Background music is hardly noticed because of all of the other sounds but when you remove the voices, it sounds much more apparent. My favorite background theme is the Cutie Mark Crusading theme. :D
Oh my Luna! More BGM pieces! #1: A disturbance is occurring - nice use of that dramatic, ominous feeling at the very start. For the Smartypants part, it quickly turns into a short but quirky, and humorous tingle; quick but single. Then it warps back to the situation with Princess Celestia, the feeling and thoughts of Twilight Sparkle going back to kindergarten occupied by the music made a very nice touch. #2: Nice halloween jingle. This describes the citzens of Ponyville having a good time entertaining themselves with treats, games, and dancing. Simply perfect, and on to the point. #3: Oooh, another nice one! Although I'm bit saddened that it ended with Luna opening her wings. I have a feeling that the music sequence was longer...but hmmm, I'll check later.
Thank you once again William Anderson for the BGM, and the people who tried their very best to rip out the BGM from the episodes.
I always loved the not-so-subtle reprise of Nightmare Moon's theme during Luna's entrance. Now, more than ever, I'd like to get to meet William Andersen.
Heh, first time I heard it (during the episode) the second song reminded me of Tetris.
Just recently had some BGM playing in my head that I couldn't place. Took me a whole morning to realize it was the BGM from when Twi is complaining about the cupcakes in Lesson Zero.

Thank you, junkiesnewb!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, music for celebration of the creation of BROHOOF! Excellent.
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteI love #2!

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't suggest #1 in 720p...
ReplyDeleteThe second video reminds me of Dancing Christmas in the 13th month in a game called Ragnarok online. It played in Niffleheim.
ReplyDelete#3 fits to well
ReplyDelete#1 720p makes me think of a helicopter that makes snapping/popping noises.

There is no way the similarity to the Munsters theme is accidental for #2.
ReplyDeleteGotta love how they used Nightmare Moon's Theme from Season 1 Episode 2 in the last video.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy seeing these... There's so much to take in when you're not distracted following the dialog.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what a BGM was until I looked at a few here.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Colgate's starting to take after me! She even wore gloves with fingers!
ReplyDeleteIt's like I have a third sister!
Love how #3 starts with the NMM theme. Made me enjoy Luna's entrance that much more.
ReplyDelete"Wait...that music...oh hell yes!"
The beginning of Nightmare Night Festivities sounds like something out of Umineko. I APPROVE.
ReplyDelete(Beginning of One Friendship REport Too Late sounds like slow Touhou music, also kind of cool.)
Sethisto, you derp. I ripped #2.
ReplyDeleteI still love you anyway. =3
#2 is so funny and #3 so epic :D
ReplyDelete- Very nice music!
ReplyDelete- Nice?!
- Right! It is spectacular!
#3 somehow reminds me of Star Wars...
