Loved the Fleet Week story, especially the bit about the cruise missile (Holy heck, ponies with cruise missiles? Someone needs to write an Equestrian Navy story.)
Though the highlight was the prison system, hands down. Seriously, why put a reality-warping super villian in a public garden?
Nice fleet week reference, and the missile thing, would it be connected to the mysterious rocket launched off the San Diego coast thing some time ago? And Yay, New Lunar Republic ponies were "accidentally" killed :D
@The communist pony I was the one who wrote the Fleet Week article. To be honest, I didn't even think about the mysterious "California Rocket" before you brought it up.
Silly Luna, Ironclad ships aren't made of metal. Underneath it is normal, floating wood.
Else they'd just call them 'iron' instead of 'ironclad', ya know.
To the writer of the fleetweek story: shame you didn't name the ironclad "Thunderchild". That would have made it 20% cooler, on top of the 100% cool it already is :)
and Duhr, of *course* Equestria is Pony Britain... come on... Canterlot? A monarchy...?
Could be the Netherlands too, but I haven't seen any pot references :3
@Darkfoxx Luna's been out of the loop for 1,000 years. Everything was wood back then, so I'm sure she wouldn't know the proper definition for an "ironclad."
I did model the Royal Equestrian Navy after the UK's Royal Navy, although in retrospect, the HMS Sethisto (which fired that cruise missile) should be a frigate rather than a cruiser. If I did go for The Netherlands, then Sugarcube Corner would be selling Stroopwafels.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was a cutie mark for writing! How was I supposed to know it was just an ink stain!?
@Sweetie Belle
ReplyDeleteWell, Scootaloo thought she found her's tha' one time!
I commend the author of the piece by Edd for having the restraint to not do an Ed/Scootaloo "I love chickens, Eddy!" joke.
ReplyDeleteI laughed way too much at the "no, I'm not, I'm a chicken" line
ReplyDeleteThat ed edd and eddy poem brought tears of nostalgia to my eye. Well done sir. You can have all my internets.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed reading that, good stuff (especially the Edd, Ed and Eddy poem).
ReplyDeleteOne thing though, technically "quote" is a verb. The part in the prison expose should really be "quotation".
Sorry, couldn't resist...
Seablast's log was easily the highlight.
