Please don't stop Bombe, for me? Ignore all those other people, they just hating. Do what you love. Do what you're good at. Why, I bet if you had a cutie mark it would be your comment first on a post! Would you deny your cutie mark?
The first one's not really my style but I can tell it's well done.
I like the second one quite a bit. Maybe I haven't been listening in the right places but it feels like a style of techno I haven't heard in a while. (I don't mind dubstep, but it's refreshing to not have the ever-present wobble in a song for once...)
{edit} See...the smoke is clearing...ponies's eyes are opening...with an awesome hipster wallpaper, another CMC remix...soon the world, and all the bronies will declare, undoubtedly, that SCOOTALOO IS BEST PONY !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!!
oh god, the first song... a ponification of one of my favorite songs by my favorite artist... my life is now complete. Will be racking up playcounts on this in the dozens pretty quickly
#1 Some of the lyrics in this one certainly sound slightly... interesting. Lyra roleplays in bed. lol <3 It's a pretty good song. I agree, the guy singing does sound Irish. Which makes me like it even more.
#2 I really enjoyed this mix. It has a good fluid beat.
Lack of joel fans in this fandom saddens me :( I heard this song and was like "can it be, a Joel pony cover? IMPOSSBRU! and it was and I saw it was good. Then I rested and listened to it a dozen times in a row.
@AJTheEngineer at first I was all excited to see a bunch of joel related comments on EQD cause he's one of my all time favorite artists... then it didnt happen and i was sad :c Then I listened to the song again and didn't care
I haven't even listened to nearly as much Joel as I should have in my life, but I picked up on the similarities instantly. Then again, pretty much every one of the few songs I HAVE listened to of his I love, so that probably influences my ability to detect his style. Either way, wonderful piece! The guy has a great voice!
The second tune's also quite fun; I love me some electronic, and this delivers! :D

ReplyDeleteNumber one really sounds like Elton John! Amazing voice
ReplyDeleteSecond one was ok imo. Had some really good parts, but just didn't get me into it.
@Bombedrumbum Ah, yes, I suppose so.
ReplyDeleteIs #1 based off a Billy Joel song? It sounds so familiar...
ReplyDelete#2: good, but my favorite is probably the Power Metal version... *doesn't really care for instrumentals*

ReplyDelete@Whitbane I know, it's blasphemy! Scootaloo is obviously best pony to be with on a stormy day/night!
ReplyDeleteNa, Pinkie is best thunderstorm pony.
ReplyDelete#1 was good. Love me some irishman songs.
ReplyDelete#2 was good, too. Nice beat, used it to its advantage very well.
Lyras named Lyra are the best Lyras.
ReplyDelete@Ashton
ReplyDelete(Cripes I feel old): #1 is based off Billy Joel's 1977 "Always A Woman"

ReplyDeleteI know, right? So obviously an 'She's Always a Woman' parody.

ReplyDelete@Shutterfly There are Joel fans here! Just not nearly enough.
ReplyDelete@Tora another old-timer here that figured it out! :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one: I was thinking "this sounds like and is about as good as Elton John." Then I realized that it was a ponified Elton John song.
