Patrick: "WE SHOULD TAKE THE BRONY ARTISTS/ AND PUSH THEM INTO VOCALIST CLASSES" but no, these guy's put a lot of effort into their work and that stands for a lot. Also they do it out of the love of a community/ tv show that is totally awesome. They deserve ALL the props, but the audiophile within me still shudders from time to time x_x
@Versilaryan When I wrote that comment I had only listened to the third song. Your song I then listened to and immediately downloaded. Your singing was pretty much flawless, though your mic quality/ recording location made it seem a bit lackluster. The singing itself was great though. Also I had just finished listening to some pretty bad brony singing before viewing this post. I myself could never sing anything like your song because I, much to my chagrin, have the vocal range of half an octave. I do play/ listen to a lot of music however, cause its awesome.
@Shutterfly Haha, that's what I get for recording in a practice room. xD Problems happen when there's no natural reverb whatsoever. Thanks so much for the comment, though!
I'm sure you could expand that range a ton if you worked on it. You seem to know what you're talking about as far as sound quality, and that's the hard part of singing. =)
@GrimReaper I wouldn't really call what I said feedback per say, considering it was more of a reactionary comment stemming from my history of habitually listening to legendary voices like Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, or Billy Joel. I of course can't realistically expect this magnitude of vocal skill (or recording quality for that matter). As for some actual constructive criticism, I feel like the track could use some remixing/ levels fixing, but I think you're probably already doing that based on the apparently unfinished status of the song on youtube. The actual vocals are reasonable, with the notable exception of the held notes being shaky/ off key from time to time. Overall I feel like you can probably improve it just by doing it again, which you're already doing so, good luck
@Versilaryan A strong sense of perfectionism and working off of previously mentioned standards like Joel or Sinatra make practicing singing a pretty painful process for me, but I try XD

I like the 3rd one. It seems off, though. If it was better synced up I'd like it more.

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say I did it at least once on here, I usually like to be at least sixth because it's my lucky number.

ReplyDeleteIf you didn't like my singing, you're free to tell me what I can improve upon. =P
@Versilaryan
ReplyDeleteI like your singing, you're completely in tune and your voice is much better than the songs I have heard that have dudes singing in them.
