VastaKustutaNormally I don't like the PMVs with heavy special effects because they're usually using them to make up for deficiencies in other areas. This one conveys a story sorta well regardless of that, so thumbs up.
It was going pretty good until that guy started singing.
VastaKustutaPersonally, I think "Burn It Down" would be a better idea for a PMV

VastaKustuta@Kaijyuu See and I kinda like the heavy special effects if they're synced up right. PMV's that are basically just clips taken from the show with music in bg just aren't worth watching to me. It's gotta have some work in it, and more the better. That said, take note, if you're going to try and lip sync stuff it either has to be perfect or not done at all. Pet peeve, but watching the mouth just flap away completely unrelated (but trying to be) just looks terrible.

I love AWOL Nation, but this is honestly my least favorite of their songs. The singing in the is awful and the static background wash is so lame.

Omg.. You guys are driving me nuts... AWOLNATION is just one guy! He does it all! Singing, music, the videos to go with them, his album art, and marketing...
VastaKustutaAlso, I am in love with Rainbow Sail.
The video was great, the song is awesome, but the two of them put together isn't good at all. The song is much darker than anything MLP could ever be. Putting Rainbow Dash with that song is just unfitting at the very least. One of the best parts of the original video for "Sail" was how well it conveyed the song with it's few cryptic lyrics.

Today is a good day.
Would love to see someone make a good PMV of Voltaire's song 'Riding A Black Unicorn Down The Side Of An Erupting Volcano While Drinking From A Chalice Filled With The Laughter Of Small Children', but at the same time, even with fantastic editing skills, I don't know if thats possible.

VastaKustutaEditing was really nice! Though in all honesty I was expecting Setting Sail, Coming Home from the Bastion soundtrack, but regardless I still enjoyed this PMV.

Nice. I had been wondering where all the good amv makers had gone from conventions. This is more proof that they have been making PMVs.
VastaKustutaThe only other music video of "Sail" that approaches this level of awesomeness would have to be Jeb Corliss wingsuiting off a cliff and coming within four feet of ending his life in "Grinding the Crack". So began my love for AWOLnation.
VastaKustutaI see. Definitely worthwhile it is! At Mercurial: I'm sure even that would have a tough time making it to the same league as this.
