• Story: Canterlot Follies (Update Part 10!)

[Comedy] [Crossover] - Crossovers with Jeeves and Wooster

    Author: Lady Moondancer
Description: Frivolous and none too bright Birdsong finds himself saddled with two nigh-impossible missions: to steal a rare artifact right out of the Royal Museum and to bolster the flagging reputation of his cousin, Prince Blueblood, in the wake of “the Gala incident.” With the help of his brainy valet, young Birdy just might succeed . . . but can he trust the opinions of a coltservant who scorns his taste in silverware?

    1. I think I'll give this story a shot.

    2. Second.

Time to Google Jeeves & Wooster.

    3. BAHAHAHAAHA

I seriously doubt the majority of people here even know what Wooster and Jeeves is

    4. There was a great BBC series in the 90s starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, and all the episodes are on Youtube. Here's a link to Episode 1.

There's also the books, which are fantastic. At least two of them <a href="http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10554>are on Project Gutenburg</a> and I think some are also free for download onto the Kindle.

    5. Oops, I messed up the second link . . . let's try that again:

      J&W on Project Gutenberg

    6. Is this the same author as the last one? I dunno if I'd trust anypony else with a J&W crossover.

    7. @OtterMatt

No, and this story actually pre-dates the other one by several months. Go read it!

I'm glad to see it's finally up here and getting the attention it deserves, too!

    8. More J&W? seems everything popping up recently has been something I like the idea of. I'll have to give this a read soon.

      VastaKustuta
    9. Yay verily, bravo, bravo.

      Good to see this up.

    10. All I need is a well written 'Blackadder' fan fic and I'm all set.

      VastaKustuta
    11. Wow. Never thought something like this crossover should pop up. Good thing I read many Wodehouse novels before.

    12. Dude! WTF Lady moondancer!

Please, please finish Continuum! I've been waiting an inordinate amount of time! I beg thee!

      VastaKustuta
    13. oh... but I guess I'll read this too... I liked the last J&W crossover. Now I gotta watch the show.

Its Doctor Whooves and Doctor Who all over again...

      VastaKustuta
    14. OMG Jeeves and Wooster, great show!
Only the bits will get this.

      VastaKustuta
    15. I just love it.

All my cudos to the author.

      VastaKustuta
    16. No Seriously. How do multiple stories with the same crossover/concept/premise keep popping up so close together?

      VastaKustuta
    17. Jeeves and Wooster was, and is, THE SHIT. The P.G. Wodehouse books are the funniest literary works the 1920's had to offer. And MLPFIM....? Well, it's only natural they'd meet up in a crossover. I LOVE IT!!

      VastaKustuta
    18. Please, please finish Continuum! I've been waiting an inordinate amount of time! I beg thee!

Oh, goodness. I'm sorry to keep you waiting and gratified that you like Continuum. I'm not very efficient at writing two stories simultaneously, but I will be returning to Continuum after I finish Canterlot Follies.

Sorry for the wait! I think it will be worth it, though; I've been plotting out some pretty epic plotlines for Continuum. :)

    19. I'm American and 13 years old and I know about/seen Jeeves and Wooster. 1%?

      VastaKustuta
    20. What really amazes me is how well this author manages to ape Wodehouse's style. I would have called Wodehouse "inimitable" but this person seems to be doing a remarkable job of imitating him.

      VastaKustuta
    21. What ho! Absolutely smashing show, jolly good and all that sort of thing! Nothing but the old six stars will fit the bill, what?

      VastaKustuta
    22. @Unknown

Glad to hear Continuum isn't dead :) I loved reading it!

      VastaKustuta
    23. @WizardShy

WHAT!?! You're the 1%!! Well I'M the 99%! *beats up Wizardshy, steals his money, then sends him to the guillotine*

Anyway, smashingly delightful farce, if I do say so myself!

      VastaKustuta
    24. Fantastic! Captures the dry wit of the original, perfectly! Eagerly looking forward to more!

      VastaKustuta
    25. Dude, Wooster and Jeeves! Bahaha. Can't wait to read this

    26. This looks most excellent, although since I saw that picture, I've had the theme tune stuck in my head. xD
