Thanks to FiM, I have tacked "Have a Spa Day" on my life's to-do list, partly because I really wanna know if it mud they bathe in, and partly because I'd like a massage. I had my 'man-card' revoked over nine months ago when I started watching this show, I don't think I have anything to lose in completing this new goal
#1 Haha, pretty clever and funny. AJ is learning some new tricks from Pinkie Pie. Hmm, now it makes me wonder what would happen if MLP was made for 3D tv? ...Pinkie Pie jumping out the screen...like I could almost touch her.... o.O DO WANT! Now I just have to make sure to get a 3D tv if the animation team ever does that.
#2 lol, I was expecting the song. I guess that explains Luna's behavior. But I guess we will probably have to wait until next season before we see her again *sigh*
Listen my Bronies and Pegasisters. We could put a pony in to a popular computer game if you helped me. League of Legends the online rts pvp game allows referrals. When you hit 10,000 you get to create your own character. I ask of you all. The orbital friendship canon must be used against everyone who is filled with hate.
For those who TL:DR Follow this link.get to lvl 5 and I’ll make a My Little Pony Character In LeagueOfLegends. https://signup.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/index?ref=4e0784fc84bd6368649259
The funny thing about this is, the facial mud mask that I utilize on occasion (I am a girl who values proper skin care, thank you very much) is a special green clay that's imported from France. There are just certain properties in specific types of mud and clay that are excellent for drawing out impurities, is all.
But anyhow, that having been said I do adore the first comic, of course... Rarity and Applejack interaction almost always makes for some fantastic entertainment. ^.^ Very cute and funny.
As for the second comic, I do believe "Trollestia" sums it up quite nicely.
#1 The continuation of this will be AJ helping Rarity switching out the regular mud in the mud hole for imported spa treatment mud. And with the way Sweetiebelle hops across the mud hole and through the whole race I think this comic confirms that Pinkie has been giving out lessons on how to defy physics.
#2 Hey Celestia has her priorities strait, would you rather go trick-or-treating or watch MLP.
I certainly do feel like the only one in the pony fandom from time to time... the irony.
And funnily enough, there are apparently a lot of people out there who still assume I am a guy, despite my username and everything else (I'd like to wonder what sort of guy would name himself after not only a rare and "girly" gemstone, but also an Elizabeth Taylor fragrance. But then again I'm sure they exist). Go figure.
@WhiteDiamonds Aw thanks, I have submitted some of my stuff on EQ before, but this one I didn't (mostly because it was pretty lazily done). So I was quite shocked to see someone else had submitted it for me.
As for pony comics, I say go for it! The internet needs more pony comics imo!
You know what's funny is that I've noticed I have far better success getting my artwork up here when I don't submit it myself... more irony you have to love.
Oddly enough, even as a man with next to no interest in such things, even I knew that the mud using in facial masks had specific properties for that purpose.
@WhiteDiamonds "I certainly do feel like the only one in the pony fandom from time to time... the irony."
"And funnily enough, there are apparently a lot of people out there who still assume I am a guy..."
Ugh, I imagine that can be quite alienating at times. :(
It's genuinely weird for me to discover how much of pony fandom seems to be male, particularly when I was introduced to it through my female friends.
Haven't been having any trouble with gender (Then again its kinda hard withthat propblem due to being "the community bicycle", ugh.....)
But yeah, its hard at times because of all the guys in this fandom. :/ i honestly only know....., two? Three? Bronies irl, and about six others are females.
While I can see how people might make that mistake (and again as you say, avatar as well... bless you though =^.^=), that obviously doesn't make it any less annoying.
That comic does sum it up quite nicely, really (I've said it before, but I'm one of those FiM fans who has been into ponies since the original G1 toys, you see; I am old enough for that). Also, my props to you for being a man who is not afraid to admit he knows a thing or two about some beauty treatments, even if they don't particularly interest you. ^_~
Also, how did I miss this? You poor thing you... *pats*
And am I the only person who finds it funny that this ended up sparking a whole discussion on various gender-related subjects and the females in this fandom? Haha~
@WhiteDiamonds The funny thing is, it doesn't bother me when someone assumes I'm female; whenever I correct someone about it, I make sure to point out that there's no need to apologize, I understand how they make that assumption, etc. And yet, almost every time, they're horribly embarrassed and apologetic, as though they had insulted me by not realizing I'm male. Sometimes I'm tempted to just let them address me as Ms. rather than risk having them feel so embarrassed... *^^*
P.s.: If you have a moment, check the artist's comments on the source page of that first comic...

ReplyDeleteAJ, quit trying to be Pinkie Pie.
ReplyDeleteTrollestia Strikes again!

ReplyDeleteAs I recall, Applejack already offered a theory about this in "A Dog and Pony Show:"
ReplyDelete"Now I'm used to pickin' myself up and dustin' myself off, but Rarity won't even TOUCH mud unless it's imported."

ReplyDeleteReally good stuff here
ReplyDelete#1 The "have you been hanging around Pinkie Pie" line made me laugh, silly Rarity.
ReplyDelete#2 Oh well, I'm entitled a few pranks aren't I?
Glad to have some happy stuff after that terrible bill.

#1 Looks like Applejack is picking up some of Pinkie's special talents such as the ability to break walls and show others flashbacks. :P
ReplyDelete#2 Oh, Trollestia. You sly mare, you. Bottom panel cracked me up. xD
Just to say, after 1,000 years of banishment and her first night out and she'll be alone. Way to be a great sister Celestia!

ReplyDeleteCelestia...why you so Troll? lmao
ReplyDeleteIt's mud alright, but I'm pretty sure they hav a special blend and a way of preparing it.

ReplyDeleteLies! All lies!
There are no girls on the internet. LOL.
1. AJ is hiding in the mud while Rarity is travlin in the mud
ReplyDelete2.Celestia and Luna talk the event at the night. Like the Troll face at the end.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I get it too. lol People automatically assume most everyone are males online.
I lost it at the last panel of the second comic.
ReplyDeletelol, imagine my surprise when i saw my comic up there...
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteIf anything it's even worse for you; you are named after what is most decidedly a female pony! Silly boys.
@╚(ಠ、ರೃ )╗
Kudos to you, dear! I still hope to try my own hand at pony-comics someday.
@WhiteDiamonds

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, my pleasure!
You know what's funny is that I've noticed I have far better success getting my artwork up here when I don't submit it myself... more irony you have to love.
Oh and thanks for the encouragement, by the way!
Why is AJ breaking the 4th wall?
ReplyDelete@smokeydabear I think we already tried tgis a few months ago. It didn't work.
ReplyDeletetoo much exposure to Pinkie gives one the ability break foruth walls...I see
ReplyDelete@WhiteDiamonds
ReplyDeleteAnd quite a few people assume I'm female, because they assume Jody is a female name. Oh, the irony.
(Granted, I'm probably not helping matters at the moment with my icon, but it's just too pretty to change...)
Lol, I love how both Rarity and Applejack break the fourth wall!
ReplyDeleteAnd Celestia in that comic - she has broken the fourth wall to the extent that she watches the series itself! Poor Luna though.
Great comics!
Also, don't feel lost WhiteDiamonds - I'm a pegasister/female brony too.
@WhiteDiamonds

Mud baths work better when you don't have a fur coat.

ReplyDeleteOn that note, I am reminded of the following...

@Adam Crocker
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how often I've been tempted to link to that exact same comic page...

ReplyDeletePerhaps that's why she feels obligated to indulge in them more frequently than most people would... have to try and maximize effectiveness you know.
