ReplyDelete1) Happy New Year Everyone! You know Pinkie would through the best New Year's Eve party, filled with bright, happy ponies like this. Great image.
2) It's the lighting on this one that makes it so special... very dramatic looking.
3) A beautiful setting and nice brushwork on a somewhat bedraggled Fluttershy. She reminds me of my beloved pup after she gets a bath.
4) A funny image in an outstanding comic style. I love the looks of the ponies, and especially Spike's disapproval.
5) This is a very charming image... both characters look adorable, and I like how the sky reflects the ponies' colors.
6) A wonderful flowing, painterly look to this Luna/Nightmare Moon work. Really lovely in design and execution.
7) I bro-hoofed her on my monitor. I'm not too proud to admit it.
8) A fun idea, with lots of details to examine. Nice job on the town below as well... I found Derpy.
9) I would love it if we ever got a flashback (or even a current day) scene in the show of the Princesses being epic together like this.
10) I'm enjoying the team-up images of these two stringed instrument ponies. The electric lyre is pretty funny.
11) Nice to see Applejack in action in tradtional media.
12) I like the background design for this Twilight. She has a unique style.
13) An interesting collection of aspects of Pinkie, again in a traditional medium.
14) I'm not familiar with the crossover, but I like the dark Dash with only her hair lit.

16) Heh... "Scrunchy face" Sweetie Belle is excellent, as is any scene between the two sisters. Nice job all around.
17) I think he would give good little boys and girls coal. Already flaming coal. Nice portrait.

19) Twist is obviously celebrating all of the bits she made off of candy canes in the holiday season.

ReplyDeleteIt's from Disneylands Haunted Mansion ride. When you first go in and stand inside the elevator with pictures above surrounding everyone in and supposedly as the elevator goes does the pictures get longer as well showing the full picture. #20 begins as a sad women holding an umbrella but as it gets longer its turns into her standing on a tightrope with alligators below her.
I demand the rest of the pictures!

#28: Twilight's pose here is great; it's nice to be able to just collapse and do absolutely nothing for a while.
#30: Decent coloring job on one of John Joseco's drawings; I just now noticed that that's apparently sea pony Bon Bon (?) in the background. Has she appeared as a sea pony in any other drawings?
#31: Beautiful drawing, with a wonderful use of lighting and shadow. Favorite of the night.
#34: Part of me thinks this should've been behind a saucy link, part of me thinks it's too much of an obviously-silly gag for that, and all of me loves what happened to the Royal Canterlot attire. Can't say I'm terribly fond of the idea of any pony's birthday party including drunken carousing while a pole dancer performs, but eh, as an occasional joke it doesn't really bother me.
#35: The sauciest drawing of Spitfire in quite a while (though I can't really say it needs a link), but it's a very nicely done drawing.
#38: Very nicely done drawing with some impressive animation, particularly Fluttershy's wings.

This was an awesome drawfriend! They just keep getting better and better. I ended up saving a bunch of these. I especially love the bottom one animated with Twilight, Princess Luna and Fluttershy with the falling snow. It's animated so beautifully and the snow looks so realistic! I'd use that as my screensaver if I could.
