The first Ace fic I'v seen, +10 points for originality!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how tennis could become something that makes him have to "utilize his skills to protect everything he holds dear."
tennis & chaos, maybe the oddest but most interesting combination ever
ReplyDeleteI don't think iv'e seen and Ace fic this will be an interesting read
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it would be an awesome follow up to "My Time Among Clothes Hangers"
ReplyDeleteAh, Argembarger! I'm already intrigued!

ReplyDeleteFinished reading it, I'm not quite sure how he was, "protecting everything he holds dear," when Discord said nothing would happen if he(Discord) won.(and that's exactly what happened, nothing)
It was an okay fic though, nothing memorable, really.
ReplyDeleteGreat, now i can only think of Ace and Pinkie shipping.
ReplyDeleteGood fic.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds remarkably like the story to Monty Python's "Science Fiction Sketch," except that Angus Podgorny wasn't a tennis player.
First Equestria Hockey League updates, now this? It's a great day for sports fics, it seems.
ReplyDeleteThe story certainly lived up to its 'random' tag, but it was short enough that I found it amusing, rather than frustrating. Short, funny, silly stuff.
Nice and short. The wording was hard for me to follow though

ReplyDeleteSPOILERS
The terms were that Discord would leave Equestria if Ace won. Ace was playing tennis in an attempt to get Discord out of Equestria and end the threat of eternal chaos for his home and friends. That's more or less "protecting everything he holds dear" in my book.
If your issue was that Ace didn't protect anything because he lost, well... yeah. Ace never stood a chance. It's Discord.
That's one good lookin' vector ;D
ReplyDeleteLol, Argembarger
ReplyDeleteas long as this one doesn't have any spiders...
