ReplyDeletehmm...a soaren shipping that doesn't involve RD; this seems interesting
ReplyDeleteNever see this pairing before, this should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteSoarinJack? I love SoarinJack.
ReplyDeleteYay for my favorite pony, Applejack, and my favorite WonderBolt, Soarin!!
ReplyDeleteConfound you story's keeping me from sleeping
ReplyDelete@Discord
ReplyDeleteIt's your fault that books talk in the first place.
I still live with the fact that I haven't finished Past Sins or Fallout: Equestria yet, but I still read all the stories posted that aren't them...
ReplyDeleteTime for another story!
ReplyDeleteOn another note: EQD has almost hit 80 million views!
I may actually stay awake this time...
@ScootaDash
ReplyDeletehmm... you have good point there
@Steve Jobs
ReplyDeleteThe waking dead.........
Discord, stop making books talk. My math book is speaking gibberish, my spanish book won't shut up, and all my music books won't stop singing. It's.......chaos......
ReplyDeleteWILL SOMEPONY PLEASE SHUT UP MY DICTIONARY?! Sweetie Bell, come here......
@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteCant the physics book wont stop yelling THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!!!
It's Soarin', not Soaren.
ReplyDelete@Discord
ReplyDeleteLOL LMAO
Believe it or not, the chaos you create, is better for everyone, than the chaos humans create.
Theirs is bitter, yours is fun. Bottom line. End of conversation.
it's always sunny in fillydelphia is a great sorainjack story. it also has epic battles in it
ReplyDeleteI do like some SoarinJack, but the writing is pretty lazy. I mean, he keeps referring to him as Soaren, which just looks weird, and the byplay between the Mane6 just sounds awkward and forced. Besides the fact that it just skips around in time too much without any real setup, and I just couldn't finish it.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be elitist, but with all the fics that come my way on this site, I have to be selective or I'd never get any work done at all.
I think "friends with benefits" fits quite aptly here...
ReplyDeleteI read both chapters and really enjoyed it. Not 100% sure about the Rarity/Fluttershy or TwiPie... But I'm looking forward to more. 4 stars.
ReplyDeleteThis fic has the same problem I've seen everywhere else.
ReplyDeleteIt's trying to do like.... 4 different ships at once.
Writers, please stop doing this. Focus on the main topic of your story, be it shipping or adventure or whatever.
If you want to make it a shipping adventure with Twilight and Fluttershy as the ship, wonderful.
But please do not try and write a RarityDash at the same time. It spreads the story thin and bogs it down.
It also doesn't help that all of the 'off-ships' in this story are "WHENEVER I LOOK AT X I GET GET FUNNY FEELINGS WHY" or even worse, just thrown in there at random (Twilight x Pinkie).
I was willing to cut this some slack after reading the first chapter, but the second made me loose all sympathy with Soarin'. That's not how you treat somepony who saved your life (and your pie).
ReplyDeleteI agree with others, it was just pretty bad. Beyond all that was said, Sourin' was portryaed....I dunno....very oddly. One very wierd thing is, why in the world did they let him just show up and eat like that? That was beyond dumb.

ReplyDeleteHave to agree.
The only stories I have read that handle multiple shippings well are Within and Without and The Ballad of Twilight Sparkle.
And The Combinatorics Project of course, but that was the whole point of that story.
I loved SoarinxJack after reading It's Always Sunny and Semper Fidelis, but this story didn't quite meet my expectations. There's shipping and weird conversations and characters acting oddly (even Pinkie Pie, in her own way) everywhere, the Big Mac and Soarin sequence seemed a bit too early, and I still think Bobcat's rendition of Soarin's cutie mark is better.
ReplyDeleteWell actually the name is Soarin...but the point is that I like this shipping and this history has potential, so... keep up the good work XD
