• Pocket Ponies - Background Pony Edition

Who doesn't like pocket ponies? Nopony, that's who.

I'd print these out and stick them everywhere, but I'd probably get kicked out of my house like that one guy from reddit. Did you see that story? Crazy. My paranoia has been justified in that regard.

    Have the whole set here.

    1. Need to be mobile and show of your bronyness? There's a pocket pony for that! Yay, more pocket ponies!

    2. Heh, more ponies to put on motivational posters in my school.

    3. @Roman500

That is one of the greatest ideas ever imagined

Long story short, kid's mom went onto his computer one day and found ponies and bronies. She associates bronies with child molesters and they got into a fight. His parents in short kicked him out and disowned him. The police have nothing saying it's within in their right as parents. Child services also has done nothing. Thankfully, he found a place to stay at a friend's place. Simply ridiculous and unfortunately this level of abuse isn't uncommon in our world.

On a happier note, woot background pocket ponies! I just wish I had a printer and cardstock :P

    5. Oh man oh man oh man.

Love these things. I have them sticking out all over my binder. They look so nice.

Need to find some nice paper to print these and the Discorded ones out on. Especially now that there's Carrot Top.

    6. @Aesahaettr-
Love my parents, they really just don't care what i do as long as my grades are good and i keep myself employed.

    8. @Aesahaettr-
Holy crap, you can't be serious!

Who in their right mind is that ridiculously closed-minded, sexist, I don't even KNOW what words to use for this.

Sometimes stupidity just makes me want to scream.

As to the actual topic of this post though, pocket ponies are cute. I should print some.

      VastaKustuta
    9. Times like this I'm glad my roommate is pretty easygoing/never home. I figure since he didn't ask after the first dozen, I'm probably in the clear. Now if only his darn color printer would work!

      VastaKustuta
    10. Gonna be a hipster here.

I downloaded that image BEFORE it was posted on EQD. But yeah, I'm probably gonna end up making like a hundred copies of this, and sticking these fillies all over school.

      VastaKustuta
    11. Sooooooo... Do pocket ponies actually go in your pocket? For example, would it be acceptable to use a pocket pony in lieu of a pocket square for a suit jacket?

      VastaKustuta
    12. Time to anti-troll the haters.

      SUDDENLY...........PONIES!!

      EVERYWHERE!

      VastaKustuta
    13. Well, for all we know the story was made up. lol I still have some doubts about the whole fiasco myself. And honestly, it turning out to be fake would not surprise me in the slightest.

But on a happier note, I love these pocket ponies. :) Berry Punch is so starring up at that bottle of liquor you're drinking. ;)

      VastaKustuta
    14. @Stray Yep, it's serious. And completely ridiculous. I saw that he was from Texas, which explains it in my mind...cause I USE to talk to a few people online from Texas and the way they described their parents made them seem like the same close minded weirdos. (no offense to Texan bronies of course) But, I don't talk to them anymore because they turned out to be the same way and I got completely stabbed in the back...

any who, these are pretty neat. Too bad I haven't replaced my color cartridge yet...then again, maybe it IS a good thing because I would have so many cut outs stuck in random places around my place. lol

      VastaKustuta
    15. @SgtGarand

Texas... hehehe. You saw the Judge William Adams video? I guess that explains it then. In Texas, everyone's parents are assholes. XDDDDDDD just kidding of course

      VastaKustuta
    16. Excuse me, I don't like pocket po-*dart flies into neck*

      What the ffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-*

      VastaKustuta
    17. @Roman500

      Wait a sec...David?

      DAVID STOP DOING THIS

      VastaKustuta
    18. Not enough ink in the world to print as much pony as I would want to.

      VastaKustuta
    19. @Arki

      DON'T FUCKING ENCOURAGE HIM

      VastaKustuta
    20. @naahdude
      @naahdude

HAHAHA, dude what's goin on here? Ya know each other?

      VastaKustuta
    21. @Aesahaettr-
The worst part of this story is that the guy actually lives really close to me, not 45 minutes away, and I can't do anything to help.

      VastaKustuta
    22. time to put ponies in mah pocket :3

      VastaKustuta
    23. My printer got confused when I printed the other ponies. They were tiny, so I cut out strips of paper and put them on there. They're in my specified pony drawer.

      VastaKustuta
    24. Yay, glad y'all like em!
Next up will probably be Celestia New Luna and NMM at least :D

      VastaKustuta
    25. @WoodenToaster
I actually started drawing carrot top after listening to beyond her garden for a few hours straight! :D

      VastaKustuta
    26. @Stray

On that subject, If you had a kid and thought he was growing up to be, Well, THAT, What would you do? I doesn't sound like the fella told his parents hes into the show. I see obliviousness in the story, Not stupidity. Then again I like to avoid using the word "Stupid".

      VastaKustuta
    27. Forgive me, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that reddit story confirmed as FALSE (being copied and pasted from ANOTHER reddit story, only edited to involve ponies and bronies)?

I'm not saying I don't believe it, and my heart goes out to the poor kid regardless, but...still.

      VastaKustuta
    28. Shame on anyone who bought into that fake story. First of all, it's patently ludicrous to believe that parents can kick out their minor children, even in Texas. Section 261.001(4)(B)(iii) of the Texas Family Code (http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/FA/htm/FA.261.htm) clearly states that failure to provide shelter, food, etc., for a child (that's someone under 18) is NEGLECT. The police and CPS would not say "there's nothing we can do." Stop being so gullible!

      VastaKustuta
    29. @ponydoraprancypants

And yes, I am an attorney, and I do know what I'm talking about.

      VastaKustuta
    30. @SgtGarand

Protip: sticking "no offense" at the end of an offensive statement does not make it inoffensive.

Has it occurred to you that you're being just as much a "closed-minded weirdo" yourself by making such gross generalizations about all Texans based on a few encounters with jerks? I'm sorry you were hurt by your asshole friends, but that doesn't excuse your prejudice.

I've known a few people online who happened to be Dutch and also complete assholes. I don't assume that people from the Netherlands are just naturally more inclined to be assholes than people from any other country. You'll find narrow-minded idiots all over the world, not just in the places you've been told to expect them.

Anyway, as pointed out, the story's not even true. I suspect whatever attention whore came up with it chose Texas specifically because so many people assume that we're all a bunch of backwards rednecks down here, and will believe any crazy thing we're accused of.

tl;dr: Stereotypes are not cool and make me an angry pony.

      VastaKustuta
    31. @Epesi

No wait, he's saying Texan PARENTS are assholes...Oh wait that's kinda the same thing.

And the stories not even true?! This whole time, I've been worried over nothing! Everything's fine and cool and shit.

Anyway, yeah, yknow I wasn't being serious on my comment, just joking, so please don't kill me. Sorry. XD

But seriously, was it really just a lie? How did they prove it?

      VastaKustuta
    32. @ponydoraprancypants
As I've established, I live in the same area as this guy. I had my cell phone stolen in 7th grade, costing my family over $200 within two days of it being gone. After a brief look through my bills I found a couple of numbers that the guy called. Later, after discontinuing my SIM card and replacing my phone, I got a text from one of those numbers asking me if I was "Dylan C." A brief look through the middle school address book confirmed that a Dylan C. did indeed go to my school. However, after telling this to the police, they said that my evidence was "too obtuse." Texas cops are shit, so I wouldn't deny this guy's story so quickly.

      VastaKustuta
    33. @AspenOnFire

So, because the police rejected your flimsy evidence and you're still bitter about it, you think it's totally plausible that they would ignore the fact that it is illegal to turn a 15-year-old out on the street just to be dicks. And what about the CPS?

Wait a minute...oh my god, you're right! This one time, a Texas cop gave me a traffic ticket and I totally didn't deserve it! I had to go sit through six hours of Defensive Driving, which was a total bummer! Therefor, all Texas cops are evil, therefor, the story is true!

Stop letting your personal prejudice cloud your logic. That's exactly what the alleged victim's alleged parents did by allegedly assuming bronies are pedophiles. Everybody is so busy raging at the injustice of that that they don't see the hypocrisy.

      VastaKustuta
    34. @Epesi

      Wat? dude, calm down man.

Again, there is no proof that this story is untrue. If you have any, tell us.

      VastaKustuta
    35. @DeRockProject

I don't need to calm down; I'm quite calm. I am angry, yes, but not irrational.

"No proof that it's untrue" does not equal "is definitely true despite strong evidence to the contrary". Why do you demand proof of me and not of the kid spreading the story around?

And what is the evidence? I'll quote ponydoraprancypants, all of six comments up: Section 261.001(4)(B)(iii) of the Texas Family Code (http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/FA/htm/FA.261.htm) clearly states that failure to provide shelter, food, etc., for a child (that's someone under 18) is NEGLECT. The police and CPS would not say "there's nothing we can do."

Now, if somebody can prove to me that this kid is telling the truth, I will apologize profusely and send him a care package or something. I'm not saying that the story itself is entirely implausible; yes, there are some terrible people in this world who would do something like this. I would probably believe it myself, even without evidence that it was true, if there weren't strong evidence that it is not. The part about the police and CPS doing nothing about it is the chink in his armor.

It might not sound like it from my comments here, but I'm fairly gullible, naive and optimistic. I always try to see the best in people. I am quick to trust, and it hurts when that trust is betrayed. This story is somewhat personal to me on multiple levels, so it pushes my buttons. I'm sorry if I've come across as an angry jerk as a result.

I still stand by everything I said, however.

      VastaKustuta
    36. @Epesi

Alright ya. Sorry. I believe you now. And ya, I don't want ya to be angry, yknow. Who knows? It's viable evidence to be skeptical about this thing, but it's not decisive. Did you talk about this in the reddit page? Did they say anything?

      VastaKustuta
    37. @DeRockProject

      Thanks. :)

I'm not on reddit, and I don't think I want to get into this there. Probably shouldn't have got into it here, either. It's not my fight, so I'm just going to try to leave it alone now.
