We have two more remixes of Becoming Popular, and a really neat MLP Theme/Doctor Whoof mashup this time around. Check them out below!
1.) Becoming Popular (Archie.V Remix)
2.) Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know) vs. Till The World Ends
3.) Pony Symphonic Poem - A Doctor in Ponyville
I wish Derpy/Ditzy Doo get some spoken lines, or even a part in a song soon. I REALLY want to see some remixes for her done. Regardless, this is really nice.
Good songs, especially liked the 3rd. Also Daniel seems to be commenting more and more on these fan-made songs. Really nice of him to be taking time for that.
Becoming Popular is easily the best written and performed songs on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. It just has a much different feel to it from the others that makes it seem like they hit a home run with it. Amazing piece.
Also, wanted to ask if anyone else had a "Disney"-esqe feel from this song while watching it? It just felt like something Disney has done on multiple levels, with a montage, and whatnot. That's how highly I felt of this song. To me, it felt like it could have easily stood up to the high standards Disney likes to place on it's musical sequences, albeit it's shorter than it's average songs.
1. This remix caught me off by surprise! This is a Electro-house remix done right! despite that the singing part are too far between still an incredible job dude, can't wait to hear more from you :)
2. Hehe, Clever mash up dude! :) liked this remix a lot aswell, despite it's very plain nature of it and that you repeated a lot of the parts from the song it's still very good! keep up the good work!
3. Whoa, that's a pretty epic ochestra cover of the theme song! and oh my god, how did you manage to fit in the MLP theme in there aswell without making it sound weird? that's great job dude! :) loved it!
@c.t.burgh Eh, I don't know about that. The song is short and has repetitive lyrics. Don't get me wrong, its an amazing song but I feel songs like 'Art of the Dress' and 'Best Pet' have such more more variety and depth to them. As for sheer enjoyment to listen to, it's hard to beat Winter Wrap up. Sure its repetitive, but it's been almost a year since I first heard that song and I still enjoy hearing it.
However, the animation is Becoming Popular is pretty amazing. I love how they synced up the animation to the beats in the song, that was very well done.
Well, it's pretty well known that a repetitive melody is what makes a song stick in your head. It's something I believe Stephen Sondheim has mentioned a number of times when his music is criticized for not being "hummable", enough.
As for these songs, I am amazed by #3, it's just brilliant and I could listen to it over and over again. #2 is also one of the most listenable remixes that I've heard so far - it keeps the original melody intact and then adds new elements that complement the original melody.
1) I totally agree with The Living Tombstone's review on #1. It was great! It would have been my #1 for Becoming Popular remixes if it just had more vocals.
2)At first I was like, "This is pretty good." Then the chorus from 'Till the World Ends' came in and I went "Daaayyyyuuummmm!" That was awesome. :) Just pure awesome. And seamless at that. I love the way you mixed up the "everypony should know" to keep the pitch where youw anted it. Very well done.
3)I decided to listen to check out the other songs JUST FOR THIS. And this was definitely icing on the cake. Not only was the video great, I simply loved how you added the sound clips in it. :) Though I had a hard time deciding what was from the original theme and what was added. Thats mainly me not knowing the whole original theme than not being able to hear it. It..was...EPIC. I'd say this should be the theme music for all Doctor Whooves episodes. :)
Number one was... well it was something else, I get the feeling that Archie actually added to the song, there have been so many remixes but this one takes the cake and I am just so impressed! I am so going to keep an eye on this artist. #2 was okay, really not my style but it was good.
#3 Doctor who hands down is fantastic but this... this is damn well worth listening to more than once and was the first I listened to. It incorporates the MLP main theme in an effective way that is almost hard to really hear unless you know what to look for.

@Rico_Chet94 Creator of that video here. You can also use this shortened URL so that it doesn't reveal my name at first: http://post.ly/4BSww
ReplyDeleteWilliam Anderson didn't write the "My Little Pony" theme. (Neither did Daniel Ingram, for that matter.)
