GabuEx has released a new fifteen minute video demonstrating the upcoming My Little Investigations game. For the Phoenix Wright fans out there, this is a pretty awesome one to follow. Not only is he ponifying the entire concept of the game, but he's also taking specific aspects of it and improving them.
If you want to follow the progress on the game directly, check otu his new dev blog.
Everyone else, check the video out after the break!

ReplyDeleteCalsan, you're a noob.
ReplyDeleteI really, really, really can't wait for this game to come out.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a good game, especially since it has ponies in it! Im not much of a Pheonix Wright fan, but the fact that he/she is improving certain aspects of it (along with ponies) means that "It's going to be so AWESOME!!
ReplyDelete@Calsan You do relize that just because your comment, which only says "First!", happens to be the first on this, doesn't mean that you were the first one to view this, right? I could have beaten you if I really wanted to, but instead I chose to make an elongated, relevant to what is in the post comment.
ReplyDeleteThe way they talk reminds me of old NES game
ReplyDeleteFor anyone looking for the dev blog: http://mlidevdiary.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteSo much anger coming from one word... I can't recall ever seeing so much anger at a "first" comment, especially in this community. Anyway, it is in fact possible to come back after seeing the video and make a relevant comment.
ReplyDeleteI've played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and loved it. With ponies involved, and based on the video, good work done on the game, I see no reason this won't be a great game. I am looking forward to playing it!
@Calsan
ReplyDeleteMaybe because "first" posts are spam? Ever think of that? Doesn't help that you pretty much admitted that you posted it solely to spam.
She ate all the licorice too!? For Shame Pinkie!
ReplyDeleteCALLED SCOOTALOO A HIM U BAD PONY
ReplyDeletekewl moa ponies :D
ReplyDeleteLast Demo? So, that must mean this is coming out soon. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI lost it when Twilight broke Pinkie Pie.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it possible for her to be caught by logic.
Wow, that person sure works fast. That vector of nervous Pinkie caught in a lie just came out last week didn't it? Kudos.
ReplyDelete@Dublio yup
ReplyDeleteLooks great, this reminded me of that FiM-Ace Attorney crossover series somebody put up on Youtube about a month back. Still only one episode for that though, hope he'll continue it.
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh!
ReplyDeleteJeez Loise this was intense. I was very psyched about this. It's coming along very well. I'm no Ace Attorney fan but this has definitely increased my interest. Both the game AND that one crossover video.
ReplyDeleteLast game-play demo? So this will be out soon? Can. Not. Wait.
Awesome, so many great games being developed!
ReplyDeleteOMG! i want this game so bad. XD i love mystery stuff and this game looks incredible
ReplyDelete>Pry the truth out of him.
ReplyDeleteScootaloo is now a colt.
Alright GabuEx! I know I'm going to love this game!
ReplyDeleteSo... it's like L.A. Noire mixed with My Little Pony?
ReplyDeleteDO WANT
@DeRockProject You should check your email.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Phoenix Wright with ponies! :D
ReplyDelete*her
ReplyDeleteI want this so much.
ReplyDeletegive. Us. THe DEmo. NOW!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen...?
ReplyDeletein the mane six game Twilight should play like Phoenix Wright lol
ReplyDeleteAny Logic features?
ReplyDeleteNAUGHTY NAUGHTY
ReplyDeleteHm, Ghost Trick music fits well with Investigations stuff.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense seeing as both games were made by the same people.
I'm glad this guy's using music from a variety of sources to keep things varied.
(I just noticed that I always comment on the music in these, don't I?)
Loved the bit at the end with Pinkie Pie!
I really, really can't wait for this, and now that I know it's close, I'm all hyped!
ReplyDelete"Time to strike while the iron's hot."
ReplyDeleteI love me some horse-related puns.
Also, the music that started playing when Twilight won the confrontation with Scootaloo's male identical twin gave me chills. I love it, please don't change that music before release.
Eep. It seems I have accidentally given people the wrong impression. This game isn't close to release. This about wraps up the implementation of the case engine, but I still need to recruit artistic talent and implement the cases themselves. A release for this game is still quite a ways away. Sorry for the confusion, and for the disappointment if this has caused any. :(
ReplyDeleteGabuEx, congratulations on the progress you've made so far. I hope you and I can finish each our game projects, regardless of who releases it first.
ReplyDeleteHaving never played Phoenix Wright (PSP owner here, not DS), I am kind of unfamiliar how this type of games are constructed. However, it reminds me a lot of Snatcher for the Sega CD/PS1/Saturn, which was an absolute joy to play. Best of luck there!
That's it, I'm so gonna persuade my DS-owning friend into buying Ace Attorney and then letting me borrow it for like a month.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Pinkie Pie confrontation was somehow adorable at the end. :)
this is so awesome, I so wanna play this...
ReplyDeleteI've never posted on EQD before, but I had to make an exception for this.
ReplyDeleteHonestly. I'm a huge Ace Attorney fan, having played all of the games multiple times, and I also really enjoyed Ghost Trick.
But none of those games can compare to Ace Attorney with Ghost Trick music and ponies mixed in. Nothing can.
Good sir game creator, you're amazing and I can't wait for the second I can get my hands on this game.
(no pressure though)
Amazing demo! But wow that speach text sped by fast. Will there be an option to slow it down so younger kids can play it too?
ReplyDelete@frith I think that's just him making it go fast, it'll probably give enough time to read and more.
ReplyDeletehe this looks like a nice game to play! Just like phoenix write!
ReplyDelete@frith
ReplyDeleteThe game pauses after each block of dialog for the player to click the mouse in order to advance the conversation. When you're playing, the game will wait as long as you need to read the text.
I am now a fan of Phoenix Wright :)
