A pony trading card game is currently being worked on by a few people over on Ponychan. I've tossed a small blurb about it in the roundup before, back when they didn't really have much progress. Since then, they have released full models of the cards themselves, along with some information on how the actual game is played. The designs on these things are looking great!
If you would like to follow future progress, along with any release dates, check out the new blog here. They also have a Facebook page, primary Ponychan thread, and gallery of card examples.
The testing phase is coming up pretty soon supposedly. Hopefully all the bugs are worked out so we can start playing at meetups!

Twilight seems dissapointed in her stats.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the card gallery, and I'm impressed with how accurately they assigned abilities and stats to everypony. This might be the ONLY MLP merchandise I buy just because how cool they are. 10 stars out of 5.

ReplyDeleteYou can print them out and youtube shows you how to make your own cards:)
ReplyDeleteSo what are we looking at here?
ReplyDeleteI see FMA and a little bit of MTG...
Well, lets see if it works.
Go for it is what i want to say.
My only concern is, is this going to be a one time deal?
As in like Bakugan or Redakai?
Or will it stick around?
If you want a game to stick, make it easy enough for an 8 year old to grasp, don't make it overly complicated like L5R. Trust me, I play several, (not in the past year thought).
