I've seen a construction site, engine train, and a siren. But I don't think their technology is advanced enough to have an iPad! Seeing ponyville obtain so much technological stuff is like reading the fanfic "gaming ponies" or whatever it was called. The one with the ponies playing xbox and stuff!
Pinkie Pie: Hey guys! I modified my party cannon to shoot snowballs now! And look how much bigger I made it! This baby can shoot boulders the size of Mount Rushmare!
#1 Lmao. And then Sweetie Belle was toast. I guess her special talent is being toast. lol Actually, she looks like a Sweetie Belle sandwich. I wonder what ingredients she has. o_O
#2 Haha, oh Twilight. "Today Pinkie Pie taught me how to make snowballs!" Much to the dismay of Celestia. :P
2. LOL...everybrony should put artwork on this site because on deviantart it takes like 5 minutes just for me to load a comic since i have a slow phone but ill manage
Inkydonkey's comic is great! I especially like that Princess Celestia is drinking out of her sister's "#1" mug. 8^D Is it Inkydonkey's Discord that was used by the Hub for the Naughty vs Nice round robin? These Tumblrs confuse me.
@twohuman I think comics, as a medium for social commentary, cast a wider net than fanfiction. The iPad is a wink at the "there's a pony for that" advert all the while making a pun on the term "toast". If this were a script or story board for a future episode of MLP:FIM you could easily see both the toaster and the arc-welder axed as straying too far from the low tech "feel" of the show. But comic =/= episode script.
#1: Nice art and amusing punchline, but Pinkie was definitely the highlight of the comic.
#2: I've mentioned my fondness for Briskby's art before, but even considering that, this is one of my favorite pony comics I've seen so far. Great poses and expressions, and a clever gag delivered perfectly. The letter is icing on the cake. (And I think the mug actually is Celestia's; why wouldn't she have a mug saying Luna is #1?)
@Timber For comics or certain fanfics, sure; but for the show, I prefer the low-tech vision that Lauren Faust has for Equestria. (Toasters, I think, would be fine, though the one Pinkie's building might be a bit extreme...)
@DashAttack Actually, I think it's much more likely than Celestia will respond in kind. Which means there's a snowball being sent from Canterlot with Twilight Sparkle's name on it. (And probably one for Spike too.)

I love the snowball to Celestia's face so much. Sorry, Princess.
ReplyDeleteHaha, both were great. :3
ReplyDelete#1 This was just one of the crusaders teaming up with Pinkie Pie. I don't know if I'd welcome or fear a collaboration between all of them.
ReplyDelete#2 Oh man. Princess Celestia definitely must not have seen that one coming. Ouch!
"Dear Princess Celestia,
ReplyDeleteToday Pinkie Pie taught me how to make SNOWBALLS!!
Your fateful student, Twilight Sparkle."
Dragon mail snowball. They should so totally do that in the show.
ReplyDeletetwi's now thinking with portals.

ReplyDeleteHahaha, win.
Snowball! That made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteSNOWBALLS!
ReplyDeleteWe missed a snowball fight in Winter Wrap Up, so I sincerely hope we get to see one soon.

ReplyDeleteNewspaper on the ground reads: Pink menace with snow cannon!

1 And then the pigeons came after her, the end.
ReplyDelete2 lol
@twohuman why not? They have concrete dams that I'm going to assume are hydroelectric. Why not iPads?
ReplyDelete1. I dont get it

ReplyDelete2.a wet message from your student can make you lose hope.

ReplyDeleteYes, it was her art they were using, but it looks like they're finally using some official art now.
# lol wtf?
ReplyDeleteinb4 Twilight is banished to Equestria's ice caps.
ReplyDeleteTwilight's cutie mark is backwards.
ReplyDelete@DashAttack

poweder toast mare?
ReplyDeleteI could totally see Pinkie and Sweetie Belle doing that 8D
ReplyDeleteThe look on Celestia's face is perfect!
ReplyDelete#2 is excellent; poor old Celestia, not a winter pony (those castles can get very drafty and it takes ages to warm up all that stone!).
ReplyDeleteHmmm - based on the change in day length summer->winter, I guess that makes Luna a big fan of the winter (assuming Equestria has an axial tilt)!
1. Oh.... oh my.
ReplyDelete2. Short, but satisfyingly sweet!
