VastaKustutaI'm seeing a lot of projecting going on. Whether projected on themselves, thinking it makes them a pedo, or projecting on others assuming that they're up to no good by subscribing. I think a lot of that has to do with personal feelings/fears about yourself and/or others. And making assumptions of that magnitude is never a good thing.
I think it's awesome to have a way to show our support and appreciation.
So, "CHAAARGE" is the "Anyone involved in MLP production, consider Bronies your personal army" tag? :p
VastaKustuta^^ Even if there may be some projection going on, the real reason is another one. We pretend we're a homogenous community but we're really not. This "fandom" comprises a lot of very different people who see very different things in the show. The common denominator are the ponies themselves. "Brony" therefore is really an umbrella term. And everyone is a bit afraid, and probably rightfully so, of others tarnishing that term.

Considering that the brony fandom started out on the /co/ board of 4chan and I personally learned of it on another section of that site which I can't talk about due to certain rules... I am not so sure that this is a good idea.
