I'll admit when I saw the Becoming popular 1987 mix, I derped and thought it said, " Bowling for soup 1985 mix" I was like aww, then re read it and was like awwwww...
Oh my, now 80's Rarity is best Rarity!! More please! P.S. those are legwarmers, not sweatbands. You must have missed the 80's! Let's give her a blazer with shoulder pads and big fluffy hair.
Congratz Tombstone your Becoming Popular interpretation has taken the 10k spot on my all songs I have (aprox) playlist, now onward with moar pony music till 11k and BEYOND!!!
This seems like a big improvement from My Name is Twilight Sparkle. I'll be looking forward to anything you do in the future. I liked this song a lot so if you keep getting better then I'll be impressed. It wasn't just Living Tombstone either, I find your rap voice quite pleasant to listen to.
With all the remixes it looks like Rarity's new song is... *puts on sunglasses* Becoming Popular.
Becoming Popular is my second favorite song in MLP and the 80's mix is all kinds of awesome. I think it's going to join AlexS's remixes on the top of my "most played" list.
lol I got beaten to the punchline there... I was going to joke about it "Becoming Popular". Hah! Well listening to the first one.... Download and Kept. Checking out the second one now.... and... well... not a keeper in my library. Very good song though. :) Props to the makers of these songs!
@Yelling At Cats A rap about FOE, SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE- *is heard across entire nations*
*cough* I mean, that would be a fantastic idea! I can't wait <3

ReplyDelete"Rarity with sweatbands is amazing in itself"
ReplyDeleteTruer words were never spoken.
#1 Does as it says. It really sounds like a house mix.
ReplyDelete#2 Is epic despite the fact that I am not a huge fan of this tpye of music.
The "Becoming Popular" song has like what? 30 remixes already? Must be a popular song to remix. :)
ReplyDeletelies! it was just a bad comment :/
ReplyDeleteThat first one is amazing... sounds like vintage Pet Shop Boys with a tinge of Stock Aitken Waterman. (I love my 80s music!)
ReplyDelete#1: Now THAT is how you truly Remix a song! Totally awesome, and exceedingly well done!

ReplyDeleteTombstone and d.Notive? YEEEEEEESSSSSS
ReplyDeleteIt was only time...
ReplyDeleteThat was just about the most beautifully 80s-like song ever.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one.
ReplyDeleteThe 80's are the gift that just keeps on giving. I love that decade so much.
Tombstone, and a rap. About how friends are the best. #2 is the best.

ReplyDeleteRarity is getting so much awesome stuff so far since Season 2 started.
ReplyDeleteHer own episodes, big parts of other episodes, amazing art, great remixes of the best songs in the show(for individual ponies).
RARITY IS BEST PONY.
I could be wrong, but I believe those are leg warmers, not sweatbands.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you guys know that if its Cats rapping, not Tomb.... Just saying.
ReplyDeleteYeah... that is definately Yelling at Cats rapping in #2.
ReplyDeleteYay!, good memories of 80's music, excellent remix of a excellent song.
ReplyDeleteD,Notive again drops an Awesome song, it just bleeds 80's and thus Even Awesome.
ReplyDeleteFirst was alright. It had a bit of that 80's feel to it. Definite plus for me being an 80's music fan.
ReplyDeleteReally liked the second one. As always, a total sucker for pieces with original lyrics. lol But the lyrics were good and overall it sounded great.
Rarity in headbands my flanks. Rarity in spandex makes it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and nice music.
80's Remix is best Remix. Rarity is best Pony.
ReplyDeleteGREAT SCOTT!
ReplyDeleteSo much win in these two songs. Previous to my ponymusic obsession, I was stuck on a huge 80's music binge.
And Tombstone never fails to deliver.
you know i really Like this 80s style, it just feels like its should of been an 80s pop song
ReplyDeletegood work that artist
@quicksilver
ReplyDeleteNo. Legwarmers were never cool. NEVER.
Plus they remind me of G2.

1) Look...I grew up in the 80s. I had flashbacks listening to this mix. I grew up with this song. I swear it was on the radio. Really. A++
ReplyDelete2) Just didn't do it for me, sorry.
With all the remixes it looks like Rarity's new song is... *puts on sunglasses* Becoming Popular.

Musicians are killing it recently. This music post gets the rare download-all-the-songs treatment. Good job guys.

Nice songs! Prefered #2 over #1 but both were done brilliantly :)
ReplyDeleteI think "Becoming Popular" was quite fine song, but not brilliant. I don't like rap really much.
ReplyDeleteStill #2 is amazing.
I have nothing more to say.
YES.
ReplyDeleteThese two absolutely, totallylyly deserved an EqD post.
@Yelling At Cats
ReplyDeleteA Fallout: Equestria cover!? You MANIAC! I eagerly anticipate!
