I've been computer building all day if you were wondering about the lack of updates. Everything is set up and ready though! I'll start working through email in a few minutes, the roundup will probably be really late unfortunately, but that's the price of taking a break from EQD!
Have some quick PMV's. I'm really liking that first one, a lot, in fact,
YOU NEED TO WATCH IT.
1.) The Stars Will Aid In Her Escape (Cosmic Love)
2.) Dissida PMV

Hey Look. It's Appie Pie. Forever!
ReplyDeleteSecone cred? more PMVs are always nice.
ReplyDeleteOuch, l2 spell second there me...
ReplyDeleteThat … was amazing
ReplyDeleteLove the use of Florence and the Machine in the first one! Such a good combo!
ReplyDeleteIm here early!
ReplyDeleteThat first PMV Made me cry. Because that song has a lot of significance in my life. Good and bad memories T^T
ReplyDeleteCredit where credit is due, that first one was simply fantastic. Phenomenal editing right there.
ReplyDeleteThere should be more like #1
ReplyDelete#1 was amazing, absolutely fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteThe first video should have got a one spot
ReplyDeleteThat first video is amazing which makes it all the more baffling to see how it didn't get its own post.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap....... That first one.......
ReplyDeleteS-so aweaome......... /)^3^(\
i almost started crying when Nightmare smashed the elements.....
This is NOT good!!!
Even though I love that pmv T-T
I don't usually comment on things; but when I do its because of an incredibly well edited PMV! I'm going to watch it again now.
ReplyDeleteIm just going to post before I watch them. I already know that their good. Rainbow Dash said so.
ReplyDeletenumbedr 1 was aaamazing
ReplyDeleteLol, I didn't realize Dissidia was a Final Fantasy thing, and between the way it's misspelled if you actually watch it on youtube and the first couple images I saw before turning the sound on, I thought it was a weird term for Discord/Celestia shipping.
ReplyDeleteThe first video was so amazing I cried :')
ReplyDeleteAnd yet i feel the need to say that it was so amazing. *.*
ReplyDelete#1 was amazing!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what manner of game Seth is making a comp for >:3
ReplyDelete#1 Great editing. TERRIBLE song. Got all that from the first 30 seconds.
ReplyDelete# I'm not sure what I just saw, but I enjoyed it.
@Meep
ReplyDeleteTHE GOD DAMN SKYRIMS
Sweet Celestial Sassafras.
ReplyDeleteThat was the most amazing thing.
#1 was, no joke, the best editing I've ever seen in a PMV. The entire sequence after Twilight charged Nightmare Moon was brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHeh, was going to take a guess at Skyrim...would appear I was right. Freakin one more day...and I have to work.
ReplyDeleteBut anyways, #1 was very well done. Maybe not my taste for music, but leave it to Ponies to make me listen anyways xD
The first one was brilliant. I tip my hat to the maker.
ReplyDeleteThat first PMW was spectacular.
ReplyDelete#1 Accidentally all my money.
ReplyDeleteSo I watched the first vid like you asked, and in order:
ReplyDeletemy heart imploded
my brain exploded
and my soul was utterly smothered in friendship.
"sniff" and i said i wasn't going to cry. ;_;
The best PMV that i've ever seen. Amd that's saying something!!
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder, though.......if Seth is taking this long of a break just preparing for Skyrim, then just what will happen when the game actually comes out?! (please, PLEASE be another Phoe takes over day! Not Cereal, he's too big of an Elder Scrolls addict, from what i've heard from the Q&Neigh)
I really wanna learn how to edit video so I can try my hand at a proper Dissidia/FiM crossover video. There are so many analogs between Celestia/Cosmos and Discord/Chaos and their crews it's not even funny.
ReplyDeleteHell, I'm fairly well convinced that MLP: FiM is actually just a Dissidia cycle, and Cosmos and Chaos decided to mix it up a bit for a change. That, of course, would mean that Lauren Faust is Cid of the Lufaine and Jayson Thiessen is Shinryu, but hey, it all works out.
#1 was very well done - Song became a bit chaotic though...
ReplyDelete#2 Was also good - Shoulda continued with the voice though - I like how it was going through all the villans, then displayed Fluttershy pwning the bear - Heh heh heh :p
#1 I guess I'll just reiterate what many have already said. This one was pretty well done. Editing and effects were good. Song was nice and the video matched it well.
ReplyDelete#2 Hmm, never played Dissidia myself, but this video wasn't too bad.
Hey Seth, out of curiosity can you link your computer build? I'm building one myself too and want to compare.
ReplyDeletehttp://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
The first one. Send my thanks and love to them!!! Oh please!!!
ReplyDeleteCosmic love PMV was epic, I've always loved that song, and the editing was amazing!
ReplyDeleteClearly, a whole lot of effort went into the first video. I just wish the song itself was a bit more intelligible.
ReplyDeleteThat first video... manly, manly tears. I'd always imagined that the "Friending" of Nightmare Moon involved a lot more than just a magic kablammo, with some sort of internal soul-to-soul interaction between Twilight and her friends and Nightmare Moon to overcome a thousand years of jealousy and hatred. This video managed to convey that unseen moment so well.
ReplyDeleteWell i have been totally out did by the first video.
ReplyDelete#1 is THE best PMV I have ever watched. Rate, Comment, Subscribe!
ReplyDeleteI loved the first one. It really was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could watch all these PMVs. Almost every single one is blocked here in Germany ;_;
ReplyDeleteSomeone upload it to dailymotion or something!
@Sethisto
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah!!!! As Kool Aid would say.
Luckily I made mine a month in advance >:3
Can't wait for Skyrim...with PONIES!!!
The first PMV was the most amazing PMV, this is how you make an PMV. The first time I saw it, I got chills and I felt and emotional response. Its highly recommended for everybrony.
ReplyDeleteThe second one wasn't as good as the amazing first but I like the idea nontheless.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to make ponified versions of all the Dissidia characters. Nao.
Le gasp!
ReplyDeleteExdeath is a tree.
Fluttershy is a tree.
Fluttershy is Exdeath!
I don't get PMVs...
ReplyDeleteI don't get AMVs...
I barely get music videos in general. It better be a damn good, custom music video or a montage.
The first one had me in tears. Wow. Just wow. So beautiful. That one's going in the favourites.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally take the time to comment, but that first video was, hands down, the best PMV I've seen. While the second one wasn't bad, it was kind of like any video game ever played after Ocarina of Time, just kind of a disappointment.
ReplyDelete#1...thats why Twiluna exsists and shall always exsist
ReplyDelete<3
Just.... Wow!!! First is GREAT!
ReplyDeleteThe first one was probably the best PMV I have seen so far. . .
ReplyDeleteFor folks in Germany who have the Youtube link blocked to the first vid, here's a Vimeo link for ya.
ReplyDeletehttp://vimeo.com/31853633
Thanks for all the love!
The first one moved me. But I'm an emotionless bastard, so that could be just sleep deprivation. That or ponies are really screwing with my mind.
ReplyDeletePonies and Dissidia...
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
I stand corrected.
ReplyDeleteNumber two was BO-RING!!!
sorry to the maker but I almost fell asleep to it soooo yeah.
Thanks a lot for the link for germans :D
ReplyDeleteF*ck. It's really good. It's f*cking good. This is what you call good. No, not good. Perfect.
ReplyDelete#1.
ReplyDeleteIf you've never had a video move you like this has, it's because you've never witnessed perfection before.
@Bryan
ReplyDeleteIf I could like a comment your's would be it. XD
Aha! I went to subscribe after watching the first one, only to see that I already was (and I only have something like 3 YouTube subscriptions.) I love this posters other videos (Discord Days, Pink Party Pandemonium, etc) and was eagerly awaiting the next new one. It certainly didn't disappoint!
ReplyDeleteWow. That first one was EPIC! Can't give it enough praise for the most perfect blend of emotion and story telling in a pmv. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteSecond vid was nice, but that first one was just...just...wow. 0_o
ReplyDeleteYeah. Take notes, class. That is how you PMV.
1 = EPIC PMV
ReplyDeleteDidn't I send you guys my dissdia audio-swap videos, you know the ones with Discord as Chaos and Luna as Cloud of Darkness?
ReplyDeleteOh wow that was incredible!
ReplyDeleteI normally don't watch 95% of the PMVs posted here, but gave this one a shot because of the large red lettering telling me I had to watch it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly did not disappoint. In fact, it's one of, if not the best edited PMV i've seen. The Samurai Applejack one is a close second.
Whoa damn that 1st one.
ReplyDeleteThe first one was indeed very good.
ReplyDelete1# Finally someone made a pmv using that song! And a really good one too.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think they could make that ending with the Epic Rainbow be any more awesome.
ReplyDeleteToday, I was proven wrong.
#1 Is possibly the best PMV I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteSoooo, Vimeo took down the vid for TOS violation. German Bronies will have to sit tight, I'll get a download up.
ReplyDeleteThanks mandarinorange, I thank you so much!
ReplyDelete#1... Manly tears.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so amazing
ReplyDeleteI don't even

ReplyDeleteIf you manage to put up a download-link to that video, your my hero for today!
(And if Skyrim doesn't get delivered tomorrow, your also my hero of tomorrow! Otherwise the mailman will get that title :P )
Wow, that first video, just wow, I've haven't cried in years but I just sat here and cried today, amazing work, confound these ponies, they drive me to cry :)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.multiupload.com/XD2ARBD2IO Download link for Cosmic Love is up. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletethey were both some of the better PMV's out there, they were great.
ReplyDeleteSrsly #1 is probably the best PMV I've seen. The emotion of the song along with the editing, just amazing.
ReplyDelete#1-I still got a knot in my throat. Simply amasing.... perfection beyond 20% cooler! O.o Seamless lip synching?... part way through... almost impossible synchronous from two completely different medias. You've really done your homework! Bravo!!! That should of had its own post! Seth you need to do that for this video.
ReplyDelete#2- I was impressed there.... not often you get Ponies mixed with Final Fantasy. Everything seemed executed well and the scenes... remarkably... followed through with the story in the audio. Well done.
Blegh.... you all are lucky... getting your copy of Skyrim when it comes out.... I have to wait till monday. **cries** My work schedule sucks. 12 hrs tomorrow, Sat, and Sun.
You know... I think its odd, I just had my computer rebuilt.... Older am2 lanParty board, Phenom tri core, 8 gigs of DDR2 6800 ram D-Channel , 2tb internal HDD and 2tb External HDD, HD Radeon 6770{1GDDR5}, Auzentek X-Meridian 7.1 with the upgraded amplifies.... and I just use it to run 3 steam games and look at PMV's and EPS my fav show on EQ daily/Pony Archive... and for when Fighting is Magic comes out as well as the few other Pony games.
Thought about Skyrim for the PC but the computer isn't up to par running the game o.o? so I settled for the Special Edition version of the game on the PS3.... AN DEN I GET DA DRAGUN OF MUH VERY OWN SO I CIN PET HIM AND SQUEEZE HIM AND LOVE HIM AND.... and.... uhh where was I.... Oh gonna name him spike. I hope he isn't some goofy looking Saurian cause if he is..... ebay time!
Second half was all useless info.....Derp :S
Even then. Good job on he PMV's. First one is the best!!!
#1 - I'm glad that others have the same appreciation for this song and the emotions that it has.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even jealous, just warmed that someone got this song made onto EqD whereas I could not give it the quality it deserved. my pmv of this is paltry in comparison, but that's alright because we're all made under the same...
...cosmic love.
-Will not apologize for horrendous pun
Master, teach me to edit like that! *bows in unworthness*
ReplyDeleteIt was a great great start to #1 and when you got Twilight to sing the song word for word in the 2nd verse, I was blown away. Such subtle effect turned into a masterpiece... and it doesn't hurt that I love Florance + the Machine.
I truly am not worthy.
I might be nitpicky but did I notice a version of teeth that don't exist in horses, last I checked canines are only in omnivores and carnivores. Still good pic otherwise and music is nice XD
ReplyDeletethe melb/vic bronies are #1
ReplyDeleteHow good is #1?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to tie up my crappy DSL connection for 50+ minutes downloading the .wmv at the download link provided by @mandarinorange.
Good song and awe-inspiring editing.
Dat #1 video...
ReplyDeleteI find it funny that something that the best pmv of all time is next to something that looks like it was made in movie maker.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the second PMV because it is a very solid PMV but it cannot compare to the only PMV that has made me cry and has elicited a reaction like that.
ReplyDelete#1 is absolutely fantastic beyond all belief. I have no words.
1. There are not enough words to discribe why this is amazing...
ReplyDelete2. I need to play this game.
The whole of number one was absolutely amazing, but the bit which really got me was filly Twi at the start. With all the bits of comic relief taken away from that scene, Twilight just looks incredibly scared, and the part where Celestia rescues her from her powers is really affecting.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, great execution, incredibly powerful, would say maybe it's the absolute high watermark for PMVs, but I would have said that about the Wu Tang video before and now here we are.
"The Stars Will Aid In Her Escape" is easely one of the best PMVs ever made. Beautiful.
