#11: Sorta like giving a pea shooter to an Apache helicopter, don't you think?
#17: This is the first attempt to give Trixie a softer side that's really worked for me.
#19: It's such a simple portrait of Applejack, but there's something about it I really like. Or maybe it's just the way all the elements come together (background, color, posture, expression).
#21: A very upbeat portrait of the sun princess; I like it.
#25: An odd style, but I like it, and I love how freakin' happy Twilight is.
#27: Another really fun, cartoony pic; nice detail on Twilight's horn. My favorite for the night.
#28: These two would seem like they'd be good friends. I usually like pics of ponies sprawled on top of one another, and this is no exception.
#30: You do realize Twilight can use her magic to hit you with an even bigger snowball, right, Dash?

ReplyDelete1) What the hell did I wander in on? Seriously, Twilight, are you arguing fashion with Rarity? And did Fluttershy already snap his neck? Chaos comes home to roost, apparently. Funny image!
2) It's the last shadow Rainbow Dash ever sees.
3) I love how we all said "So that's how she does it" when the Party Cannon showed up. As if this huge thing coming out of nowhere to fire decorations makes it all so logical suddenly. Still, I can understand Pinkie's affection.
4) I feel like I'm missing a reference, but even so I like the graphic B&W look of stylin' Spike.
5) I thought those were dandelion seeds until I realized she was on the moon. Still a nice shower, I'm sure.
6) Canon Luna and bats go great together. How long do you think it took to train them to be a cloak?
7) I love images of Trixie performing. She's just so in her element. Nice simple style here.
8) Rarity *and* an aurora? And just after I was pining for one the other day? (An aurora, not Rarity. I pine for her daily, so that's no surprise.) Sweet.
9) I grew up in rainy Michigan. We need to launch some anti-depression medications into the upper atmosphere there, quickly.
10) I wonder if character models like Fleur are to help make it clear that the Princesses aren't all that far removed from regular ponies. I also wonder if Hasbro will notice the instant appeal she had and push the next generation of ponies to look more like her.
11) For when 1000 years on the moon is just too liberal of a solution, apparently. That's quite the prosthetic limb she's sporting there. Love the earring.
12) More sad ponies! Though this is Luna, and she's never been a ray of sunshine. So to speak. Nicely done.
13) I think you could work a few more bows on there, Fluttershy. Who gets to unwrap you?
14) That is way too cute of a Rarity drawing to have been crumpled up.

30) Poor Twilight gets no respect. Even Fluttershy trolled her endlessly in the first two episodes of the season. She needed Luna to watch her backside in this one. I gotta side with Dash though... it always is hilarious.
31) I thought that might be an Adventure Time thing. A very noodley unicorn. Great colors in this one!
32) It is impressive to see people put those together out of simple shapes. Poor Applejack looks a bit carsick though.
And let me say, banner-wise, that Santa has the best sack of presents ever this year.

ReplyDeleteTrue, but we did have a great comparison of their respective OCDs in "Winter Wrap Up". Rarity is happy working from organized chaos but demands perfection in the final product, getting hung up on trying to fix Twilight's nest all day long.
Meanwhile Twilight perfectly lined up and organized every twig and ribbon by size before she started to build the nest, and then was satisfied (at first) when she had produced a vaguely nest-shaped result.
It would seem that Twilight is all about how you tackle the task, and Rarity is all about the result. I would not want to be the one working side by side with the two of them on something.
Wow, this is my 2nd Drawfriend. It's still a shock.

4th Doctor, Tom Baker, actually. I think his episodes were what hooked most of the American fans in the '80s. (He was also David Tennant's favorite Doctor as a child, years before he became the Tenth Doctor and, thus, forever linked with MLP:FiM via Doctor Whooves.)
