick. how do these people live with themselves? I'll never fucking know.
ReplyDelete* covering ears for upcoming obvious cupcake joke, which is obviously upcoming.*
ReplyDelete-.-

ReplyDeleteStill, quite impressive dedication right there.
@the invincible Pinkie's Mansion? That game would go platinum in the blink of an eye.
ReplyDeleteYou can't blame Pinkie. Anyone who's been around babies has had that thought at least once.
ReplyDelete....ughhhhh disturbing!
ReplyDeletenext time twilight won't be there
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess that most of this was produced before the episode, and the moment with Poundcake was put in right after the episode (Or maybe during the episode itself).
ReplyDelete@Pyrobug Funny. The first thing I wanted to do babysitting my sister was either rip my brains out or just do what Pinkie did and melt down.
ReplyDelete@starfire
ReplyDeleteOMG you just made me remember the teen titans! O,0 i had no idea they were bronies.

ReplyDeleteWell, at least Pinkie didn't have a complete meltdown, right...?
ReplyDelete@Victory Star Uh, nothing. @ThunderIce just made a mention that the comment box at the bottom was back. Don't know about you, but it is for me.
ReplyDelete@city flyer
ReplyDeleteWas it the comment box O,0?
@Electro Madness Well, it was a meltdown nonetheless and I'm sure we all would have given her a hug if we could.
ReplyDeleteI laughed
ReplyDeleteI watched this only about 10 minutes after the replay episode ended. I was blown away by it. Pretty good planning.
ReplyDeleteHey look! The comment box is back! YAY!
ReplyDeleteYou call that a knife? This is a knife!
ReplyDeleteLife? What's that?
ReplyDeleteStill funny :)
Didn't find this funny. -400 respect for the team behind this, really -.-
ReplyDeleteWhat are YOU doing Twilight?
ReplyDelete@Lavender Harmony Aww, you're so dry =P
ReplyDelete@Lavender Harmony yeah. can't have a single pinkie episode without having a GODDAMN CUPCAKES REFERENCE.
ReplyDelete@Dantes_GrillThat's a spoon silly..
ReplyDeleteHad a good laugh at that.
ReplyDeleteI don't even care if this is a Cupcakes reference or not, it's a proven fact that out-of-control toddlers can drive almost anyone insane. Seeing as Pinkie is already somewhat insane as it is and her Epic Time persona is even more so, this is hardly a stretch.

ReplyDeleteNo; the people who animated this were earlier than first.

Anyway, have to give them credit in terms of efficiency. less than 30 minutes after the vid was put up? Madness!
SUDDENLY CUPCAKES
ReplyDeleteShe's only doing what we are all thinking.

ReplyDeleteWay to take things way too seriously.
Bahahaha! I'm right there with ya Pinkie. Impressive speed too.
ReplyDelete@RWC
ReplyDeleteThat's how she rolls. :D
That's definitely what I would have done if I was in her place.
ReplyDeleteWho's the sneaky one now Pinkie?!
ReplyDelete@HMorris73 well gee, sorry if I hate being tiresomely reminded that there are "people" among bronies who actually enjoy seeing ponies getting horribly tortured and killed by a retarded, over-exaggerated, out of character version of pinkie pie.
ReplyDeleteserious or not, I have way too much empathy to find any type of dark humour that involves torture of innocent characters "funny"
I think this is the reason pinkie might not have kids (-.-)
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh wat wat *blinks eyes in amazement* what did You do to an episode about babies BABIES!!!
ReplyDelete@Sethisto lol.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, for the record, I didn't find it funny either, but I see a couple of folks who need to put down the pitchforks.
ReplyDelete@Firespikez

ReplyDeleteWell obviously it was in the secret "Cupcakes" compartment
@Firespikez

@HMorris73
ReplyDeleteagreed
Anyone who finds this tasteless obviously has never babysat a two-year old child before.

oh notch.. lauren... you think she read cupcake's?
ReplyDelete*silence*
wait a minute... was the baby holding a bottle
ReplyDeletejack daniel's?
Oh my.. Now that I see this, i'd rather take my chances with Derpy's babysitting service than let this sicko watch my kids!
ReplyDeletegee, thanks so much for spoiling a funny and heartwarming episode for us. You guys are just EVER so LEET....:P
ReplyDeleteDo I want to watch this?
ReplyDeleteLol i guess that's why they asked Pinkie last out of the rest of the Mane 6
ReplyDeleteThe speed... It makes me wonder if they had most of the animation ready and just plugged in what the babies looked like after they saw them.
ReplyDeleteThis joke's getting so tired. I never liked the fact that that fic was so popular and got such a following, but I'll admit some jokes could be funny. But now it's not even creative or funny anymore.
