Wait... this is a thing? A hooded towel?
Apparently FiM has invaded this new set of... apparel, with Rainbow Dash and Rarity taking center stage. Judging on proportions, it may be a bit small for most of us. Still though, a hooded towel? Our laziness knows no bounds.
They also have a few new bedspreads for those that want to ponify absolutely everything.
Sadly it still uses the base vectors. Hopefully we will get some new ones in the future!
Both of these can be found at a store called "Aldi" in Australia.
Thanks to Aaron for the pictures!

Wait, there's an Aldi down the street from where I live. I thought it was like a grocery store or something.
ReplyDeleteI will have some explaining to do...
ReplyDeleteI'm Australian and FUCK YEAH ALDI
ReplyDeleteA hooded towel, eh? Isn't that just a type of bath robe with the front sewn up? And clearly the Australian Aldis do different fare from the UK ones, though my local one was flogging cheap wetsuits the other week, so who knows.
ReplyDeleteOoh, gotta email Sam Horn.
ReplyDeleteOh gawd I'm not Australian.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, not brilliant but it's always nice to see more things pop up.
ReplyDeleteInorite?! That's what I said too. A hooded towel? WTF is that? lol Kids these days and their combination things. :P
ReplyDeleteBut yay for pony bedspreads. Too bad they're in Australia.
Introducing- the ghetto snuggie
ReplyDeleteHooded towel is lazy? If anything that sounds like a lot more work to me. I don't even know how you would... or what you would....
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteI do miss my snuggie. So warm. :(
Th-there's an Aldi in my town...
ReplyDeleteCurses, Australia! Your Aldi is now officially better!
There's a normal FiM towel in Big W in Australia, I took a picture but I'm too lazy to email it to EqD.
ReplyDeleteYeah, glad Australia is getting these FiM merchandise that other countries don't have.
You don't have Aldi?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Rarity is getting more love.
ReplyDeleteLooks like something my little sister would like. She's as much a die hard pony fan as me...that does it. I'm off to the airport right now. Maybe somebody's given up their seat on a flight to Australia. Anyone in the NY area wanna come? XD Just kidding. I wish I had the bits to do that. Fly thousands of miles for a friggin towel.
ReplyDelete@Octavia you know that it's just a backwards robe, right?
ReplyDeleteAldi? YES! TIME TO SOME HEARTHS WARMING EVE SHOPPING!
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteis there such a thing as a pony snuggie?! if not we need to make them!!
Spider-Man is best pony.
ReplyDeletePonify ALL the things.

ReplyDeleteHooded towel? More like a badass poncho!
ReplyDeleteThere's an Aldi in Australia? I thought that store was something European.
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteIt actually works pretty well for what it's intended for. Plus mine was made out of that super soft material.
@Ben Gibson
ReplyDeleteI wish there were. lol
They have Aldis in the American Midwest as well, and in Europe. Guess they don't have the same stuff, though.
ReplyDeleteThey look like a traditional poncho just with colorful pictures.
ReplyDeleteDon't knock hooded towels. They allow one to simultaneously dry off AND be a superhero!
ReplyDeleteOr, be covered with ponies. Which is better, obviously.
I find myself regretting the fact that I am no longer 8 :(
..maybe I've just been working in retail too long, but hooded towels have been in fashion for kids for like two or three years now. @.@
ReplyDeleteBut more importantly, THERES NO ONLINE STORE LINK?! D:
I must have that bedspread. I..must...HAVE IT!
*goes online scouting*
I curse you Aldi! AWAY WITH YOUUUUUUUU! (+5 points if you get the reference)
ReplyDeleteD: Theres no online odering from the website. I am a very sad pony this night.
@Jimmy James
ReplyDeleteI concur. Only I see it more modernized and colorful.
Though I still prefer sombrero over hoodie.
they need a Pony Forever Lazy! (adult footie pjs with hood and buttflap)
ReplyDeleteThey're putting mlp alongside with spiderman and sesame street, and mlp has only been out for one year. Man it's gaining popularity fast
ReplyDeleteI've got a feeling that Rarity would be shocked and appalled to discover being represented on such a garish garment such as that hooded towel...
ReplyDeleteActually the hooded towel thing is a lifesaver when you have a toddler. It drys the body & hair at the same time, thus getting my girl into pj's quicker & with less fuss.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle is a manager of an ALDI store. I'll putt in a good word and get it for free.
ReplyDeleteWhat the Molestia? Aldi was first founded in germnay why does Australian gets the towels?
ReplyDelete*looks outside*
Rrriiight, lots of snooooowww~
Oh dear Luna, must find these!
ReplyDeleteHooded towels have been a thing since the 90's at least - I had one when I was little. I want the MLP bedspread though. There's 2 Aldi's where I live, and I hope they have these.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Oz Aldi is best Aldi.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm surprised Aldi has locations in so many places, they are taking over the world.
OKAY!!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad i'm not Australian :(
Good thing is,here in Holland they have Aldi stores too :) I just hope that they will be sold here too...
a hooded towel, for real!? why would you need that? a towel with a crotch part would be nice but why a hood X)
ReplyDeletelols whats that with im not aussie so no aldi? aldi is german, lots of country's have an aldi, its like lidl lol. also im dutch :p. aldi and lidl are supermarkets. its just a grocery store where you can get meat, bread, chips... all kinds of foods. also they change weekly on non-food products...... like hooded towels xD
ReplyDelete@Dantes_Grill It's from Aldi so you don't ask questions ;)
ReplyDelete@Ten so many questions unanswered, it will be a tough night =P
ReplyDeleteThe Towel, eh. But the Bedding Cover, Impressive. I like both.
ReplyDelete-Ranger L.-
Lament having a queen size bed.
ReplyDeleteRemember that I have epic sewing skillz.
Buy one and modify that sucker to fit.
Awwwwww Yyyyeeeaaaahhhhh!!!!
If I had the money, I would buy the second one. I am sure my friends would not make fun of me or anything. Ahahaha. But no if I was about one half my size, and had the money, I would buy the bed stuff.
ReplyDeleteDoing the Christmas shopping thing tonight and saw the hooded towels at Big W for just under $12. They only measure 60x60cm, and the fabric does seem quite thin and cheap though.
ReplyDeleteWait, really? You people haven't heard of hooded towels? I had one when I was like four. (That was nearly 30 years ago, for those keeping score.) They're not in any way new or lazy. It's just a fun thing for kids to play with.
ReplyDelete@BronyBraeburn
ReplyDeleteHow the hell does Austrailia get better stuff than we do in the US?
