That was amazing on so many levels. Programming, technology, imagination... OH SWEET CELESTIA ITS GONNA BE ANOTHER MONTH BEFOR I CAN GET THAT SONG OUT OF MY HEAD AGAIN!
Damn, this definitely made my day! Using floppy drives in an unconventional and unusual way...as musical instruments; adding Winter Wrap Up into the mix notches the thing up! I seriously needed it after a long day of work. I'm going to check this person's other videos.
@Tiloren :P nothing, I'm just bucking excited about my new computer ^_^ my old one was four years old, over-heated hourly, was actually broken (the top part of it had like issues keeping upright), so this new computer is like my new favorite thing!
The lesson here, folks (though we've learned it before), is that anyone on the Internet can instantly get thousands of more interested viewers by doing something MLP:FiM-related.
I can't even come up with something to say after seeing that :O, pretty soon bronies are gonna find a way to play Winter Wrap Up with mayonnaise as an instrument!
this is awesomesauce. ive seen cars playing techno, crazy special effects, and even a symphony of robot turrets playing music (portal 2 anyone?), but never have i seen old floppy drives playing anything, much less one of the more awesome songs in the entire series (but they are all awesome).
This is awesome. Now all we need is this song played on Tesla Coils, and then we need everything else played on Tesla Coils, and that will be. So. Awesome.
i can only think of 3 other ways that would be cool to do this song..but this is HARD to top..but corigraphing it would be epicly hard chainsaws motorcycles various car engine exhaust notes
This is beyond awesome. My lonely floppy drive in this poor outdated computer just shed a tear of joy. Seriously haven't used a floppy drive since like windows98.
This is by far my favorite rendition of WWU aside from the original of course.
I had no idea you could do this with floppy drives. o.o That's way too awesome. (Then again, I've heard of people playing "Still Alive" on a cnc machine, guess it's not THAT suprising...)
Brings back memories of programming my C64 floppy drive to play Another One Bites The Dust back in the days, it's nice to see people still enjoy creating music this way.
that was unbelievable....just think if a brony can do this with floppy disks what could he do if he was in one of the most advanced computer labs in the world.....
You guys bum me out. This is a fad that been around for a couple years. Just because someone transcribes winter wrap up into this format, doesn't make it the most AMAZING THING EVER.
This is the first time that 99.9% of ponies viewing this have ever heard of floppies playing music. Myself included.
Yes it seems amazing, and yes it may have been done before, but just because you are one of the few who thinks that this is "old news", why ruin everyponys good mood and excitement?
Normally, I'd suggest Youtube change their stance on how copyright claims are handled, but from what I've seen the people responsible for moderating the site are as stupid as a sack of mallets.
MLP videos are clearly and maliciously being targeted; even ones who have effectively no copy-written material in them, as you can see by this example.
