Portal 2 and ponies... It it even possible to create an even more epic combo? It's a shame Portal doesn't have weekly episodes to keep it alive. I'd play the crap out of it!
This is a ponification of the ending, rebuilt from the ground up with completely custom 3d models. Very impressive if you ask me!
Hit it up after the break.

Cool...I love portal~
ReplyDeleteAlso first?
I read that title and squeed... hard.
ReplyDeleteThat must have taken quite some work
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me I havent played Portal 2 yet.. Ill play once I am done with Skyrim (Hehe NEVER!)
ReplyDeleteWait? this is actually ponified and not just ponies along to it? wow, ok this is not what I expected but in a great way, it's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteOh and SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE (I had to)
I can't imagine the amout of work that went into this!
ReplyDeleteEpic. I love both these things and now they have been combined! Also, Space Core is best core.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!! and first?
ReplyDeleteHahaha, "always dresses in style, always dresses in style, always dresses in style..."
ReplyDeleteI want a Companion scoot
ReplyDeleteIs that a Scootaloo being pulled through the shaft? I think it is!
ReplyDeleteNit-picky problem:
When she walks out of the elevator into the field, the motion and sound effects are that of a bipedal creature. So the protagonist isn't a pony when the rest of the whole thing is ponified?
ehh, as I said it's nit-picky.
I haven't had a chance to play Portal 2 yet, I'm guessing this video will probably have spoilers? If it is then I'll will probably miss this video till I'll play the game.
ReplyDelete"Always Dresses In style"
ReplyDeletesompony port that graffiti to Portal 2
THIRTEENTH
ReplyDelete@churchy boy
ReplyDeleteIt does yes, it's part of the ending after all, I wouldn't even read the comments if you want to avoid spoilers.
Haha, "Test Solving Party." xD
ReplyDeleteRatman is the best Rainbow Dash.
ReplyDeleteCompanion Cube is best Scootaloo.
Pony Wheatley is best Wheatley.
You know what's sad? I've not been able to find any decent Pony figures (seriously... I've never so much as seen a blindbag figure for sale in person), but I have a little 4" talking Turret and a light up Wheatley sitting here by my monitor. That seems so backwards. Not that I'd trade them, but still.
ReplyDeleteThe end of Portal 2 is probably the best ending of a videogame I've ever seen. Even the little cap scenes that were recreated here were so perfect. I was honestly depressed when it was over and I wasn't going to be spending any more time with GLaDOS.
@Celestia
ReplyDeleteYeah, he practically asked for it
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Wait. I don't remember my companion pony being in the shape of a chicken...
ReplyDeleteAwesome work on this video!
ReplyDelete@Warden
Don't worry, man. Chell is being played by Lyra, and she's walking bipedally.
@Warden
ReplyDeletethe protagonist was lyra, she was trying to walk like a human
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE! I'm in space.
ReplyDeletePortal and Portal 2 are some of the best games I have ever played. The storytelling is absolutely brilliant and evokes a true emotional response at critical points in the story. The ending of Portal 2 was a phenomenal experience that could only be made better with the addition of ponies.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting to see Luna in the space part :P
ReplyDeleteO.=.O it's so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteOh great it's that creepy Pony Portal video guy, not agai- EPIC WIN
ReplyDelete...you go Brony!
Wow, pretty well made. Impressive. Some good time and work certainly went into that. Of course everyone caught all the "always dresses in style" graffiti in that one room. :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, inafter SPAAAAAAAAACE!
Very good! I'm surprised how well this turned out.
ReplyDeleteSpace core pony's legs are cute
ReplyDeleteValve cannot make weekly episodes, they can't even make yearly...
ReplyDeleteEh, it was okay.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time someone made this.
Wonder if this'll get that pony Portal 2.5 mod team inspired again? XD
ReplyDelete"It's a shame Portal doesn't have weekly episodes to keep it alive"
ReplyDeleteI guess you could say it would be...
*lowers sunglasses*
Still Alive.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Seen it before it was posted here.
ReplyDeleteOh god... Im a hipster brony!? NOOOO!
MLP:FiM + Valve Games + Doctor Who
ReplyDeleteLikely if you're reading this you like two or more of the things above. I call it the epic triangle.
A. MAZING. Since I have never played portal (beyond some kind of two dimensional Flash version) this is like totally art-film scifi to me, like a cross between 2001 a Space Odyssey and the end of the final episode of The Prisoner. Beautiful! Is there a download somewhere?
ReplyDeleteThis video was amazing. Though I might actually have nightmares (no pun intended) from that disembodied opera singing mare head.
ReplyDeleteI for one vote to make Lyra the Pony version of Chell. Walk bipedal and never talks, but still can get quite the expressions though her actions.
Very well animated.
ReplyDeleteHowever I find ponifying non-organic constructs to be slightly creepy.
@Everypony who said SPPAAAACCCEE!
ReplyDeleteYES WE KNOW! SPACE! YOU! IN IT!
@frith
ReplyDeleteThe Portal games are some of my all-time favorite pieces of entertainment across any medium. It's hard to tell people about them, however, because the very fact that there's a storyline to them at all is something of a spoiler in itself.
Anyway, anyone wanting to compare the above video can check out the original here:

And the entire soundtrack for Portal 2 is offered free on the publisher's webpage here:

The track used in the video is "Cara Mia Addio!" from Vol. 3.
If custom 3d models is a part of this, then does it belong in the 3D pony category?
ReplyDeleteSpace Core Pony is best Space Core.
ReplyDeleteThe turrets have... gunboners? It that it?
ReplyDeletelolzorz
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing video, kudos to the creator for his sick skills.
ReplyDelete...Well, now I've seen everything.
ReplyDeleteInteresting job with the turrets; I wasn't expecting that. I also liked those little bits of graffiti I managed to catch in the blur.
InAFTER Scootaloo-cube jokes.
Oh wow, I wasn't expecting to be impressed but I was, and more so with Pony Wheatley and space core.
ReplyDeleteBrilliantly done!
Space pony is best pony
ReplyDeletenow that was AMAZING
ReplyDeleteAmusing, and a tad creepy all at once. Had to be a lot of work, and how many people at the ending thought they were about to get shot or it was going or something dire when that first elevator opened? Huh, huh? I know I was cursing for a few seconds before rib breaking laughter, oh Portal 2, you caused so much glorious pain. With ponies... I may not survive.
ReplyDeleteSpace?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aregmo_axaQ&feature=youtu.be&t=1m12s
I can actually sing that whole song without knowing a word of Italian, so of course I love this.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the animation in general. The mouths moved at the right times when talking, the models were neat, and the ending was great, too.
ReplyDeleteaww I wanted to see the soprano and animal king turrets...
ReplyDeleteCara Mia Addio is an amazing song. Setting it to ponies just makes it awesomer.
ReplyDeleteI loved the ending to that game, and it somehow got better
ReplyDeleteScootacube FTW.
ReplyDeleteI'm not completely sure if this is the most awesome thing I've ever seen in my life.
ReplyDeleteBut if it isn't, I don't have a single fucking clue what is.
Am I the only one who was kind of EXTREMELY creeped out by that opera-singer turret pony? Seriously, accidentaly nightmare fuel. Damn you uncanny valley.
ReplyDeleteAside from that, this was pretty goddamn amazing.
@EvenMotion
ReplyDelete*face desk*
The chicken jokes are really overstaying their welcome. Scootaloo is not actually a chicken. It was a figure of speech inserted into ONE episode. She's a pegasus filly just like the rest of the pegasus fillies.
Alternate explanation:
If you recall in the human and robot version of Portal 2, the Companion Cube looked like it was broiled upon exit.
Broiled.
Fried.
Fowl.
Get it? Got it? Good.
Weighted companion cutout?
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be a pony mod for Portal 2....
ReplyDeleteSo much space. Gotta see it all.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, when they gave me back my companion cube at the end, I squee'd. Never done that for a video game before. Not even ME2's Tali.
Thanks for posting this Seth! This makes me glad.
ReplyDelete@DragonCurse
ReplyDeleteWow, you are extremely good at what you do. I can only begin to imagine how much work has gone into that. I also love seeing how you've improved from "Aperture Pony".
The turret opera made me get tears in my eyes when I finished the game, not even joking.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Portal 2 was the first game I didn't have the ending (or most of the plot) spoiled for me, so it was a mindscrew all the way through.
0.0 This was amazing. Portal 2 was one of the best games I've ever played hands down. So much story and emotion is packed into it that at the ending I actually started tearing up I was so happy. Now ponies are mixed in with this epic music... i might just have to take a break and weep while listening over and over again.
ReplyDeleteAlso, SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE! /)^3^(\
Beautiful, simply beauiful.
