[Crossover][Adventure] Do you know how many Skyrim crossovers we have received? It's so nice to finally see one make it though!

More skyrim ponies?
ReplyDeletefirst
ReplyDeleteDon't first. It's not cool.
ReplyDeleteSo wait, is this a two-worlds-meet crossover, or a two-worlds-combined-into-one crossover? 'Cause if it's the latter, I don't know enough about Skyrim to get into it.
ReplyDeleteStole Trixie's what now?
ReplyDeleteFINALLY! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a Skyrim/MLP Crossover fic.
ReplyDeleteThe Emperor of Skyrim dead?
ReplyDelete@Multiversity
ReplyDeleteOne of the pre-readers who didn't know anything about skyim read it, and enjoyed it. The characterization is just really well done.
Skyrim and Ponies. what is this world coming to Awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteInteresting way of going about the crossing-over, although I suppose the worlds are similar enough to not need wormholes or anything to justify it. Anyways, this is something I think I'll keep tabs on.
ReplyDeleteMy body has been waiting for this....
ReplyDeleteAn Elder scrolls story without going overboard? This is going into my to read list.

ReplyDeleteI think for Equestria to exist in the Elder Scrolls universe it needs to have been a realm of it's own, similar to the Daedric planes of Oblivion.
ReplyDeletelooks interesting though. I might give it a shot.
@Sethisto Alright, I'll give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteGonna read this, because if this really one of the few Skyrim crossovers to have passed pre-readers, then it must have something good about it
ReplyDeleteThis... This pleases me greatly.
ReplyDeleteI was SO planning to do my own Skyrim Crossover where I implied Equestria was in a VERY secluded part on the continent of Akavir and the Dragon's had roosted there before Alduin showed up. But after finding out that the Dragon's were actually all from the graves I couldn't see it happening.
ReplyDeleteI was just WAITING for someone to do this and now i shall enjoy this.
ReplyDeleteOkay. I like it. Can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting much going in tbh, but it's pretty good. I haven't even played Skyrim, but I've yet to run into anything that would put me off.
ReplyDeleteReally good, 5/5 stars.
Can't believe that only fluttershy was shocked when they killed that manticore. hehe pretty good story so far.
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing could ruin this: An ill-conceived joke about a certain projectile hitting someone in a certain appendage...
ReplyDeleteConsidering how many of these are being written, one that gets through should be good. I just hope Equestria doesn't get too messed up, but no grimdark tag shows promise.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking what I've read so far. I look forward to the next update.
ReplyDeleteWhat the buck? all my comments keep disappearing! What is going on?! It's not like I was being offensive or anything.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite the opposite!
Looks like my comments are finally staying...
ReplyDeleteSo I'l say it again...
Aw man! yu bat me to the first Skyrim crossover on EQD! Lol still colt hougH!
I still have to wait to see if mine wis approved or not.
It's a pretty different take on the crossover so I don't think there'd be any trouble with recurring thematics...
Can't wait to see how people react to each of them though!
I suppose fanfics will have to suffice until the modders recreate Equestria within Skyrim.
ReplyDelete@Supreme Commander of Brony Mountain
ReplyDeleteuhm, i was going to reply but then i took an arrow in m-
i can't do it.
anyway, i like it so far. haven't had a chance to play Skyrim yet but so far there's nothing spoiler worthy in this (i don't think). well done.
although i think the ponies should be more shocked about the death of the manticore (as another mentioned), i don't really think the ponies are entirely immune from knowing violence. Fluttershy takes care of weasles, er, i mean ferrets and other meat eaters so she should be okay with knowing that men and mer eat meat and defend themselves differently (a bear will ravage a cougar if it can). in fact, i've always thought of Fluttershy as being the most 'ok' with predatory habits seeing as she cares for all creatures. sorry, got off topic.
anyway, i'm curious as to how Celestia and Luna work here, does Celestia have some form of connection to Akatosh to direct his movements so? is Luna the Nightmother? so many curious things, i'd like to see how the author works it all together.
Also, will it be revealed the Celestia is really Sheogorath in disguise? That would explain the whole Trollestia thing.
ReplyDelete@Minalkra
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I doubt that Luna could be the Night Mother. Otherwise she'd have to have an exceptionally hardened mind and heart to be able to shut out and ignore all the people performing the Black Sacrament. That, and having to have borne, and then kill, her own kids for Sithis might be another problem...
This is one of those 'perfect' fanfics. Both sides are done right, it keeps my interest, I like the Elder Scrolls based characters, and it kept a nice pace going. I don't think I've seen a crossover done this well since My Little Avengers and Bridled Fury. I was also pleasantly surprised when I reached the end of the document and found that it linked to the next chapter right away when I thought the first was all I had. I love it when chapters do that! I'm excited for the next installment.
ReplyDeleteThis is good, very good. I've got a new story to follow.
ReplyDeleteOkay I just read it, and I almost had a fit when I got to the end realizing the 5th chapter had not been made yet.
ReplyDeleteI have to hand it to Gnir, he knows his Elder Scrolls lore well, at least back to Morrowind. He's already established four likable characters out of Edwin the Breton, Yngmar the Nord (though was sometimes mispelled Yngmir), Bredas the Dunmer, and Ahmad the Redguard. Especially Bredas who's probably already been established now as my favorite of the bunch,
I love the introduction, Spike being entered into the Equestrian Dragon circle and the connection with Nonvulanti (who I enjoy that name for Steven Magnet thoroughly) and the Red Dragon back to the mane 6 and spike.
Gnir, keep it up. You have me hooked. I'm itching to see more.
Well, shit. And here I was sure I could get one in :|
ReplyDeleteRead it.
ReplyDeleteLoved it.
MOAR!!!
Finally! I have totally been waiting for this.
ReplyDeleteAnd by waiting, I mean "playing Skyrim 'till I drop".
Damn, I have never seen such an addictive game before.
100 septims/bits on Pinkie Pie turning out to be a servant of either Sanguine or Sheogorath. Or both.
ReplyDeleteRead the first chapter and so far so good :D
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the Dovahjun was Paarthunax. He's so nice he could totally live in Equestria.
ReplyDeletePut this on repeat while reading.

Breton battlemage?
ReplyDeleteAPPROVED
So far, we've gotten a few nice nuggets; the story isn't quite how I'd have handled it, but you've crossed the hump of intro/background/setting chapters, and we'll be getting to the meat of things soon. I'll keep an eye out for that.
I assume it isn't intentional that you don't have all your googledoc links up on the frontpage yet?
Considering that I have pending Skyrim fic that keeps getting sent back as "Almost there, but not quite", that 'Finally one made it through line' kind of hurt inside, but whatever.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely written fic, I must say!
just finished chapter 5, this guy knows his elder scrolls shit... DAMN
ReplyDeletealso: it's a good story too
@Echoed Wails
ReplyDeletei'll take that bet and raise you 500 septims and an bottle of argonian ale.
You should put this on Fimfiction.net!
ReplyDeleteIt would get SO much viewers there!
So, I'm like the only person in existence who has not yet played Skyrim. Think I could still understand this if I tried to read it? Because it looks pretty cool nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteMy reaction upon reading this: http://media.fukung.net/images/2273/like.jpg
ReplyDeleteVery well done, even if the background was a bit heavy at times. Still, even then it flowed nicely. Any story that leaves you wanting the next installment RIGHT NOW is a good one, and I wants new installments soon, please.
@sabersword
ReplyDeleteIll take that bet, and raise you 1000 Septims and my trusty glass sword.
I just got Skyrim only a few days ago and I have put in at least 8 hours. This is a big amount for someone who has basketball practice, work, and random events. Now I can read a Skyrim crossover and not feel left out! Also, that theme song is. The. Best!
ReplyDeleteDoes Pinkie Pie have access to the power of CHIM? It'd explain her ability break the fourth wall, since that's basically what CHIM is.
ReplyDeleteDiscord pretty clearly seems to be; his rampant alterations to reality seem to be a pretty clear abuse of the Construction Set to alter things. He started with the Cotton Candy Clouds/Chocolate Rain mod, and went from there. :P
First paragraph in and I'm pretty sure 'dovah' is the plural form of dragon, not 'dovahhe' ('dov' being the singular - as paarthurnax says, 'it is always wize to mistrust a dov')
ReplyDeletebut I could be wrong, haha.
So... will the Dragonborn be making an appearance? :P
ReplyDeleteMASSIVELY LIKE THIS, looking forward to the next chapters!
This was good but a little silly. They treat their magic an skills too much like the video game does. Also the fourth wall seems very thin in this story. Not bad but not perfect. Do want to see more though.
ReplyDeleteI really like this, you know your elder scrolls, I am very much looking forward to the next chapters still waiting for an update
ReplyDeleteDarksiders fan fic is what i'd really like to see next.
ReplyDeleteGosh, sorry to complain but when is this going to update? I though it starting out with the first 4 chapters done and out was a good sign of speedy updates but instead it's been a month and still no chapter 5.
ReplyDeleteWell at least The Wind Thief has remained consistent.
Sorry Gnir, I'd hate to put pressure on you but if you read this, what's the holdup besides writers block?
I'm dying to read more! I hope an update comes soon.
ReplyDeletewaiting for an update
ReplyDeletePLZ update
ReplyDeletelet me guess after Season 2?
ReplyDeleteHey, um... is this going to update anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteYes? No? It'd be nice if somebody would at least give a definitive answer.
Author here. Sorry for the enormous delay! I've found my inspiration again and I'll have you folks know I've got 2 pages of the next chapter written down already. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteUmm, there are more that 2 chapters complete FYI.
ReplyDelete@Unknown
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was wondering who I needed to contact about that. Maybe get them to change it to "My Little Dovah (All Links)?"
hey there i know quite a bit about the elder scrolls series. if you need help with anything involving lore or history i'd be glad to give a hand
ReplyDeleteReally great fanfic and all but it keeps referencing past events. Is this a follow-up to some other fanfic or will this be fleshed out later on?
ReplyDeleteWhat ever has happened to this?
ReplyDeleteI hope Spike learns how to use the Thu'um. That'd be sweet.
