Description: Twilight Sparkle has a lot of free time now that she isn't required to send a Friendship Report every week. So what's a bookworm like this unicorn supposed to do? Write a novel! Of course, writing is a bit more difficult than one might think!

A story that has writer's block in it. Irony, anypony/
VastaKustutaWoo! another thing to procrastinate with!
VastaKustuta*anypony?
VastaKustutaYay, Twilight! :P
VastaKustutaAnd yes, Bomb. I love the irony in that too.
Oh boy, does Twilight write a fic and accidentally get it sent to Celestia like in that one comic way back?
VastaKustutaA Pinkie Pie song? Well I-*shot*
VastaKustutaOh dear god this sounds exactly like somethign Twilight would do
VastaKustutathen fail horribly.
want want want
@Wizard Shy
VastaKustutaDon't crastinate in public.
I don't care if you ARE a professional.
Twi trying NaNoWriMo?
VastaKustutaWant.
Too bad I'm too busy with NaNoWriMo to read it right now :P
At first I was disappointed they didn't use the cover image I picked out for you.
VastaKustutaThen I realized this one was better.
Carry on. :D
(and good job on getting posted on EQD before me, Cros)
@SuperGiantRobot
VastaKustutaI can crastinate when and where I want to crastinate, damnit.
Also, I just read the story in ten minutes flat. Not much of an achievement, but I just realized how well that fit with the famous quote.
On an unrelated note, this story did not help with my own writer's block at all.
My first thought was "WHAT I LEARNED IN BOATING SCHOOL IS..." XD.
VastaKustutaSeriously though, this was a cute story. Especially with the impromptu musical number thanks to Pinkie.
Interestingly enough, I actually learned something from this fic. How to overcome writers block. Never would have thought of that technique.
Also, someone needs to write her story. Now.
oh joy this is going to be a barrel of fun
VastaKustutaChecklist for the checklist on how to write a novel.
VastaKustutaOh, wow. At first I was like "Where did all these people come from?" And then I was like *runs to EqD!*
VastaKustutaAnd then I Hnngh'd.
But seriously, thanks for posting this up, Cereal. Didn't expect it to be posted this fast; you guys process our fics fast!
Thanks to everyone for reading, too. Hope I either helped you with your writer's block or at least made you smile.
Also, this is just a taste of what I can write. This was pretty much an experiment in fun, more than a serious attempt.
Thank you, Celestia, for Daylight Savings Time!
VastaKustuta@Croswynd
VastaKustutaI can attest to that.
*cracks whip*
Now get back to writing that other thing! I want people to revel in your glory by the end of the month!
This felt really well done. I hope to read more from you...
VastaKustutaThis was a really fun story it makes me want to write something now but I don't know where to start.
VastaKustutaSo, guess who used this story to procastinate on her own NaNo novel?
VastaKustuta=D?
This was cute and super relatable...I think every author knows what it's like to combat writer's block.
VastaKustutaI wonder how Twilight's novel actually turned out? Knowing Twilight, it's probably high quality, but it would have been nice to read an excerpt or two of what she was writing.
dammit all. I'm entered in national novel writing month... I have so little time. Dammit, why did my procrastinating with pony fic have to go and remind me what I need to be doing. Arrrgh!
VastaKustutamust... go... type... words! 50,000 of them!
You nailed it with Twilight researching various obscure elements of anatomy etc to make the novel as accurate as possible.
VastaKustutaOn the whole, a good read.
A story about someone writing a story? Storyception!
VastaKustuta>Of course, writing is a bit more difficult than one might think.
VastaKustutaStory of my life right there.
Hey, Blogger people, why do I have to have a verification code for my comments?
VastaKustutaIf only it was as easy as an impromptu musical number.
VastaKustutamy nanowrimo crashed and burned on the reefs of real life in three days. {sob} Going to try to keep on with the story but I'll never make up the wordcount now...
VastaKustutaI hope Twilight does better on HER NaNoWriMo book then I'm doing on mine...
VastaKustutaWriters are uniquely qualified to speak of the matters of writer's block, aren't we? :P Great story, and a fun little read. I like the whole explanation of pruning feathers, it's so out of nowhere yet so Twilight to be curious.
VastaKustuta@StrangeNoise
VastaKustutaSame story here. First day I almost got what I needed for word count, second day absolutely no chance to write, third day absolutely no chance to write. That's when I gave up.
But what about the preening? Does Starch Westwind ever preen himself or not? I must know!
VastaKustutaWho else wants to read Twilight's story now?
VastaKustutaIt'd be like storyception.
Also, anyone know why we suddenly have to do these verification code things?
Very nice.
VastaKustutaGood read. Now I feel like writing something. (Where to start?)
VastaKustutaI liked it but the end didn't feel satisfactory. It felt like a shaggy dog story - I expected some sort of twist or something at the end.
VastaKustutaOh boy, where to start. I know exactly how Twilight feels in every case. In fact, I've been having a very hard time with writing anything in general. I think you just inspired me, thank you!
VastaKustutaAnything to help a fellow writer out, be it just a small smile or inspiration for their own ideas.
