Who wants a calendar?! That's a rhetorical question, everyone wants a calendar. How else would you know what day it is?
Purple Tinker has sent along news that the 2012 Brony Calendar is now for sale. You can see example images from the product above, which features the work of many, many big artists in the fandom such as Egophiliac, John Joseco, and PixelKitties. More information and pricing details can be found here.
These calendars will also be available at BroNYCon January 2012, if you're going to that event like all the cool kids are. Hence, you won't see me there! Ha. But seriously, they'll be there too, if you don't want to order right now.

ReplyDeleteMarch and July are looking fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till October comes, and i'll wake up every morning to Pinkazoid!!
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm gonna be at BroNYCon, might as well. Though whatever I save on shipping will probably be used on the subway. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be breaking the forth wall that day
ReplyDeleteDamn, I bought that fast....wow!
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum I dread the day when I'll have to switch to November.
ReplyDeleteDrat you pilgrim ponies and buffalo, making me miss out on some excellent Pink-out.
Aw, shame I already got a calender from RoosterTeeth, oh well
ReplyDeleteAnd this is about when I wish I had an income, so I could afford to buy silly little things like this. xD
ReplyDeleteErm...well, I might buy it, though fifteen dollars is a bit pricey.
ReplyDeleteGrr why can't I be in New York Dx
ReplyDeleteAre the artists getting compensated?
ReplyDelete@Akira Reimei
ReplyDeleteOf course. They contributed to this willingly.
Going to order one as soon as I get my salary O.O
ReplyDeleteToo many OC's for my personal tastes, though those involving just the canon characters are awesome.
ReplyDeleteSHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Definitely will look into getting one of these.
ReplyDeleteYes I got May! I'm so happy, that's the month my little sister was born. :)
ReplyDelete@Tsitra, nice art.
ReplyDeleteHmm, seems like there should be more Holiday-themed pieces for certain months. But other than that, I like it. And yay, Lyra and Bonbon the month of my birthday. <3
ReplyDeleteThis is so AWESOME!! More pony stuff for me to throw my money at.
ReplyDeleteOh, man! More things to tempt me into attending BroNYcon!
ReplyDeletei herd theres a diffirent calendar but humanized unless if im wrong here, i would still buy this if there isnt. :3
ReplyDeleteUmm..is this legal? technically MLP is owned by hasbro and selling a calendar with trademark characters in it....umm..this could end badly...
ReplyDeleteWoke up at 4 in the morning to go on a road trip. Decided to check EQD real fast, saw this, placed order.
ReplyDelete@Akira Reimei
ReplyDeleteI was asked nicely if they could include my artwork (March) and said yes. As these aren't being done for profit, I'm not being paid anything. It's my contribution to fandom and the convention.
Lovely jubely, think I will order myself one later ;)
ReplyDeleteNo one's making any money off of this. We wouldn't want to profit off of Hasbro's property!
ReplyDeleteIt was just a case of me saying, hey Tinker, why don't we do a calendar like the Homestuck people do? And she said, okay.
All the artists contributed work for no pay. I think it's just being printed by Cafepress.
I just bought the mass-produced one, but THIS is really what I was hoping for
ReplyDeleteW8 are they makeing money off of Hasbro's property this could be bad...
ReplyDeleteAs artists, we got together at Purple Tinker's kind behest, and contributed for no compensation.
ReplyDeleteIt's another way to help keep BroNYcon going and provide some super awesome swag to hang on our walls!
I don't like the images, but I like their manes.
ReplyDeleteNOPONY is making money off of these things (with the possible exception of the printers printing them), least of all myself. I'm selling them at cost; in fact, on each sale, I am taking a loss of a fraction of a cent so I don't OVERCHARGE by a fraction of a cent.
ReplyDeleteThis is a 100% not-for-profit effort and nopony is earning money off of it-- not me, not the artists.
This is a labour of love from the community to the community. Enjoy the art.
(Not to mention my time making and printing all the address labels, filling out customs forms, waiting in line in the Post Office, etc...)
ReplyDeleteTinker, possibly the hardest working pony in the fandom as ever. Giving a lot to all of us.
ReplyDeleteHmm. It seems pretty cool and all, but I think that some of the images doesn't fit in with the months they represent.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm just nitpicking here, but the last image should of at least been something representing Winter. The lighting makes it seem more like spring/summer than winter.
If I don't get a calendar for Christmas (which I suspect I have as I usually do and there is a suspiciously calendar-shaped package in my fiance's tree...yes in) then I will be buying this. Really like most of the images.
ReplyDeleteVery nice imeages.
ReplyDeleteThough I have my doubts about the September picture. It features some blatant shipping, and not everyone might be comfortable with having that hanging on their wall all month long.
December is art by my bro, Greyson! He is genius XD *embarrassing sister*
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me be a part of this :) (december)
ReplyDeleteDamn why must I live across the pond.....
ReplyDelete@illdobrony
ReplyDeleteHmms? *looks at September.. gets evil grin* Oh I am SOOOOO putting this in the lab office! *likes to out-wierd all the other biologists*
Wait for me at Bronycon, you delicious little object which I shall use to troll my co-workers! >:3
Thanks, Purple Tinker, for asking me to work on this fun and rewarding little project. She does an amazing job keeping our community awash in cool things- and she works incredibly hard to pull it all off. Everypony owes her tremendous thanks.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the nitpicks go, I am certain that anyone who feels they could put together a superior fan calendar is more than welcome to volunteer their own time, money, and resources to do so.
Me want calendar D:
ReplyDeleteI have ordered one because i Cant go to the bronycon. *sadface*
ReplyDeleteWell, now I'm kinda regretting buying that Evangelion calendar.
