Popular - It is a calm remix. It is slow and has a interesting cybernetic atmosphere when listing to it with headphones.
Hand For Hoof - I will admit, the singing is OK. I would have liked the music more if it was just the instruments. The instruments makes a cybernetic feel which is pretty well made.
Overall, if you like slow cybernetic music, I recommend listing to these videos.
Depends on the headphones and speakers. You should see some of my speakers. ;)
The Becoming Popular remix was nice. Maybe a little too chill for my tastes, but still good.
Ah, the second is very loosely based on a series of fanfics. I thought it sounded like it had a special story behind it a little. Not familiar with them myself. I think the singing could use just a little work. But it's not bad. Thought the lyrics were alright. Nice song overall.
I felt #2 was pretty interesting overall. The tune, singing, lyrics, and overall feel to it were all...well, I won't say best thing ever, but it gets you thinking. Kinda touches that psychological part of your brain - the part with morals and reasoning. There's a download in the description, right? It was pretty good.
@Sunset Sprinkles dunno, but everypony has different tastes, and there are really limitless ways to make and shape music. These artists have their own visions for their music so I'm sure that given time, you will find an artist that makes music that will just click with you :P
I'm not quite understanding how people are NOT liking these songs. #1 is soft, quiet, flowing. It's like water. It settles the senses. Great unwinding song.
#2 is really a fascinating social study of not only the conversion to bronyism, but also the brony fantasy of becoming one with and assimilating into Equestria itself. On top of that the vocals are slick, competently sung and the music is just fantastic!
#1 wasn't my style, but #2 was pretty good. Pondering the 'Conversion Bureau' series earlier and my usual "longing for fictionland" probably made that one hit a little closer than otherwise.
Also, definitely needs headphones. No laptop speakers do d.notive justice.
@CaptRicoSakara I didn't check the youtube page first and thought that was just a coincidence, but it actually was inspired by The Conversion Bureau. He mentions it in the description.
I do like number one, but it's just a bit too slow for me, not my thing although it is really chill and rather relaxing in feel.
Number two is so in my pony playlist, the slow cyber feel is so neat, the lyrics sound nice (but I didn't listen to the words) in the way they flow and don't dominate over the music. Very cool :D

ReplyDeleteI only listen to things with headphones dO__Ob
ReplyDeleteWhat about awesome studio monitors?
ReplyDeleteNumber one- now that's definitely a remix. Long, interpretive, and definitely remixed.
ReplyDeleteNumber two- also long, but hey- it's an original (song and name). The lyrics are pretty nice, and the singing is a bit above average.
Ima listen to them later for now
headphones, FTW
ReplyDeletethe music is okay, i guess. not my style, though. I'm not one for remixes.
Headphones are the ONLY way to listen to music
ReplyDeleteYes Headphones = good.
ReplyDeleteSecond one is nice.
Sweet celestia's gleaming alabaster flanks... Hand for Hoof is JAWDROPPING...
ReplyDelete#1-It's alright, I slow beat, but a okay remix.
ReplyDelete#2- It's a long song. The beat is okay, singing is alright.
Meh, in time we'll see better music.
There not bad though.
I have to agree woth bagelzlover on the songs.
ReplyDeleteBeen listening to Hand For Hoof for around 9 hours now. Someone tell d.notive to upload a 320kbps .mp3!

@Captain64 amd if you like fast cybernetic music, listen to these two. Good luck commenting on it, though. XD
ReplyDeleteI liked both.

ReplyDelete#1 is a great background song for non-invasive music listening (the kind that you can listen to while doing work) and is generally awesome
ReplyDelete#2 has an awesome beat, fresh, and smooth vocals
is anyone noticing all these videos being taken off youtube? She's a pony and Nightmare night were both taken down
ReplyDeleteWhy are Rarity and Sweetie Belle Jewish? (Check the new EqD Header)
ReplyDeleteSigh...will there ever be a remix to Becoming Popular I actually like?
ReplyDelete@ThatShawnGuy because bronies are from several ethnic backgrounds and it's a nice christmas theme fit for the EQD's banner :P
ReplyDeleteWow, I love Hand for Hoof.
ReplyDeleteYes #1 is slow but that is just how it is, it feels like great mood music. Long...Slow...nice. As for 2, well #1 is still playing.
ReplyDelete#2 Is very well done, good singing and rather different that what i have heard lately.
ReplyDelete@Sunset Sprinkles

#2's quite interesting. It's either creepy or liberating depending on how much you long for fictionland.
ReplyDeletei have epic speakers and a subwoffer! Headphones are not needed! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
ReplyDelete#1 I really like her mane?
ReplyDelete#2 Well done, I like the style very much. It's different.

"Meh"? I just don't get it.
Nice songs, I liked them
ReplyDeleteQuite good.
ReplyDeleteNothing "OMG I must download this right now", but pretty close to that level and better than a lot of songs I've heard. I enjoyed listening.
I need to find the lyrics for the second one. Probably on the youtube page.
@ThatShawnGuy
ReplyDeleteThe header was created by PixelKitties, who is Jewish.
Like them both. #1 is going into my work playlist, because it just makes for a nice subtle ambiance.
ReplyDeleteBut the star of the show is #2. I know I'm going to be listening to that one for a while. Onto my iPod it goes!

Both of these are really good!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does song #2 sound like it was made for The Conversion Bureau series? =/

ReplyDeleteDUBSTEP PLZ! :D

My speakers CAN take it! And it rocks! Although I don't think my neighbors think so, too.
ReplyDeleteGotta love chill music
ReplyDelete1. Spacey.
ReplyDelete2. I like this, very neat idea.
Is this based off of a fan fiction? If so what is the name of the fan fiction?
