#1 was a conglomeration of lots of different songs, and managed to not sound like crap, I'm impressed. It's actually really good, this is definitely one of my favorites.
#2 was good.
#3 is awesome. Had great scene matching and good choice in music.
@DJ-Pinkamina No, he didn't, as you may have noticed, each of the music/PMV posts are in groups of three, he doesn't post them all at once or there'd only be one music/PMV post everyday with lots of content in them, it's just nicer to siphon us the content than to drown us in it.
Not all that impressed with any of them. Lots of special effects, but I'm not really seeing many good ideas or much narrative.
Some of them are impressive with the lip syncing and stuff, but I like AMVs/PMVs that "say" something beyond the lyrics of the song. #3 was the best of the bunch because it at least felt like Pinkie was narrating; the rest seemed haphazard with the scene choice, just literally matching the lyrics ("place your faith in the mountain" = scene with them climbing the mountain. Ugh).
The first one I wasn't very keen on when I started listening to it. Though as the song progressed, I grew to like it more. So all-in-all I think it is a pretty cool and fun song.
Didn't know the song in the second PMV, but it's a nice song. Thought the video was pretty decent too.
Third wasn't bad. Song wasn't bad, not my style totally. But has a nice flow to it. Thought the video was good.
I very much enjoyed #1, though mostly for just the awesome music. The video suited it though too. And #3 was funny and amazing! (Made me think of Chef from South Park at first haha) And thanks for posting mine (though I like mine the least out of the 3).
3) Wins for attention to detail, especially when trying to sync lyrics and music to movement. Very nice. Doesn't hurt that it's a good song too. I could see Pinkie singing that.
1) I liked it
2) It wasn't bad; I enjoyed the story it told. I just got really bugged by the quick changing opaque overlays, especially at the end. It made it feel frantic. Yes, I admit that is nit-picky.
#1: I don't really get what's going on with this one; good job with the music, but it's really not making me feel anything.
#2: The matching of individual scenes with lyrics could've been better, but it's a good song, and by the end I was taken with the overall emotional effect of the video.

#1 was absolutely AMAZING.
ReplyDelete#3 was a great PMV, matched perfectly with the music.
Haven't seen 2 yet.
I love SoGreatAndPowerful so much. I subscribed to him the moment I heard his remix of PPS's Flutterwonder.
ReplyDelete@Jelfes ohhhh ok ^_^ thats good to know, i got kinda worried that he had changed his mind and wasn't gonna put mine up anymore

#1 is original music, is it not? Why is it in a PMV post?
ReplyDeleteAgreed, #1 is more about the music than the PMV. Although technically the person did make a video to go along with their music, so it is a PMV.
ReplyDelete#3 was excellent. Very nice lip syncing, great energy. I liked #1 a lot, too. Had a good mood to it.
ReplyDeleteWhy is number three the first one to use the piano pony (that i've seen)? And also, has he been named yet?
ReplyDelete#3 Was excellent! I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely got a kick out of #3, one of the better PMV's I've seen in awhile!

1 and 3 were really cool. I have a particular thing for jazz/blues roots though.
ReplyDelete#1 was neat sounding.
ReplyDelete#2 was mellow.
#3 just sounded amazing! I need to look that band up.
Why does Goldfish have to be based out of South Africa? I'd hit up clubs every weekend to hear more of that if I could!
ReplyDeletelol sweet. buuuut dont forget about the one year anniversary tomorrow!!!

#3: Over 3 minutes of pure fun; as Dragoon235 mentioned, there's some impressive synching in this video. Bonus points for using Frédéric Horseshoepin, sax-playing Spike, and dancing Discord.

Dude, I wish I could listen that fast. You must be a wizard, or something.
Kudos to the author of number three. They have done Goldfish proud! Really well-done!
ReplyDeleteI discovered Goldfish like... 6 months ago, when the video for "We Come Together" went semi-viral.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that their other music has now found a new base (i.e. bronies).
The Fort Knox one is stupendous.
