For some reason, I'm staring at #20 and it's making me feel... happy. Something about it seems to have the ability to make me feel... calm, at peace, happy and also rather tired. Maybe it's the sunset of the background, I don't know. Whatever it is is making that picture beautiful.

ReplyDelete#4: All 6 in this series are terrific, but I think the Twilight drawing is the best. I just adore heavily stylized, slightly symbolic representations of the characters.
#5: Terrific color and shading on this drawing of sad Apple Bloom.
#5: Luna is just way too cute here, with that wild smile, spread wings, and enthusiastic hug; Pip's embarrassment is cute too.
#8: The wet-mane Celestia from two nights ago had a more appealing expression, but I do love how the artist has her mane "pooling" at her hooves here.
#9: Funny enough drawing, though I think the commentary's a wee bit harsher than I would have done.
#12: Great expression and pose for Pinkie Pie in this seasonal drawing.
#13: I love the relaxed atmosphere of this nighttime scene; just a couple of friends hanging out and maybe doing a bit of studying...

#19: Let's try that again. Completely unexpected crossover, yet it does make a certain amount of sense. I'm guessing the ponies don't know of Him's true nature, though, considering how cheerful and relaxed they look.
#20: Yes, yes, flipped tail and blank flank, but it's still a nice drawing in a very appealing style.
#21: Dash just oozes attitude here. Terrific character portrait.
#23: He did color it; yay! This is just way too silly and way too cute, which is a great combination.

ReplyDeleteEven though I really don't have the time (or stamina) to comment on them all right now, I did want to say that #9 sums up my feelings for Luna quite well (though perhaps not in such a heavy-handed fashion; it did make me chuckle though), #14 garners all my d'aaawwws (and is beautifully painted to boot!) and #19 is all my love--two of my all-time favorite animated characters in one fanart, mwee! I have to say I've been wondering the very same thing, in regards to your comments on #14 that is; for such an 'uncommon' pairing I feel as though I've been seeing an awful lot of it lately (not that I'm really complaining). I know I did see one Rarijack fanart where the artist said they were inspired by a picture that ended up being one of mine, but still... it's rather hard for me to believe that I alone could have so much influence on the collective fandom. ^^;
Anyway though, very lovely Drawfriend all-around. You all rock~ <3
