I remember these... always did suck at them. Apparently this is part of a series aimed at the holiday season. This one in particular was found at a Walmart in Canada.
Hopefully they pop up around the US some time in the future! More images can be found after the break. (And thanks to Blizzard Breeze for those)

Hey, an official pony game!!
ReplyDeleteI hate memory games
ReplyDeleteBut ponies make it 20% cooler
Do want!
ReplyDeleteI think I`d prefer monopoly, Equestria edition
ReplyDeleteDo they expect us to forget about our ponies? I WILL NEVER FORGET!!!
ReplyDeleteDO WANT.
ReplyDeleteOh the nostalgia, Ispy anyone?
ReplyDeleteI used to be so good at these types of games, I don't know how but I was.
ReplyDelete@SpeshBun OH YES!!! I WOULD BUY THAT IN A HEARTBEAT!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved this game growing up.
ReplyDeleteMy 2nd grade teacher had us play this to sharpen our memory skills and I was the fastest one to clear it!
The memories. If I could get this for my neph-kids I would!
@Rainbow Smashley
ReplyDeleteI c wat u did there
Rubberfruit voice: MINE!!
ReplyDelete"I remember these... always did suck at them."
ReplyDeleteYOU REMEMBER SUCKING AT MEMORY GAMES?
SETH YOUR LOGIC CONFUSES AND SADDENS ME :(
Also: DO WANT! Why don't I live in Canada?! Hockey... Curling... Ponies... You guys have it all!
@SpeshBun
ReplyDeleteShit, that would be so sweet! I wonder which pony would be the race car.
This reminds me of that scene in episode 18 with Apple Bloom trying to predict what's on the cards.
ReplyDelete@MandoPony
ReplyDeleteBeen a Canadian all my life, never had maple syrup in all my life. Also, who says "eh" except my Grandparents these days?
Cute little game. I remember these when I was little too. And even playing them on the computer way way back. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat as Seth in these, only after getting two right was I good.
ReplyDeleteA monopoly, stratigo or a Dungeon and Dragons role-play
I CALL SHADOWBOLT RAINBOW DASH!
Once again riding the memory express back...not sure how many years. It was back in elementary. Maybe this would help sharpen my little sister's memory.
ReplyDeleteWANT
ReplyDeleteHoly fucking shit! And I'm going to Wallmart tomorrow! With any luck, it will be at my local Walmart in Québec!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame it's the same vectors as always, including hatless Applejack. I'd rather take the time to make my own set for children to play with than pick this up, even if it costs me more in ink and cardboard than picking it up in a store.
ReplyDelete@XTUX345 Maybe we should switch countries...? I love maple syrup (the real stuff, not the maple flavored high fructose corn syrup) and I say "Eh" all the time. Hmm.
ReplyDeletemind=blown
Yay Canada!
ReplyDelete@Jimmy James Dash, of course!
ReplyDeletePony Mahjong?
ReplyDeleteThey have these at TRU in Canada too - bought mine there last month.
ReplyDeleteI work in a Canadian Walmart toy department, and was literally just about to send an email about it. Most of the vectors are pretty good quality for hasbro, except for one unfortunate looking twilight one.
ReplyDeleteI made a My Little Pony Themed Card Game, but nobody cares about that. v.v

TO WALMART, AWAY!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that Hasbro didn't REMEMBER to include show-accurate character art!
ReplyDelete@Zayne sounds like they didnt pay you in gum either
ReplyDeleteY'know. That SOUNDS interesting, but to be honest.. if you paid the premium to get a custom deck of cards printed, you could probably create a much more interesting memory game of MLP using the wealth of pre-existing fan-art.
ReplyDeleteNifty, but I don't find it as awesome. It would cost a bit much for a deck of cards, but it wouldn't be hard at all to make a more interesting memory game.
Memory game? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
ReplyDeleteWhere's my MLP Risk board game?!
ReplyDeleteDarn it. I was just at Wal-Mart today. I ended up buying other merch for my school's toy and food drive. If only this was posted eight hours ago.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people are not too interested in my game. I mean, others make pony plushies, t-shirts and get praised while I'm just ignored or disliked.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'm happy to make them for everypony to have! Great game for cons and such. Tested it out, it was a volleyball game at first. The rules were simplified and more clear now. :)

@SpeshBun
ReplyDeleteMonopony?
Seriously, why does Applejack never have her hat in these things? C'mon, Hasbro!
ReplyDeletePony Guess Who, please! Come on! The show has more than its fair share of background characters!
ReplyDeleteI once extracted a Simon Says type of game on a touch screen arcade machine out to a sequence of darn near 20+.
ReplyDeleteI pwn @ MLP Memory but I'm terrible at the normal game...
ReplyDeleteI bought one of these from walmart a while back they couldn't seem to run it through the scanner which I thought was odd. Great fun game.
ReplyDelete@Floof Cat
ReplyDeleteThis. Besides, this way we could also include Spike, Luna, Derpy, Trixie, Zecora, and all our other beloved minor ponies.
I know where I will be shopping soon.
ReplyDeleteYay for Canadian Celestia not being pink! Perhaps this holiday season the U.S. will get some white Celestia merch like this?
ReplyDelete@sphynn
ReplyDeleteThe vector art of Celestia has always been white. It's only the toys that are pink.
