Holy crap. I've heard the background sound to #2 before. Some person used it in a dead island trailer when they ordered it out. God, I have to find that guy's channel now.
These were pretty good. I didn't like the second when it started out, but I liked it more as it progressed. I think his singing could use a little fine-tuning still. But overall, good.
I love the My Little Dashie one. Very sweet and moving like the story. The third one was a nice rewrite of an already beautiful song, although lyrics were kinda dark.
You've got a good singing voice; not a great one though. I wonder if with more voice training it could sound more professional. Very good at blues stuff though.
The first one, which was my favorite, is clearly a parody of an existing song, but what about the others?
I think these are pretty solid. Definitely an enjoyable folksy kind of sound, certainly a welcome change to the usual dance/electronica this fandom seems to stick with.
And true to the folksy sound, I can actually feel a slight, dare I say, pained drawl to the singing style. So it's a singing voice that wouldn't really shine in an upbeat fast sort of pop song, but has really found it's voice in its style and backing instrumentals.
Plus, it kinda sounds like Randy Newman. You can't help but smile at that parallel.
Oh jesus I do suck at perspective don't I. I guess I should've drawn him from the side or something. I have no idea how someone thinks its a head thats UPSIDE DOWN though...

Very artistic music and images. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteFor those that don't know, the third one is a parody of "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie.
