      Some of you seem to be wondering about #8.

      The artist cartoon lion often portrays her with a dick and calls her Futashy. It even has a tumblr where apparently Pinkie and Dash are a human couple and have "Futashy" as a pet that humps everything.

      Personally, I hate it.

      Some very cool images this Drawfriend!

      1) She should take off the glasses more often. Great work on this one.
      2) Rarity working her reformed tail is always a favorite with me. Always love this artist's style.
      3) Another outstanding portrait, with a unique style, dynamic pose and great coloring.
      4) I've never fully gotten behind the idea that Celestia and Discord used to be sweet on each other. Still, a neat image. Love her mane.
      5) Uh-oh. Derpy is not happy again, although this time she's testy rather than sad.
      6) Oh, Twilight. That's just not right.
      7) Okay, that's pretty funny. Love the look on Scoot's face.
      8) Do I want to know why Fluttershy felt the need to point this out?
      9) Again with the cozy enemies... I feel like its the equivalent of drawing Luke Skywalker making out with the Emperor. (Knowing the internet, someone probably already has.) Really nice style and coloring though.
      10) Not only has she loosened her tie, she's gone the wet-mane look! It suits her. Great portrait.
      11) Why aren't the skies out here like this? Brilliant blue and full of ponies.
      12) Pinkie! Don't smudge the lens! Cute image.
      13) Scratch is mission ready.
      14) Great shading and brush work on this adorable Derpy snowmare.
      15) Happiness is a colorful tortoise.
      16) Heh... funny, and well done!
      17) Derpy can solve the riddle. The heads behind her are a bit disconcerting.
      18) Oh my... glasses just make her that much more adorable.
      19) Do a barrel roll! Really neat image.
      20) Moody and evocative. Is that a Luna statue?
      21) What has upset poor Screwy so? Love her eyes.
      22) Left for Dead ponies? Or some other game?
      23) Wow... she looks fierce!
      24) I still wonder where the charge for Tank's helicopter came from. Cool to see a show-accurate portrait of him.
      25) That's a different style for Luna... I quite like it.
      26) A really nicely done job on the shading here.
      27) This is probably my favorite of the day. Sure, it's probably meant as a prelude to shipping, but it's such a charming image, and I love the use of textures to create the background.

      Great work every artist, and a great collection all together!

      #1 Aw yeah, I love me some awesome Vinyl art. This artist does some really lovely digital work. I like the addition of the old little toy record player. I think I had one of those at one point when I was little.
      #2 Dat Rarity tail whip. Cute and I like the shading style this artist uses.
      #3 This is quite the awesome art style. I tend to really like styles done similar to this one. Nice, flowing and kinda whimsical.
      #4 Dat shipping couple. Discord seems to like where this is going...
      #6 Com'on, we all knew these pics were coming after that comment in the episode. Admittedly, this is what first popped into my head as well. lol I think Twilight would make an adorable pet. And she's very loyal. <3

      #27 That's rather cute. Looks like some interesting textures used in this too. This piece has got a certain serene peacefulness to it. At least to me. It could just be the rain, dark clouds and overall stormy feel though. I'm a sucker for those types of scenes. lol

      Loads of great art tonight!

      #1: Great portrait; I love how the lighter blue stripes in her mane and tail look like they're glowing.

      #3: I'm going to have to keep an eye on this tumblr; I love this old-fashioned style, and it works perfectly with Rainbow Dash's dynamic pose. This one's my favorite of the night.

      #5: I might need to keep an eye on this tumbler too; this is a nice portrait of a pair of close friends having a "spirited disussion", and the artist has given Derpy a unique backstory.

      #8: I think @richfiles has already said all that needs to be said about this drawing.

      #10: So, is John Joseco going to be doing wet-mane ponies instead of morning ponies? I could live with that. And Octavia's a fine choice for this treatment.

      #12: And there goes the fourth wall again...

      #14: I lol'd! This is one of the funnier Derpy drawings in a while.

      #17: And here's the sequel.

      #18: Repost, but I'm not complaining; I love Briskby's drawings of Derpy.

      #19: I love the lighting and the unusual angle on this drawing; they really give it a feeling of motion.

      #20: Wonderful use of contrast and shading; this drawing reeks of atmosphere. It almost looks like charcoal.

      #23: Very effective use of distortion to give the impression of Dash on the verge of a Sonic Rainboom.

      #25: Cute storybook-style portrait of Luna; I could see this in a foal's picture book on Equestria.

      #26: It's a simple portrait of Twilight Sparkle, but I love it; the shadows from the shrubbery really add to the feeling of realism.

      #27: A joyous picture of two friends horsing around in the rain; I knew DJB123 would love it, and I half-expect WhiteDiamonds to squee when she sees it.

      But anyway yes, that #27... I know it's not the case obviously, but I almost feel as though this picture was made specifically for me, as I wanted to do something similar after seeing Sisterhooves Social. And of course these are my two favorite ponies and I also enjoy shipping them way too much. I'd probably gush even more enthusiastically but I'm trying to refrain, otherwise I'm sure I'll just embarrass myself... *ahem* Needless to say I love it though!

      And it's true, there really is a smashing collection of artworks in tonight's Drawfriend. I'd love to be able to comment on them all but I have just gotten home from work, have not eaten a single thing all day and feel as though I could fall asleep at the keyboard so yes, I'll keep it brief...

      #1 This is truly a gorgeous artwork... the shading/coloring is so smooth it almost looks like plastic or something and I absolutely adore the glowing music notes and streaks in Vinyl's mane, they're fantastic. Beautifully done.
      #9 I don't know if this is supposed to be shippy or whatever but it doesn't matter; this is a beautiful piece of art as far as I'm concerned. I even love those creepy little mushroom-things running around at the bottom.
      #15 I am really envious of artists who are this fearless when it comes to color... this is so fabulous in so many ways. My kudos to you artist...
      #19 Love the composition on this one; I imagine that must be what it's like to dip and roll through the sky like Rainbow does. It makes me miss my coastal home too. Lovely job.
      #26 Another one I feel obligated to mention... love the cast shadow of the foliage here and the artist's painting technique.

      Why are you all so good? I really need to step up my fanart-game if I'm going to keep putting my work up, I guess.
