I personally really like Fluttershy's so long and pretty. Heck if you ask me Twilight's mane might be my least favorite, I mean I definitely think Pinkie's mane is better. That only leaves Applejack, and I think I even like her mane better it has a nice blond color and I like the long ponytail. Twilight's is cool too, the colors are nice, but not relative to the others.

I was torn between Rarity and Rainbow Dash for a while, as they both have great hair. What finally pushed it over the edge for me was the fact that Dashie's mane is awesome naturally, without styling or dying, while Rarity meticulously styles her mane to get it as fabulous as it is. In short, Rainbow Dash has awesome genetics for hair, and therefore her hair is inherently better (i.e. as an intrinsic characteristic) than average.

Royal Canterlot Voice aside, I'm a Pinkie fanatic, and I still think Rainbow Dash has the best mane out of the six. Now if you would have said straight-maned Pinkie, there would be no contest, but what's the fun in that? Pinkie keeps her mane poofy just so other ponies stand a chance.
Everypony had a good reason to get my vote but I had to give it to Rainbow Dash for the rainbow mane. It's really tough to pull off wearing rainbow colors and not look terrible but Dash does it perfectly.

The reason I had trouble deciding who had the best mane was because I didn't really know what to define as "best". Should I go for beauty, poofy, multicolored, best head decoration, straight, or cute? For each, a different pony took that category of "best".
VastaKustutaIn the end I had to go with Fluttershy, because of one scene in S1E17 Stare Master, where she blows her hair out of her face. It's just too cute to overlook.

Celestia's is the best by far. It somehow catches the most minuscule of breezes to make it flow all the time. And the colors are so soft and look really nice together. Luna's is 2nd for the same reasons.
VastaKustutaOut of the main ones though, I'd have to go with Pinkie's. It's the only one that actually means something, by portraying her emotional state. It's flat when she's depressed/insane, like when she was young, or in Party of One, but it's puffy usually, reflecting her happy personality.
How did Dash win this one? The rainbow color is awesome, I'll admit, but the design is just so, so, let's just say it doesn't look very nice.

Look, guys. It's like Tundra says. This argument is ongoing because we're stuck in a metaphysical quandary. The word 'best' poorly defined and therefore meaningless. It has no definite definition and until someone does come up with one, conceptual confusion will persist. And yes, I did take a philosophy class this semester.

I love RD's wild and scruffy mane. It's that cool shaggy effect that I've always loved. Plus it's Rainbow! How much cooler can you get, really?

As a person who draws ponies a lot I think Fluttershy's mane is most fun to draw but Rarity's mane is the best.

Honestly, I was expecting some sort of a major Fluttershy comeback on the last day of the poll. Aside from that, you guys can all say, if you want, Rarity has the "best monocolored mane of them all". You can't just compete with a freaking rainbow mane.
As awesome as Dash is... Rarity has the most fabulous mane.

VastaKustutaNext time, maybe we shouldn't put Dash on the poll because, if she wins, there'll be a huge load of bronies saying that "RD fans are stupid, biased and blah-blah-blah." There are several different opinions in our community as a whole and, if we're not able to aceept them, we'll never be able to love and tolerate properly.

Personally, I love everypony of the Mane 6 and it happens Dash is my favorite out of them (I'm not saying she's "the best pony"). For that reason, I got really used to the idea of "love everypony", because it would be some sort of a branch outta the usual "love and tolerate" motto.
But what really saddens me is when I find myself face-to-face with hate in our community. It doesn't happen exclusively to RD; in fact, it happens with the whole Mane 6, but with different intensities and frequencies.
Of course, everybrony can "don't like" somepony. The problem is, when you start to bash towards that pony or its fans, you're hatin', my friend. And hate isn't cool.
Best two for me is Rarity and Applejack,
