I think it might be time to replace all those old statues up in D.C., because this Luna is way cooler. Bigponymac recently sculpted this over a ~21 hour period. At 15" tall, it would make a beastly centerpiece.
I wonder how much one of these would sell for? Is there the same kind of demand for one of these as that 5000 dollar Fluttershy plushie?
Check out his gallery for a step by step demonstration!

Dayumm... speechless.
ReplyDeleteThat takes some serious skill.
ReplyDeleteoh wow... looking good :3
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a bitch to sculpt...it looks freakin' gorgeous, though.
ReplyDeleteI want that~
ReplyDeletejust amazing
ReplyDeleteConsidering ponies aren't supposed to be 3D that looks exactly like Luna. If it were coloured/painted, there might be a lot of people throwing their wallets in Bigponymac's direction.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, thats amazing.
ReplyDeleteWith the lack of quality MLP merchandise, you can bet anything sporting such good craftsmanship to be in demand. This should sell for at least $2000, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteSome of this stuff can be sold for thousands...
ReplyDeleteAnd seth, it's 2 hours until Phoe is launched to the Galapogos, is she safe or not?
Wow, thats too awesome for words.
ReplyDeleteAlso, $5000 for a Fluttershy plushie!? Wow, was that the Gala Fluttershy? Or just one that I didn't see..
Dat sculpture. Luna. <3 Actually, looking at their gallery. All dem awesome sculptures. So much clay! Very nice work on these.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's no question that something of this quality could sell for a ridiculous amount. Maybe he would sell it if he ever felt like getting a new car.
ReplyDeleteWow... Amazing. Just amazing. Serious respect to a person who has sculpting skill good enough to create something this awesome. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteFun Fact: Luna owned more slaves than all of the Founding Fathers put together.
ReplyDeleteI will give you a kidney and my first born child for this
ReplyDelete> Get Luna bust.
ReplyDelete> Use as mask for Halloween.
> Win life.
Do want. :3
the detail work is insane....now...how about the rest of her....
ReplyDeleteWould love to see it complete! Still looks epic anyway :D
ReplyDeleteXD 5k yikes O_O though cant wait to see that masterpiece colored ^_^
ReplyDeleteSON, I AM SO PROUD RIGHT NOW.
ReplyDeleteSO.

Almost makes me wanna bust out my old sculpting clay and give one of these a shot.

ReplyDeleteGood god... just being Luna wins all.
ReplyDeleteIf i could choose between this or any sculpture from Muchelangelo, this would be my choice... seriously, i wish i could see Luna every morning in my living room when i wake up.
That´s amazing, and must have got some serious hard work on it, very talented.
Name you price brony...
ReplyDeleteYou rock! Woohoo. :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone should make a life-sized full-body sculpture of Luna and color it! That would be an absolute win!
At a glance, I thought it said 'Priceless Luna Sculpture'.
ReplyDeleteI'd accept either anyway.
If I were him I would cast molds of that thing. That way reproductions of it could be made fairly easily.
ReplyDeleteConfound EqD. Taunting me with this pony paraphernalia that I can never have...
ReplyDeletefeels bad man.
On a more positive note; that Luna sculpture is... amazing, to say the least. I can't wait to see what she looks like out of the kiln and painted/glazed.
I'd love to have that. o.o
ReplyDelete@Borda
ReplyDeleteThis is Bigponymac.
I can make it happen. I've got to make a large sculpture at the end of this semester. Big enough to where I have to build it in pieces.
@DMac
ReplyDeleteWhats holding you back dude?
BUCKING
GO FOR IT!
I'll be watching your dA sir.
Are you going to finish painting the sculpture?
ReplyDeleteIf you paint it, you can haz all my money.
ReplyDelete@BlackStar03
ReplyDeleteI most certainly will but I have to wait for the piece to get fired.
There's a Luna/Nightmare Moon piece that I glazed earlier. I'm going to wait to see how that turns out before I decide to glaze it or paint it.
I, for one, would not sell it.
ReplyDeleteUnless as a last resort
If I may quote Seth for a moment, "You bronies are crazy." So much talent.
ReplyDeleteShit, I just realized We're less than 3 days away from the Luna episode.

This community never ceases to amaze me.
ReplyDelete@DMac
If ya do it, you'll be > than Michelangelo. To hay with David, Luna's where it's at!
A full sized Luna sculpture needs to go on tour so bronies everywhere can get the chance to see... (and hug).. Luna. Just sayin..
ReplyDeleteLuna, Luna, Luna, I made you out of clay; and when you're dry and ready, with Luna I shall play!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cool, I want one for my house XD.
If only I still had access to clay, I could still be doing this kind of stuff...but ponies.
ReplyDeleteALL OF MY MONEY!!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like about it is how hollow my eyes are.
ReplyDelete@Luna
ReplyDeleteIt's a common practice to hollow out the pupils in a sculpture, Princess.
When they are hollowed out, shadows are created which fall inside the pupil. This insinuates that the pupils are black without paints or glazes to tell you that they are black.
WANT IT
ReplyDeleteNEED IT!
...
ReplyDeleteWANT
NOW MAKE THE REST OF THE BODY AHAHHAHAHAH
