There should be a comedy tag- LOL
VastaKustutaWat? Trixie will never shut up. But she is the GTP!
VastaKustutaI'm completely baffled at how to comment on this before reading. saved for later.
VastaKustuta@ftfc Just the title, the description, the picture- oh, LOL
VastaKustutaYes, the Normal tag explains it all :p
VastaKustuta"THE Great and Powerful Trixie is the greatest unicorn to have ever lived. She told me this herself, and I have no reason to disbelieve her."
VastaKustutaFirst sentence and i'm hooked XD
So I guess Hairless Ape=Human? hum... now I need to read it!
VastaKustuta@bombe Damn it! Now I'm gonna have to read it as soon as I catch up with reading the topic!
VastaKustutaAn extremely good story, with an intriguing ending.
VastaKustutaSPOILERS (POSSIBLY) OMG YOU GUYS!
SERIOUSLY YOU WERE WARNED!!!
I strongly suspect that the story Trixie told was entirely factual, with one exception: Trixie was not the ghost hunter, but was actually Dribble.
title reaction: WUT?

VastaKustutaWhy would you post that? Nobody is going to heed your spoiler tags. Oh, well, yes, it was a good story with a great twist ending.

VastaKustutaIndeed. 'tis a good read
Trixie the detective sounds like an oxymoron.
VastaKustutaA very well-written and intriguing ghost story and mystery, with the right balance of humor and horror to keep it perfectly engaging. Five stars, hands down.
VastaKustutaHmm... An ape you say? Well I may just have to read this.
VastaKustutaSeems equestria was ours once... Will it be ours again?

VastaKustutaGENTLMEN! WE HAVE A NEW FIC IDEA!
the story sounded so oooold lul but it was good. reminded me of Twilight Zone
VastaKustutaI'm glad I haven't read the story this was based on. How similar was the plot of that story? If this has the same plot with the same twists, then I'm afraid this fic is going down a few pegs in my esteem.
VastaKustutaWhich is really a shame, because I totally want to love this one. A Trixie story that isn't about redeeming her? Interesting worldbuilding and genderswaps? Sherlock Holmes plus Ghostbusters?
Even if this was a retread, it was refreshing, and reminded me of my love of Sherlock Holmes. I think I'm going to go read A Study in Scarlet again now.
The twist ending makes this story totally worth rereading. To bad it'll have to wait until morning. exceeded my expectations.

VastaKustutaNO! Humans are bad! You get no Equestria! >:C
Just look at how mean your ghosts are! Beating poor ponies and scaring them. Bad humans!
Keep running, "Dribble," keep running.
VastaKustutaVery amusing story, and I really like how you formatted the google doc. I really wish I'd done something like that for my fics. It gave it a little pinch of extra atmospheric flavor, like reading those short little detective stories as a kid.
McPoodle here.
VastaKustutaFirst of all, I'm very appreciative of everyone who's taken the time to read this story, and pleasantly surprised by the number who appear to have really liked it.
Also, I wanted to step in and put the proper credits here for the pieces I combined to create the topic illustration:
* The sky and mountains are a photograph of the night skies above Mount Everest near Namche Bazar, Nepal, from the London Daily Mail, taken by Babek Tafreshi.
* The mansion is a photograph of the Baskerville Hall Hotel in South Wales (U.K.), from the Random Ramblings weblog.
* The main character is "The Great and Naked Trixie", by Durpy.
* And finally, the Sherlock Holmes-style deerstalker cap and Inverness cape, as well as the shadow, come (from all places) from screencaps of the Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers episode "Pound of the Baskervilles", property of the Walt Disney Corporation.
ahhh horror goodness! could be made more creepy by having more description though. And i think it would've been better not to write everything in such a recall style.
